I got the load of mulch for around house. Got home and put trailer away in barn. Spreading mulch is for another day. Was going to work on putting weed killer down. But winds have been blowing at 20 mph all day. So came in and been doing some energy conservation.

69F raining thru most of the night.

Both garden spots are planted and fence...whew,and the blackflies show no mercy.
4 Jake turkeys were more than interested had threaten them more than once.
Kicking back in recliner and kitten laying in my arm which only means one thing,she'll be tearing around later today.

I drove right thru a tornado warning area. They were warning drivers to take cover. Right, like where do you go when your stuck in traffic, it's raining so hard you can't see, and your moving 5mph. Thought a tree top was going to hit the car once. Storm moved fast, was over in less than 15 min.

We got those storms as well, short but intense. Some limbs down and a lot of water in a hurry.

BEF- I am glad that you are posting. Road travel in your conditions can/does lead to unexpected interactions with fellow road travelers not as road/condition savvy or even less than competent on a sunny day.

The last place I want to be in getting close and personal with a tornado on the ground would be in my car/truck or under them. I'd avoid overpasses too.

Glad you're alright. Often the cellphones quit working when thousands of stranded motorists overload the system.

We had a short, intense storm this morning, was really humid rest of the day. Has become very comfortable in the last 2 hours, humidity dropped.

The last time I was in a tornado I was in a company car. I pulled over into a store’s parking lot and my car started shaking like crazy and then the windows on one side started shattering, the little tornado was stripping all the gravel off the tar and gravel roof and pelting me. I closed my eyes and after it passed shook off all the shattered glass. When I took the car to the company shop they thought I had been in a shoot out.

Don’t park by a flat roof building during a tornado.

The HOA finally got smart and realized the wild hiking trails are supposed to contain wildlife and put up these signs.

Dont know if there was an actual tornado, but they gave the warning based on the radar signature. I left work early to miss it, but the storm moved in real fast.

It was 77°F this morning and partly cloudy. Forecast said 87°F but high was 90°F. We had a few 5 minute showers that didn’t amount to much.

My bride surprised me by showing up a day early, for the Holiday Weekend, this morning.

I spent the majority of my day chopping up wild flowers, now that the deer seem to be done giving birth. Only saw two fawns in the pasture, I was clearing, and both took off at full speed as I approached.
