What veggies are you eating now?

When you were down the before covid19 potato crop was harvested 12 plants yielded 100 potatoes. The after Covid 30 plants will be ready to pull in 2 weeks. The after Covid tomatoes are 5 feet high and the tomatoes will be red next week, and the okra is up.

Still having a lot of black bean Mexican dishes and curry and homemade veggie burgers. My sour dough starter kind of works, taste good, rises, but the bread is still too dense-a work in progress. The Covid weekly desert has been carrot cake.
Low sodium V8 has been preventing leg cramps and dehydration during brush clean-up days.

Already up to 75 and supposed to climb to 91 and sunny.

Thought I'd go knapsack huntin' early, once the dew evaporated, but the breeze showed up at the same time...my wife says the poison ivy has a deal with the wind. I'm gonna keep a close eye on it and instead lop and pole saw some more...got a lot done yesterday before bush hogging for a couple of hours and then making a vet run for a Coco checkup. First time in town in a while and noticed gas jumped about 15 cents.

RNG, I always thought those warnings on Amazon were come-ons...yesterday when I looked at the genie, it said "hurry, only 4 left."
Rick, once I get mine and test it out successfully, I'll contact the seller to make sure you get your commish...if they don't, I'll send you a coffee bean assortment...better than cha ching. Nice looking Park.

Mostly, why vinegar on the sidewalk?

Ron, let those thistles go to seed and you'll be swarmed with goldfinches. But then you'll have to hire Eric to hunt and spray.

PJ, nice story of getting bikes and riding with your wife. Special.

Red, if any snow left after you drop it off at Kyle's, I'll put in an order. Montana is so beautiful year round.

77°F and light intermittent rain this morning, going up to 91° today. Cristobal has arrived, and will be dropping water on us most of the day. Suggestions are that some may get severe this afternoon and evening.

Thought about Thomas when the local weather guy was talking about the rains this morning on the radio. He started to say that it was circling around near Lebanon New Hamp... then corrected himself to Lebanon Missouri. Got a chuckle out of that, thinking "Hey, I know someone there!"

Too hot (91°) when I got home from work last night, so didn't take a bike ride as planned. Played around in the studio instead until 11pm.

Drew ... ouch. That's all I have to say about that.

We haven't gotten bike computers yet, mostly_. We did have them on the last bikes, and they're quite handy. We pretty much ride 99.44% on paved roads or paved trails. Madison County, where we both grew up, has converted a bunch of old railroad right-of-ways into trails that run literally all over the county. We used to do a lot of riding there, and plan to start doing it again.

Condolences to BEF and Randy on your losses.

It's not your vision going wonky, Eric. That down tube does indeed have a bit of a swoop to it. Here's a better side shot swiped from the inturwebs.
Giant Sedon Red.JPG
Interestingly, the Cannondale I tried had an odd angle on the top tube. Not sure if that's a functional trait, or just something to be a little different.
My Wife has been my riding buddy since we started dating back in '03. I definitely don't hate it.

Low sodium V8 has been preventing leg cramps and dehydration during brush clean-up days.

I've liked the old original V8 as long as I can remember. But I bought a case of the low sodium version once, and eventually drank the whole case of terrible tasting stuff trying to get used to it, because some folks say it's healthier. It may be, but I went back to the original.

84 degrees this morning going for 96. The yard definitely needed mowing, but I had planned to do that tomorrow since it's supposed to be cooler. However, this morning the south breeze was 16 to 29 mph, so no dew on the grass, so I got it mowed before 8:30 a.m.

71°F and only .01 inches water. Guess Zi better water garden this morning.

Off to Honokaa for wife’s preop appointment rescheduled from last week. Pretty sure wife will want to go to Waimea for DQ after.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

We have a micro brewery and a distiller there now, a lot has changed. The nut house burned down and was replaced, Ice cream shop is a popcorn place. But still kept up well.

nothing ever beat the burgers at the Pineville Tavern either, though now it's gone pretty upscale. Buttonwood is still there but not sure same exact location. Both places were great to go have a cold beer on a Friday night, I think Pineville tavern has same bar farmers have been settling down to forever. Of course almost no local farmers anymore. Soup and burger at Candlewyck in Buckingham also good, once they banned smoking. So smoky in there I didn't like it all all no matter how good the home cooking was. That was one ban I was all for.
Area is a nightmare to drive through on weekends, with rt 202 a parking lot to New Hope. You learn how to get in there by side roads.

