Ted, I’d expect you could finesse those ditches with your little backhoe , taking your time.

No, unfortunately, the bucket is way too big for just a 1/2" irrigation Line.... just trenching to below the stone (about 6" deep), so a pick and shovel will work.

Today I used some muscles that have not been active for a while.... I can't let Ken get all buff and muscular.... got the entire trench for the irrigation line dug, pipe installed, and stone re-raked over. All hooked up and a drink given to that landscaping bed.

I could only go about 10' on the trench before I had to take a break to give the back and knee a rest.... utilized the time to finish up the cutting and welding of the cart. Back and forth between the two until both got done... YIPPEE!

So, at least I feel like I accomplished something today.... until I wake up tomorrow....

I will get the cart painted and finished tomorrow for sure! Here are a couple pics...

Oh, and I have a Pulaski tool... one of the greatest wildland firefighting tools.... works great for trenches...

For some reason, every now and then, I like frying burgers with all the seasoning. They have a different flavor / texture...

69F and a steady medium rain ... will likely be pouring buckets in a few minutes if the radar is any indication ...

Made the run to the pet store and picked up dry cat food, Temptations treats, cat grass, and a couple of catnip toys.

After that I headed up to Menards in the Falls to pick up the 80 cap stones, could only find 76, so that's what I came home with.

Stopped at Kreigers Market on the way there and grabbed three different kinds of Ohio Amish grown tomatoes ... so we're set for even more BLT's after tonight ...

Hit a torrential downpour about half the way home and it persisted until I was within a mile of the house.

Got here and it didn't look like it had rained much more if any.

The weather station to the south is showing 1.75" ...

That station a couple miles north of the house that I mentioned earlier that was showing a 1.85" total ... it's now sitting at 3.39" ...

Good evening all. 70F for the start, partly cloudy sky, calm wind. Wind picked up to moderate then backed off, sky became clear, and high temp was 102F, feels like 111F. Bike ride first thing, still had cold air in low spots when stating out, walk with wife, hand water several area that don't get enough water from irrigation system. Work on Peugeot, got handle bars on, brake cable and housing run, and chain on Volagi lubed and brakes adjusted. Alas no nap :(

good morning all.
I heard the a/c turn on and off, on and off all night, which would only mean the temps never dropped,
and they sure didn't, still 80 degrees out. But no whining when I read the Texas temps, yikes.
Bad weather due in after lunch today but should be out by 8pm.
And tomorrow, like it often is after storms, is supposed to be beautiful out and cooler.

Mostly, this article popped up today on colon cancer, and rectal cancer which finally took my wife down at age 55. Seems we need to start
screening for this at an earlier age. I wonder how much of this is diet related. My wife was a big meat eater and not so big on veggies.
Taught me a big lesson...more granola and less red meat.

Time for coffee, woke up with headache and funny how a little coffee seems to help. Then today is clean the rv inside day, wash the floors, good job while it's raining out.
First I'm going out for a walk in the muggy morning.
Hope you all have a nice weekend.

70 high of 80 today rain should be out of here by 1:00 PM

Prayers for all

Good morning all. No rain in the last 12 hours and none expected all weekend :dance1:

LS, you sure know how to make us mortals look bad, both irrigation line AND welding cart in one day !

RNG, for home use there is very little that you can't do with a 2 channel scope storage scope. Is there any particular reason you were thinking of going 4 channel ? It will limit your choice and cost more for something you may never really need.

Not quite as prestigious as Tektronix, Siglent/Voltcraft/Rigol offer stunning value scopes with built in displays. Usually you can dump the waveform onto a usb stick. My Voltcraft came with good quality probes, as Ken says they make a big difference and if you haven't used a scope for a while, don't forget to check/adjust 10x probes every time before use.

Picotech have been in the game for many years and offer a wide variety of models over a range of prices that use your own device for display. I have only used them in conjunction with a windows pc. The triggering was quite good on them and they also double up as data loggers, which may be what you are after.

59 going to 73 with off and on showers today.
My wood floor in the kitchen goes wall to wall with cabinets installed on top. I did it that way so we could reconfigure in the future if we wanted.
We just use generic soap saying good for wood floors on the bottle.
The tile install in the hallway was done by professional not me.

This project is to big for my arthritic wrist and knees so is being done by professionals.
They will be done in two to three days. My kitchen took me 3 weeks. LOL.

Under 40 Thomas days left.

55 and a nice steady rain right now...high in the low 70's and looks like rain on and off most of the day...along with possible thunderstorms.
No need for a dump run today and probably no outdoor work. I do have to pick up my truck from a local shop (was in for routine maintenance, as I'd posted a day or so back). After that, just kick back, I guess

I'm going in for an abdominal CT scan on Tuesday (01 Sept). My doctor is concerned about a 25-30 pound weight loss over the last couple months. I'm not trying to lose weight, but I've had little appetite since I had my teeth (all of them) pulled a few months ago...and, I just can't eat anything but soup with my dentures.
I've had other abdominal issues since my stroke in 1999...strokes don't just paralyze what one can see...there can be (and was in my case) internal paralysis as well...really screws up my digestion.

Have a great day, troops!!

good luck and prayers for a good outcome Roy. My abdominal CT is what found my adrenal lymphoma...
May both of us finally get to go out someday and have a fine prime rib dinner...
Just have to do it as a treat and not a norm.

First cup of coffee is cooling. 66° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 76° with partly cloudy skies. Got over 2" of rain yesterday. Another storm woke me about 1 am. But I was able to get back to sleep. Sassy got out of her bath. Went out with me while power washing a got soaked with rain water. Happy dog. Likes to be wiped down. Wash windows this morning. Then get started on painting fascia round house. Bought some Dutch Boy Maxbond paint that is supposed to not need to do any prep but paint. I have power washed, scraped and sanded.
CV number keep going up in Michigan. 111,136 cases. 6,712 deaths. Oakland County. 17,794 cases. 1,157 deaths. State wide 3 million test have been performed.
This mornings clouds.
