Good morning all. It was foul last night, lots of rain followed by sleet and these almost never ending high winds. Quite a relief to discover the lambs out in the field were all fine this morning.

A pair of swans have been hanging out on the big pond for most of this year. They have been very easy going, almost oblivious to whatever happens around them. Now one of them has suddenly become very territorial, chasing away any geese that dare to come within 100 yards. It will be interesting to see if they show any signs of nest building.

The wife was the salesman dream customer. She equipped it out with all new attachments, and finished it off with the Kubota extras for operator comfort and safety.

Salesman only had dream customer - you got the dream wife Rip.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 36ー with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 52ー with overcast skies. Good day yesterday with my aunt. Such a vibrant 91 year old lady. She tried to drag me out into the cold and work on cleanup of the yard yesterday. Talked her into making Ribs in IP instead. Was very good. Hope I can be as active when I am over 90. May get out and do some of the yard cleanup today.

Finally got a picture at feeders with Downy and Hairy Woodpeckers at same time. Downy would not turn and show how short it's beak is.

Riptide, very nice tractor. Does it have GPS, internet, video and surround sound.

Drew, glad to here you are feeling better. Place up for sale next month. We do have to do what is best for ourselves.

Roy, good luck.

Buppies, where do you haul all the cuttings?

Looking, next time you think about it. You will be there 50 years. We went into 4 house in 10 years. Never thought I would be in same one 48 years later.

Bird, may be easier to just run a garden hose to shop ice maker. :drink:

Jay, maybe talk wife into used camera stuff. Lots of good deals with people switching over to mirrorless. I like Canon. Because there are lots of good lenses and accessories available.

Buckeye, I still wonder what all these people did before Covid-19 showed up.

Prayers and best wishes to everyone.

Good Morning All.

Thanks Eric.

Nice picture in my head that you painted with your swans and the big pond.

With all that is going on, you have to sit back and take in Mother Natures calming effect.

And yes, living the dream I am. I step into the house yesterday and get grabbed to take a photo op with our new Kubota hats.

Some is more excited than I. LOL.

49 and cloudy going to 68 today.

Rip, that's a great looking tractor...I like the hooks on the QA bucket.

Rick (the Cedarman)...take a look at the row of cedars in Rip's tractor photo...makes you kind of drool, huh? :)

Buppies, your plan is sounding good...especially the shooting range.

I did the lube job on the Zero turn yesterday...then needed to take it for a spin to work the lube in :)...ended up mowing for 45 minutes...sure felt good.

Then I took all the rocks off the landscape cloth and took it off the garden and did the first till.

Sharpened my chainsaw and got my splitter ready for travel and hitched it up. It is kept under a pull through shelter, but the hitch was facing the wrong way...facing a half full pallet of firewood. Decided rather than move the pallet, which meant taking the tiller off, and putting the carry all on, I'd just spin the splitter in place...my back is still mad at me for that task...turning a heavy spitter in soft wood chips and bark, even after raking some away was no fun...but better than packing dirt, eh, RNG?

Realtors came for a chat, told me to raise price 25k. Ok. Looks like early April for showtime.

April's coming quick, Drew. Can you share your plan for where you'll be moving to, and how many tractors you'll be taking along with you?

...

LOL. The sound system is amazing. I would have thought a radio on a tractor was a non-starter. But it is actually nicely done.

Since it has a Bluetooth hookup, and a phone slot, the answers are Yes, yes, yes and yes.

LOL.

Good to see you still in the game!

Gosh, Ron, tell her she looks better than most sixty-five year olds I know! No wonder you're having trouble keeping up with her.

Hey wngsprd, glad you are doing well.

I forgot about the hooks while at the dealer when we were talking. Forgot to ask. I kicked myself in the butt a few times while we were waiting for it.

When it showed up, I see the hooks and was just like - wow. I asked and the sales guy said "Well you said you did a lot of wood". I just smiled and thanked him.

He was spot on about everything. I was very impressed. The wife too, about how it all turned out. We looked for over two months, at five different dealers.

Take it easy on yourself and that big oak. Be safe.

Nice tractor, Rip! That dealer knows what's good for him throwing a hat into the deal. Two of 'em! Feel free to post that photo...

Breakfast with the guys then I’m going to check out my new job. I’m skeptical but we will see.
Have a good day. Prayers for all.

Uh, no. Taking implements on and off the tractor is a royal PITA, but I think I've gotten to the point where I'd choose to do that rather than further wreak my back (he sez after moving 1200 pounds of concrete by hand yesterday:confused2:). But you can bet the forks will play a prominent role in this year's firewood splitting and palletizing activities.

Be careful with that big oak today, Wng. And take some pichers for us, OK?

Good Morning!!!! 51F @ 5:00AM. Abundant sunshine. High 81F. Winds NNW at 10 to 15 mph.
Wow! The ten-day forecast shows rain coming in Saturday, with more falling every day through the next weekend. Looks like I'll finally get a chance to clear away some of the inside job backlog.

Rifle range, Buppies? You've got my attention!

Beautiful, calm morning yesterday, so I was out early practicing my "O"s and figure eights with the drone. Hadn't done any figure eights before that, and they're very good for forcing you into the viewpoint of the drone if you're going to keep left sorted from right. Going slow helps a lot, and there's a Cinema mode that really slows down the control response that helps, too. And it's really nice that the drone will do what's needed to hold a constant altitude, all by itself. Also got the still shots taken of the trenches, something I'd forgotten to do in all the excitement of the previous flights. And I'm still excited enough that I forgot to take any video this time around, or mark time to see how long the battery lasts.:confused2:

I did remember to make a call to arrange a gravel delivery; I think I have 40 cu. yd. showing up at 8:30 this morning. We'll see.

propanePads.jpg
Finished up the forms, got the rebar cut and tied, and poured both pads for the propane tank yesterday. First time in a loooooong time I've done anything like that, and I couldn't find my edging tool. Sort of made do forming a little bevel with a trowel, but I don't think anyone will notice. Bought 20 bags for the job and only used 17, and wasn't too tired afterwards, even though it was the end of the day. Looking at that picture, if I'd have filled up the space between the two pads, and done that four times, I'd have the generator pad done. So now I'm giving some thought to using bagged concrete instead of self hauled ready mix for the generator pad. Depends on cost at this point.

Yesterday's video on CoVid-19 made it sound like pretty much everyone is going to get it. Since it can last so long outside the body, and has such a long incubation time, once it gets into the postal service, the mail person will be infecting everyone on his/her route. I've steamed envelopes before to open them, but not to sterilize them. I wonder if you can still buy steam machines, or if, like toilet paper, they're sold out everywhere?:confused2: But maybe I don't need one: The fancy drier I bought ten years ago has a steam cycle! And the mail will come out wrinkle free.

Hang in there, gang, Friday's comin'!

   / Good morning!!!! #108,077
Good morning! After hitting 85˚F yesterday this morning's 66˚F is cool but heading to the mid 80s again. Like Bird in a day went from heat to AC, what happened to Spring - I guess it was lost like the hour we lost last weekend. Warm South winds for another week predicted.

Garden today, to check up on the green tractor, then trail blazers Friday. Time to pull out the broccoli, its all flowers now. The bees have like it for the last week. potatoes have been in the ground for a week and I am still waiting for them to sprout up.

Rip nice tractor, I think the cab was a good idea. the heat never bother me but the dust, just too much dust. Hope ya'll can share the seat time fairly.
Drew, up 25K sweet.

There are rumors and rumors of rumors of two Dell employees who came to the Austin area and one visited the Dell plant here. They were from India and now one has come down with CV19. There are conflicting reports on which one visited the area. And so it goes . . . .

RNG, just get a flat rock and rub the top edges to knock down the pointy edge.

They've been quarantining hundreds of China evacuees and cruise ship passengers at Travis AFB, at the north end of the San Francisco Bay Area, for weeks now, Don. And in the nearby town of Fairfield, there have been new CoVid-19 cases. They say they don't know the cause, but it's not hard to put two and two together. It's one of the reasons I decided to cancel the motorcycle event; most of the attendees live in the Bay Area. So far, this county has no cases, yet.:crossfingers:
