Buckeye, gabapentin/neurontin? One of the few things they can give you for nerve pain that doesn't seem to
have downsides the more you take. Other than falling asleep.

guest left, finally, hours late, sigh, now grill is on to make some burgers for dinner.

Yep, that’s the one.

They are classified as neuroleptics and are really well known meds. They are pretty mild compared to some other neuroleptics and they work for most. They do have side effects. Unfortunately for me they messed with my balance, fine eye-hand motor coordination, mental status especially concentration and abstract thinking, and nervous system. I am a rarity. There are stronger neuroleptics avoid them if possible.

BEF your inclusion of the UFO is pure genius. It ties everything together in a cosmic way.

It’s ok everyone. BEF did not add the UFO because of some weird drug induced side effect. It’s a ceiling canister light reflecting on the glass in front of the framed poster.

Yes that would be you with the embers starting only small controllable fires because of your vegetation control and noncombustible roof and sprinkler system, you did not even need to break out the green firetruck. But if we had someone who could paint the firetruck in the pic green . . . .:cool2:

Did you notice the vegetation and brush in the yard of your neighbor, and if you look real close you can see him playing golf in the flames in the house.View attachment 622854

Got the truck painted, brought out the retardant being dropped by the plane, andt the lawn should be brown because it's decomposed granite if that were here, and all the vegetation in the yard is black because it's already been burned. Deer are smart enough to run from the flames (maybe the ones in the neighbor's yard are plastic?), but the neighbor's not playing golf. He's fiddling, you know, like Nero.:laughing::laughing:

And here I was setting up an exhibit with MASS MoCA | Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. An opportunity lost. All we had to do is walk around looking grooved out (facial hair helps), wearing a beret talking "artsy" BS, and watch the magic begin. I really think flip flops and Birkenstocks with socks now due to Season (for some) would be a nice touch.

I have to go there sometimes  I could use a lifeline.

Weird, but nice looking eye candy there ;)

Really decent restaurants within walking distance.

You need to post to make it to 4K. Stop looking at eye candy.

BEF- We should hook up and introduce ourselves, the "little green men," and the "bubble people." An epic convention in the making.

I already know the correct answers to get myself in and/or out of a "little psych visit" if needed PM me.;)..... No charge

RonJH- The grooved out artists are part of the attraction.

Dealer I bought my ranger from had a couple stolen a couple weeks ago. They posted camera pics of thief on FB. Today they said he was caught based on the pics.

Good evening all. 78F for the start, mostly clear sky, and near calm winds. Clouds built up o mostly cloudy, wind got brisk out of the south brisk with strong gusts, high temp 91F hi98. Went to Bonham for gravel ride, had to nav issues, added 3 miles to total, several stretches of road were not well graded, and could only ride slowly through those places. Ended up 53.3 miles. 11 mph, 3600cal burned. Quick shower and nap before taking wife out to dinner.
Phil big day. nice outcome on the wall.
Billy nice you got the dryer fixed with only one additional tear down.
Ron glad you got tree house done in spite of rain.
Roy is lower jaw doing ok?
RNG sounds like red bike is coming along nicely.
Drew really depends on what you do. When I was working tool designer got really nice computers, when the got upgrade about every 3 years, the old units were given to others with less performance demands.
Jay sorry this is taking so long to heal, good luck with a return to better sleeping and no Prednisone.
Don, interesting pic, nice contrast in fire prevention vs no fire prevention.
you guys are having far too much fun with the fire prevention pic :D
prayers for all

Good morning all. Water is standing in all the low ground this morning after a night of heavy rain. Most of the leaves are still green and well glued to the branches, though many trees are dropping their autumn fruits. There are carpets of crab apples and spikey sweet chestnut cases that would make a tempting target for a young boy with an air rifle - maybe also for a much older one who hasn't yet grown up, if only the rain would take a rest.

Great job on the dryer repair Wng  Your talents are in demand if you fancy working away from home for a while, a huge recall has just started in this country on upwards of half a million Whirlpool tumble dryers, sold here under 5 different brand names. The way the design allows fluff to get trapped inside has been causing fires for the last 4 years and only now are they seriously hunting them down.

70 going to 86.

Toppop, enjoy your house search over on the island...should be a beautiful day.

Jay, nice job on your peaches...looks like your bear fell down on the job of raiding all your outdoor food.

Don, congrats,..Ranger, right? I'm seeing a lot of them on the road now. We need pix.

DABSGT, you've been quite busy...beautiful view.

Eric, I'm only "certified" on Samsung dryers, but I'll try to study up on Whirlpool...cool poster.

BEF, RIBS!

Mostly, your biking still amazes me.

Had a striped skunk in the yard Friday night...found plenty of their digging holes. Caught it on my front yard "bear cam." So I had to walk Coco on a leash this morning...real foggy, but didn't see any amber eyes on the ground.

Randy, have fun today. If you rent a place for the summer, I see there's a rv KOA right on the Island, never been there,
never knew the island was so developed. They even have a McDonald's...
Terrain looks wonderful, surrounded by water. But I wonder if that whole island will be submerged some day, looks really low there.
Looks quiet there too, really off the beaten path.
Time to do a little fishing.

53F upper 60's for high more clouds than sun today.

Outside chores done E muffin time. :licking:
Feels kinda strange no trimming or mowing needs to be done this weekend. :confused2:
Plans for today...quick trip to town for gas, bring back pack blower from hibernation give it good test run, maybe watch some NASCAR football, some bbq grilling.

Enjoy the day all.

so this is what happened to my apples and pears....
I think it's a flock of very large black birds, bigger than starlings, came through and just took everything.

now I don't know if they found truck tire prints, etc on this caper but 50,000 birds is a lot of birds if each takes one apple.
Thieves steal 5, apples from an Indiana orchard - CNN

Mine were gone in a three day period. Took a lot of hands/feet/claws to do that.
What else but birds? Simply aren't that many squirrels here.

We are actually looking at buying a 34’ 2019 travel trailer that is currently in a KOA.

Need to pour a second cup of coffee. 51° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 62° with more rain in the PM. Got all the tools cleaned and put away yesterday. Need to repair mailbox this morning before rain. Door is ready to fall off. May as well as plan some inside projects today. Maybe some NASCAR. Try using the InstaPot.

Jay, do we need to send out a search party for you. Or did the eye candy get you detoured from the 4K postings.

Don, good posting on the Firewise poster. Glad we do not need to deal with fires like you and others can get caught up in. I still remember Jim taking us around the fire that hit near his place in Sunset. Came a lot closer than he thought.

Buckeye, I was going to do ribs on the smoker today. But rain in forecast is going to change those plans.

Thomas, how many more days,?

Randy, house searching on a island. Hope you find the perfect one.

Wngsprd, been seeing Pepe Lapew on my cameras also. Sassy has been on leash for a week now. Muffin only goes out about 5' into lawn and then back to door.

Payers for all.

Good Morning All.
