Good morning all.

The Blue Butterfly is a ornament. I did a Google search. Blue Butterflies can be found in the UK.
We see lots of blue butterflies - some even before I started using that marker dye in the backpack sprayer ;)

PJ, is it my eyes, or does your new down tube have a bend that will make it impossible for anyone to tell if you ever run into a brick wall ? :) Hope you have some great rides together, I am always envious of anyone who can get out with their wife on a bike.

I only managed to persuade my wife to ride a bike with me once. That was in Norway, the roads were very quiet so we hired a pair of bikes as an alternative to walking. After the first short tunnel she said "no likey" and that was that, for ever.

Drew, ouch. I'm sure the novelty of taking a leak at 90 degrees could initially be fascinating, but probably best not try that around corners until you are back in a more rural setting :D

BEF, sorry to hear of your loss.
Drew, that makes me cringe thinking about it

My wife’s 38 year old cousin died suddenly Sunday, they think it was a heart attack.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 56° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 89° with chance of thunderstorms in PM. Need to put a little more time into pond cleaning. After cleaning for a short time water is to cloudy to see where dirt is. No other plans except staying on the cool house.
Evening visitor was hiding behind thistle that needs chopping before it goes to seed.

Drew, not fun procedure. Prayers sent.

Buckeye, prayers for FIL's family and friends. May he RIP.

Randy, way too young to die. Prayers for family and friends.
Good news from MF dealer.

PJ, nice bikes.

Don, poor cat. I hope Sassy does not need that type of grooming. I have been combing/brushing her daily.

RNG, neat rainbow pic.

LS, another great video from son.

Everyone be safe and healthy.

Good Morning All.

Good morning all.
Dennis, so sorry for your loss and that of your family's, hard to see loved ones get to the end. All you can do is mourn and smile at memories. Often the stop in worrying is simply a good thing. Prayers for your wife and her happiness.

I'm hoping for a less dramatic day, see three hours of PT scheduled, never know what it is. Young PT guy is working with me to walk longer and longer distances. We got to 1600 feet yesterday, might see if we can hit 2000 today. I know this doesn't sound like much but for the walker/cane crowd it is. I used a cane yesterday because once I get out in the "real world", even though I can walk without out, using it keeps other pedestrians away, you get some room. The left foot and cane are synchronized, both go out together in a rythym that I try to keep smooth.

Today is big conference day with family, siblings are in on it but not me, a bit strange but fine. At best they will say you are out here on Friday, worst is we want to keep you until your next chemo more than a week in the future. Moving goalposts....I get my heart set on one and it just moves down the field. Allegedly I could do a patients's rights hissy fit but that never would end well. Just kinda stuck here realistically. Today is first day I have to deal with overrractive bladder, diapers, PT, long walks, somewhat apprehensive but have to deal with it head on. I'd much rather be out looking at my flower gardens, planted large areas and still haven't gotten to see much of it. Told my neighbors to please go take a bucket of water and cutters and cut flowers for themselves.

After getting beat up not once but twice by buyer trying to knock down final price, I'd rather have my helpful neighbors get the flowers. They have brought their three year old son over every day to pick blueberries, one of his favorite things. And their might be an early plum or something good to eat in orchard.

I'm amazed how much of my farm equipment has sold already, blades, rakes, mowers, finish mower. I took good care of it all and I think folks knew that. And I priced it at half to two thirds new. Hard to get mid level equipment in nice shape, kept under shed or tarp. Most of the big implements have gone. I think my neighbor snagged a bunch to outfit his new JD 5 series, it all fits. Big Massey will get hauled back to dealer with grapple and nice almost new Bush Hog rototiller, will be a nice looking consignment rig for his front yard. None of these small tractor dealers have the extra cash to just buy it outright, best I can do is have it sit on front lot of MF dealer.

Keep at it Drew always pulling for you!!!

Enjoy the day all.

66 outside this AM. Heading to lower 90's. Part of me says work on the porch, the other part says work on sitting in the pool. Got some critters that need trapping too. Tree guy came out, wife upped the job to seven big ones, with three take downs. Will see what that estimate looks like.

Condolences for toppop and BEF. Drew...get better...moving goal posts are a goal! It's a mental challenge to keep up with them.

Time to start the day.

Have a good day all. Be safe.

Good morning. It's 78° with 95% humidity and a slight SSE breeze. Our high is forecast to get to 97° this afternoon which is an improvement (?) over the 100° the weather guessers were predicting just 2-3 days ago.

I finished as much as possible with the 100 HP tractor in the 20 acre pasture (The Park) near the house yesterday. This is the pasture we've been improving and doing lots of tree trimming / yaupon clearing. We usually put spring calves on this pasture but, not this year so nothing, other than our deer, is eating the grass so much of it was nearly 2' high.

I spotted our third set of twin fawns yesterday. They're about a week old. The other two sets are about 4 weeks and just over 5 weeks old now.