I filled up this morning, and noted it's back above $2/gal here now. $2.09 in Troy IL.

My friends that live in Breese, IL posted about their trailer fee going up $100. Plus $.35 gas tax.
We are going to get a chance to recall our Governor in November. Just need 1 millions signatures on petition by September. I will guess it will only take a couple weeks to get them.

Wow, the low sodium to me taste like it still has too much salt. The low sodium has 200mg sodium with 60 calories per 11.5oz, The mg of sodium should not surpass the calories per serving. So, even the low sodium has 3+ times too much sodium.

Kyle some common sense still exist out there. Here is an editorial from International Journal of Disease Reversal and Prevention by a plant based doctor. Look him up, he is quite qualified. I even went to a lecture of his in Chicago.
"Many people are seeking a way forward to end the violence and its consequences.I propose that we legislate CPR and implicit bias training, and have these skills re-freshed on a regular basis.Know your airway. Know your mind. Save some lives.". View of Editor's Corner Prevention of Respiratory Failure in Urban America:

The bias training he references is from Project Implicit Bias and has been around since 1998. There are various training test that can be taken online.

Unfortunately correct. I went to renew a couple of plates about a month ago, and the lady told me I should wait on the trailer sticker, as there were rumors that would be going back down. It didn't happen, so I renewed it this past weekend. $118 for a one year renewal on our Rice utility trailer (3K lbs and under). Our gasoline tax was raised last July, which doubled from 19¢ to 38¢/gal.

It is often quite maddening to live in Illinois.

If it is $118 for a small trailer how much is your vehicle registration?

Rswyan, wife likes the Dr Scholls. She wears as a lift in her right shoe since her accident left her a bit lopsided. She says she likes as well as the way more expensive one we used to order. Her major complaint is having the left sole unused.

Drew, sure sounds like you are on the mend 🤙
Disheartening to read the buyer trying to take advantage. In my mind I was wondering if they had offered to ease the transition, guess not. I have to think this must be quite a logistical challenge.

You have regaled us over the years with much of your forward planning. When you start thinking about what’s next beyond your short apt stay, I hope you share with us.

Came to take a small measure of delight when my wife would complain about het PT/OT. A sign she was making progress.

The Cock & Bull was another great place to eat, pricey but good.

Still there too, would stop by for drinks here and there.
while the stores change a bit, the feel is pretty much the same. They were doing pretty well before covid so a lot of upgrades and fixes (including the now powered waterwheel)
Bakery moved out a while back as their site wasn't big enough or expandable.

Good afternoon,

Thanks to all for the welcome to Gm!!!!

28F at 0530hrs, 38F now and windy, high today about 42F and cloudy, 30% chance rain.

Moving a little slow after Walmart trip yesterday, but did notice not much traffic for mostly start to summer on the highway.

Snow is all gone except just above halfway up the mountains and storm is now heading eastward.

Normally around Memorial Day some folks here will snowmobile in the morning and water ski in the afternoon, oh how i remember being young and free of disability's.

lol, remember in 2017, wildfires to the west and east of us, evacuated 2 times and then in a blink of an eye, 10" of snow the first week of September and the fire camps left in a hurry, and were very cold...

Kalifornia, too.

$126 to renew the registration for a 90cc Honda trailbike, $339 for a twenty year old pickup truck!

But they have something like a permanent registration for trailers. You pay for it once, then not again. I think somebody screwed up on that one, but I'm not complaining.

We recalled the last governor that hoisted the gas tax, but Newsome got away with it somehow. There's even an extra special tax on #2 Diesel of $00.25/gallon because it's the Devil's own fuel. Cheaper than a new $50k truck, but I just don't understand why voters tolerate predatory taxes such as these, especially after they've been redirected to such wasteful projects as the Bullet Train to Nowhere.:irked:
