Good Morning!!!! 58F @ 9:30AM. Plenty of sunshine. High 64F. Winds light and variable.
There's rain on six of ten days in the long range forecast.:dance1:

Seventy-two DOZEN cookies, Paul? You'd better get started, and maybe look into a gym membership!

Bad news about the planer blades, Ted. Seems like they were like that in high school shop, too; teacher just couldn't keep 'em sharpened because of bone head student moves. Hope yours clean up; I just got used to using a scraper to get out the ridges.

Be neat if you guys in the northern tier of North America could get some Aurora shots to share. It's a bucket list item for me to see 'em in person.

Sounds like a Bucks County rendezvous is on order as soon as we get clear of the Covid Crap.

Ziggy looks way more than a lap full, Doug. Bet he doesn't miss many meals!

Maybe the fish are in Christmas break, Bruce?:confused3:

Any progress on the 80 Kyle?

Had to do a double take of the thumbnail for your garage photo, Drew. That green sky caught my eye, but the photo enlarged OK.:confused2: Shouldn't be too difficult to scribe the gap under the garage door onto a 2x4 and cut a wedge to close up that gap. Then a nice piece of rubber moulding underneath for a good seal. It will help keep the mice out, too.

Saw a YouTube video of the largest plane in the world, a Rusky cargo job, forget what they called it. The video was shot in the factory where they were made, and there's one in there that was abandoned about half way through. It's for sale, and they'll finish it the way the buyer wants, Ken...

One nice thing about the plastic saw horses is you don't have to worry about your saw blade being damaged if you happen to catch one by mistake, RS. From the cuts in mine, I make a LOT of mistakes!

That RoboTractor looks way to tippy to trust on anything but a flat orchard or vineyard. I used to work in Livermore with a bunch of folks, many of whom thought they knew a lot more than they really did. Looked like some of 'em ended up at that tractor factory...

Got the bottom welded on the oil tank yesterday and the sealing lip is still flat, so I lucked out there. But when I filled it with water to check for leaks, it didn't take long to fine 'em. Three right off the bat, one that I had to "fix" three times. I was hoping to get it painted yesterday, but owing to the lousy job I did in welding that seam, I decided to let it sit full of water overnight. My patience was rewarded with two more leaks, that are now nice and rusty. So one more grind/weld/grind/leak test cycle is needed before paint.

Another nice fire last night. You're right, Drew, just nothing compares to the heat comin' off an open flame. Especially once it burns down to a good bed of coals. Gotta love that Volcano Mudslide Stout from a local brewery, too. Strong chocolate flavor with a lick of Kahlua, very creamy head, and smooth in the mouth:licking:

Prolly spend the rest of the day running errands in town; the Ford needs a new set of wiper blades for the trip.

Hang in there gang, Friday's comin'!

46F, sunny, and absolutely beautiful outside @ 13:00, headed up to a high of 50F. Supposed to be even warmer (56F) tomorrow ...

Need to refill hopper, squirrel, nugget, and one suet feeder. Will get bird bath plugged today as well.

Ran out early yesterday evening and picked up both orders at the two Depot's. The four sheets of Wonder Board that I picked up smelled like they had been sprayed down with something (very perfumey ... :yuck:) ... maybe with disinfectant ? Need to get those out of the van today so they can air out ... :confused2:

Amazon just dropped off the diamond cutting wheels and arbors for the Rotozip.

Any time any vehicle comes down the driveway that little Squeak runs and hides ...

Except when it's The Woman. How does she know that ? :confused2:

Have to go out and pick up prescriptions later.

Probably try and get a little more clean up done outside in the meantime. Need to remember to grab the roll of visqueen out of the barn while I'm out there ...

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day ...

Hahaha .... yeah, no kidding. The cookies and fudge are being divided three ways; 1/3 goes with the friend who helped her, 1/3 stays with us, and 1/3 goes with me to work tomorrow for the people there (which was very well-received last year).

We have three Border Collies like that. They'll jump up from wherever they are and run to the back door before she's even slowed down to turn into the driveway.

25-53 today, that 25 caught me off guard.

My experience with Bucks County consists of multiple trips to Bristol to pick up motors, transmissions, wiring harnesses, etc... from Contemporary Corvettes.

I remember around 1959-60 there was a solar storm that produced Northern Lights that we could see in northeastern NC. Fairly dim as I recall and just after sunset.

Rip, what’s the plan for the pickup, original, hot rod or restomod?

Mostly, hope you had a nice boat ride, that’s the best part of fishing.

I think everyone feels an attachment to where the grew up and went to school. I miss the Outer Banks, playing high school ball and all the other things that come with youth.

We think we miss the place but we really miss the time in our life. The place will always be there but the time has passed.

Have a good afternoon gents.

Dogs hearing is so good that they can differentiate between sounds made by a strangers car or truck and one from their home! One of ours has even got used to the sound of the most frequent pizza delivery driver’s cars!

Yes you are correct. He was fine until we got him fixed a few years ago and the vet warned us that he would probably put on weight so it is a bit of a battle. We buy a special food for him but he loves his mince and anything else that we eat, he wants. Being a Queenslander he loves bananas but he only gets a small bit. We have 2 other little ones as well (not pugs) but Ziggy has been with us 9 years tomorrow. Have to give him a treat for his birthday. Here is a pic of him learning to use the Laptop.

So true. Any neighbour can drive up our road without a murmur from the dogs, but, when that postmans car comes, they hear it from way down the road and go nuts. The postie recently change vehicles and it took the dogs a couple of days to realize it was him but now it's back to normal. LOL

This is what happens when mum comes home from shopping. (bit dark for video) Turn your volume up and listen the the chinese crested when he gets wound up.
He wasn't too bad this time. I think he knew I was doing a video.

My dog can tell whose coming down the street. She gets excited and comes to the fence when my wife or I pull onto the street. Although it really confused her for a few days when momma got a new car. She wasn't sure if she needed to bark or wag her tail.

Neighbors said her hackles will stand up when she hears the UPS or FedEx trucks before they turn down our street. Once they hit the street the barking and growling starts

Yep, dogs develop habits just as humans do. When I was a teenager, I worked as a postman, part time when a regular carrier was off, and in those days in that little town, there were almost no fences around yards, so lots of dogs running loose, and in the whole town, I knew of one dog I needed to watch out for., but as long as you kept looking at him, he would not attack. My OWN collie cross would start barking when she saw the postman coming, INCLUDING IF IT WAS ME.

The funniest experience I ever had with a dog was a rottweiler. I sometimes delivered the Parcel Post in a 1949 Willis Jeep panel wagon with no muffler and no driver's door. Every dog, and I think nearly every human, knew that thing when they heard it coming, and many dogs liked to chase it. We did carry a heavy stick beside the driver's seat, but I never used it. But the first time that rottweiler came running out and barking, and I had a delivery to make at that house, so as I stopped I was reaching for the club, when that rottweiler stepped on a sandbur that stuck in one of his front paws. He just instantly quit barking, came to the door of the old jeep on 3 feet, and hopped up on my seat with one front paw and held up the other one with the sandbur. I pulled the sandbur out and he backed of and went to barking again. Needless to say, I didn't bother with carrying a stick when I got out and took a package to the front door.

Washer doing a test wash. Sadly, my Ryobi endoscope wouldn’t power up even with new batteries. Guess I’m going to have to find those recommendations made back a few days ago. The 5mp one on Amazon looks interesting Amazon.com: DEPSTECH 5.MP WiFi Endoscope HD Inspection Camera, Wireless Snake Camera with Semi-Rigid Cable 6 LED Borescope for Android & iOS Smart - 16.5Ft: Industrial & Scientific

Fortunately I had a box of assorted springs from HF and 1 appears to be perfect replacement.

Also made modification so hopefully washer won’t walk off support again.

I have a 65 lb lap dog that also tries to tear down the door whenever the mail truck or package delivery person comes up. Gracie will go to the door and bark when she hears the mail truck coming.

Thankfully I have a 8 lbs lap dog. That runs to door whenever Ring motion camera says there is motion at garage. Most of the time it is the Sandhill Cranes.

My foot warmer. She’s a bit bigger than she would appear here, can pretty much span a king sized bed.

built another bird feeder waiting for garage guys, they came and did a really nice job putting in the opener, and charged a hundred bucks less than Home Depot.
I tipped the workers well and thanked them for a nice job. Chain drive unit was very quiet and worked perfectly.

Now for some quiet time.

Good evening! 30s in the morning and 70 in the afternoon, nice. Fall colors are finally here with the leaves different colors of rust.IMG_4207.JPG

Bird I have noticed the same with my EGO mower when mowing the grass at a lower length, it really eats up the battery time.

My dog, Whipper, is no lap dog. The other day when I opened the door to retrieve UPS just delivered package ( after the RING alert) she bolted - escaped out the front door. Her freedom only lasted a block when she could not resist the smells of past dogs and must have forgot why she was running. She is not too bright. She still does not know how to play. But she did get a little excitement when an armadillo ran in front of us on the evening trail walk, almost yanked me over to get it and she only weighs 50 pounds.

I know they are destructive but armadillos are like modern dinosaurs.
very cool to be in same habitat but wonder how they are doing after
we have paved over Paradise. Anteaters and armadillos, just don't see them
around here ;)

the weather is forecast as freezing fog. Good night to stay in.

They are quite numerous around my area. Usually encounter them about once a month while walking the dog.

A couple of times I've been able to keep the dog quiet and watch it root around in the neighbor's yard or the ditch along my street.
