Good morning!!!!

Drizzle this morning then clouds and sun, rest of week highs in the 90s lows in the 70s with high humidity. For those of us who make their living outside that type of weather is brutal. Good thing we have plenty of moisture in the ground. Finished moving sons furniture out of apartment into a pod leaving soon for trip back home and all the heat that awaits us next week. Sam did you see auction at Meadows of Dan New Holland coming up in a couple of weeks?

I saw a few of my Jalapenos were deformed. Do you all think this is a pollination problem, or what?

I think something damaged the pepper when it was very young. The site of the damage never grew much and the rest of the pepper grows around it, deforming the shape. I've seen similar things with tomatoes and my bell peppers. I have one cucumber plant that makes me laugh. It grows only stubby cucumbers. They can be 2" around and only 3" long. They kinda look like baby watermelons laying there in the plant.

Larro, poppers are one of my favorite snacks, but if you like them hot, you'll have to add some spice to the cheese or other coating. Your wife did such a great job of seeding those peppers that they will be very mild.

Well the low pressure cell that has been positioned over the east and southeast states has moved west and over us. Maybe all you who have had good wishes for us Texans to get a break from the heat has paid off. Unfortunately, you traded us your rain for our heat. Oh well, you needed to dry out a bit and your gardens will love it.

59 right now and a high of 86 predicted. Low probability of rain (20%), so I'll probably do some mowing today.

Wifey and her sister had a great time in Warren yesterday...which is good. Me....drank beer, babysat the dog and ultimately got pretty looped (especially after opening a bottle of wine last night!). No work until I'm sobered up completely...

good thing Roy.
and I just have to add...every time I look at your hat and the horns...
some latino kid just died by running into the apparently too sharp horns of a giant bull
statue in some park. Texas? Boy will there be lawsuits over this.
so please Roy, when you wear that hat out in public, your favorite hat I'm sure, treat it like a sharp rake,
horns down please when you take it off.

Didn't look when I first got up, but judging by how much I sweated just picking a few peppers and giving the melons, cantaloupes and cukes a shot of blue juice, it was hot and humid. It is overcast, 78 with 90% humidity now. Forecast high is 78 with 60% chance of rain. There was a dark cloud to the west when I first went out, but it had lightened up by the time I came in. It will be a short day at work today. Don't have to go in until noon, and I should be home in plenty of time to watch the race from the DVR.

Jinman, most of the poppers are plenty mild. But once in a while you will bite into one that will fire you up. It is the surprise that gets you. Sometimes she uses sausage instead of bacon. It is a good change of pace. As it turned out, she just got all her stuff mixed up last night, and is doing the poppers right now. She puts them in the freezer for a few minutes after they are filled. Then dips them in milk, flour and bread crumbs. Back in the freezer for a few more minutes. This keeps the filling from running when you cook them. They can be fried or baked.

Hi guys....never on TBN much...woman I have been seeing basically lives here from Friday night thru Monday morning and disappears then to do her part time job and care for grandkids. After a month of learning about each other we are basically committed and expect to be living together a year from now. No "M" word, just living together. 92 degrees here, it finally dried up for the past few days and has been hot as blazes the whole time. Pulled the OEM front Titan turfs off my Deere Saturday morning and sanded and repainted the rims and replaced Titans with Carlisle turfs as well as putting on new valve stems...$233 per pair delivered from Ebay. Best local price for same tires was $300 per pair plus tax. Cannot believe a 14 inch bias ply tire costs so frickin' much.

Have been doing more volunteer work here and there, nothing really major like the ramp/stairs I did two weeks ago. Hoping everyone here is doing well, my apologies for not checking in more often.

Oh, you guys won't believe this: My ex wife could never be persuaded to even try to start my tractor, but my new girlfriend hopped right on and was mowing five minutes later...now THAT tells me she is a keeper....