I moved the 84" rear finish mowers around to the front of the shop yesterday so first order of business is to lift it up with the FEL and replace the 3 blades, check the belt and gear box oil, and grease the spindles, PTO shaft and gage wheels.

When it gets hot .. its way more fun, to mow the open areas of our 9 acre "yard", with the 55 HP tractor and RFM than the non A/C zero turn.

Hope everyone has a nice "Hump Day Eve" today.

Prayers to all.

Top and BEF - sorry for the losses ... :(

Good morning! 78˚F at sunrise and into the hundreds today topping out at 5PM. No hard work planned for today just watering and thinning the garden and get ready for the cedercide assault tomorrow.

BEF and Randy sorry for your losses.

Drew, according to your post (content, subject matter, punctuation) you are ready to leave, the fog has lifted.

Rick, that mowing looks like great fun and how nice it looks when you are done. You really have a lot of clearance issues, likely get the occasional wack of a tree limb on cab that makes you cringe. But oh to mow and "be out there" in filtered air and not sweating to death.

I always wanted the area outside my horse fencing to look like a field, meaning mowed higher, anything but more lawn. But we keep at it, make it nicer here and there, and soon it's a meadow or something finer than first thought. Your place is simply beautiful.

thanks Don, good minds think alike. Unfortunately they are not decision makers, way of the world. What veggies are you eating now?

Do you remember when the Buttonwood Inn was at Peddler's Village? Man, we had a lot of good times there throwing darts. Beautiful Bucks County... No place like it. :drink:

We have a micro brewery and a distiller there now, a lot has changed. The nut house burned down and was replaced, Ice cream shop is a popcorn place. But still kept up well.

Good Morning!!!! 58F @ 5:30AM. Sunny. High 92F. Winds SW at 5 to 10 mph.

It's good to see you almost back to your old self, at least posting wise, Drew. It must take a very special person to want to be a urologist. I've experienced unspeakable treatments at their hands, and lived to tell the tale. You will, too. Hope those nerve pathways regenerate straight and true, and soon. Just keep rolling with the punches, and keep doing whatever it takes to get the heck out of there!

Wish the deer would earn their keep by eating the weeds, but no, they like the flowers and landscaping instead, eh Ron?

:welcome: MF Red. Is spring late in Montana?

To support the cause, Rick, I ordered a Radiator Genie early yesterday AM on Amazon, but when I went to add something else to the order, the RG was in the "save for later" basket, with a note saying it was no longer in stock. You guys beat me to it!

Woke up to no water pressure yesterday morning, but couldn't find anything wrong in the pump house. The Square D pressure switches are notorious for sticking, and I think this'll be the fourth one I've replaced in ten years. One more for the todo list.

Turned a spacer for a neighbor's jet ski trailer yesterday, and sent him home with all the aluminum wire that I pulled out of the trench. He'll use it to help out a fellow fire survivor that is down on their luck when he installs a new power pole for them.

The valves (I think some call them spools) arrived for the top'n'tilt yesterday, holy mackeral, that box was HEAVY! Sixty or Seventy parts in the box, and it looks like I might be missing some o-rings. Got through step one OK, bolting the valve bodies together. But step two was adding a T to the port forward fitting, one that I haven't installed yet. So got those parts out and will do that first. Tried to install steel tubes on loader arms, but it looks like the hydraulic cylinder has to come off first, so decided to have dinner instead. That's where I'll start this morning...

Thanks Drew. It was nothing but goat weed, thistle, and yaupon when we bought this ranch in 2006.

Keep up your improvement my friend. We're all pulling / praying for you.

63 going up to 90... Sunny

BEF - my condolences on FIL

Drew-sounds painful, but now in the past. Good to hear your getting around so well and working to get back to outside life

Doe, me and dog hung out today. She just watches us as we walk by, she on one side of driveway, dog and I on other side, so maybe 8 feet.

Split a 36" round today, working so much better than the 8 pound maul :)

Snake was a common Garter, just full grown, still maybe 1.5 feet long, they don;t get very big.

71F and supposedly "mostly cloudy" @ 09:00 ... (but the sun is streaming in the through the window ...)

High for the day: around 90F ... :(

Finished cleaning shop vac filter last night, along with clearing and cleaning some shelves and moving some f-channel onto them. Cleaned the grinding dust off a couple of load bars earlier in the day and got those moved back out to the van.

The county's Household Hazardous Waste Disposal opened up for the year this past Thursday and will be open through September 24th. Looking forward to making a run there and getting rid of all the bad 8' fluorescent bulbs ... along with a few of containers of mystery juice/goo ...

Was going to order a new set of insoles for the old work boots, but Ariat seems to be out of the Cobalt VX's ... possibly due to COVID-19 and supply line issues ... :confused3:

Might have to try a pair of cheap Dr. Scholl's ... although I expect that will be a waste of money.

Trip to TSC today to pick up the work boots I got them to hold and the welding helmet. Also expecting some new welding gloves, a beanie, and a new striker for the torch from Amazon.
