Perspective is an often under rated or under utilized term. There are so many forms of it. Eye level, below/underneath, 10' over a situation, 10,000' over it, all the way to global perspective. Figuring which perspective to apply is half the problem. Keeping things in perspective can help one's daily life style.

Well put, Kyle. So many folks have no perspective at all; they're totally reactive to whatever situation they find themselves in, and it's always the most important thing on their mind at the time. Is a phone call to your mom really more important than evacuating your house from an approaching wildfire? Is a broken TV really more important than not being able to pay the rent? It seems as though whatever problem(s) you have, they're the most important ones in your life, but most times the problems we have really aren't that big compared to not being able to feed, clothe, or house yourself. I'm glad I've had those last three problems in the past, because they helped make me aware of perspective, and it's a great coping tool.

I realize I'm preaching to the choir, but maybe you know somebody that would benefit from learning about perspective?

Anyway for you to rig a temperature controlled fan in your greenhouse?

that's a good idea but no power in greenhouse. Solar powered would sure work, plus I need it the most when sun
is at its peak.
This is a greenhouse kit with proprietary design and ultra thin polycarb siding, not sure how cutting big holes in that would do.
If I fabbed up a mounting frame, the answer would be sure, and a good idea.

…. I was sent back.. The reason ?? I don't know. …. It's hard to change our 'attitude' towards certain things, but usually those attitudes are what cause us trouble to begin with. Take care...enjoy life... That's what matters! - Ted. I agree. It was not your time. I am glad that you returned. Your mission here is not finished whatever it is and/or may become.

… Figuring which perspective to apply is half the problem. Keeping things in perspective can help one's daily life style…- Kyle. Nicely posted. Perception is reality.

I too had the “White Light” experience when my autoimmune system shut everything down arriving at the ER. It was a long 3 weeks in ICU/CCU. It changed my life. A lot of my personal demons died that day; fortunately I did not. I struggled with this experience for a long time before I could share it with others. I was conflicted between my “head” telling me that I was only anoxic and my heart telling me it was spiritual. The heart won out. I too question why.

Randy- What awesome finds. Thanks for sharing,. Knowing that others lived and died in a certain place really puts life in perspective. The stone walls that surround this place have a special meaning of an other time.

... I realize I'm preaching to the choir, but maybe you know somebody that would benefit from learning about perspective?- RNG. To know "needing" helps one to appreciate "having." People can not change perspectives until they are "ready," and some never get there being locked in fear afraid of change.

Drew, maybe check with the green house manufacture. Maybe they have a kit. Even if too expensive it could provide insight, especially if you could get hold of the install instructions.

Many of us have had life/death experiences that shape our overall outlook- give us the proper perspective. It happened to my wife and I 10 years ago and solidified our desire to retire early. We both walked away 10 months ago and couldn’t be happier with our decisions.

I enjoy working 6 months of the year and have absolutely no intentions of ever retiring. After my license gets taken away (failing the written test, or the eye test, or the annual medical) I will find something else to do within the company.

Good evening all. 32F for the start, overcast, calm winds light fog. Wind stayed light, fog hung around, and high temp was 40F. Slow start, planned bike ride cancelled due to lack of warming. Wife did find some Nystatin suspension, so we rounded up the prescription and headed to the pharmacy, got to do some BBQ while waiting for it to be filled :licking: Also fire duty on the wood stove today.
RNG sorry to hear about your friends.
Wife had colon cancer in 2010. Prep nurse was daughter of next door neighbor, wasn't even supposed to be working the day of the surgery. I had retired the year before, so was able to be there for her. She did have a reaction to one of the chemo components, that was the scariest part.
MMMMMM, tractor bachelor party, just don't do it 3 rd week of June :D
prayers for all.

35 tonight. Made it to 41 today. Was 28 this morning with about 3 inches of snow on the ground. 15 miles away they had an inch or less.

Went to a birthday party for a cousins kid. Then back to walk birds. Then spent a few hours watching movies on Netflix with wife. Now headed out for final checks and feedings.

Birds leave this week. Still have taxes to finish.

Rng. Sorry to hear about your friends.

Randy. Congratulations.

Randy, congrats. You certainly sound happy.

Another blah day here, helped the wife out a bit, walked the dogs. Saw a bunch of deer. We have so many that having a garden is difficult. Fruit trees need a lot of protection. The deer wil kill young trees.

Like The Don said, the weather is much cooler, clammy, and a bit windy. Have some indoor chores to do.

Not a good day for seat time. Temp dropped to 38F before I got out of the house it was windy and very overcast. I was just about to go home from the gardens when a lady requested some mulch, I was cold already and starting up the tractor for 1 FEL of mulch was hardly worth it, but then she said she needed 60 wheel barrels full for our pocket parks in the gardens - I quickly figured 3 hours seat time and said: "i'll get right on it Ma'am". While out, 3 others also needed tractor work - I froze my ___ off but still smiling.

Today I also joined the wood working club and they will teach me how to operate all of the machines and my wife is giving me a whole year to build her a custom desk. They are a little behind on the orientation classes because of high demand so I'll really get started in about two weeks. The club also provides a mentor for your first project.
