Getting glass water 12:45am this morning notice the deer must have call meeting,5 at feeder 4 walking up driveway 3 standing by pickup...wonder what I did now.
After work depends what storm mess was left and its date night.
Nice have day light least to 5:30pm,looking forward turn clocks ahead soon.
E muffin feed little critters slow roll to work.

I feel like I have been deceived this morning, but in the nicest possible way.

Nature is trying it's hardest to convince me that spring is here with warmer temperatures, grass growing again and birds singing their hearts out. A severe bend in the jet stream is responsible, I am only too happy to play along with the deception for a few more days.

At the gardens we have this table on the porch of the tractor shed and it is called the give-a-way or sharing table. Yesterday I put my excess cut and harden potatoes on it and took off a bunch of onions to plant that was someone's excess. Nice system they/we have.

Good morning!! The hottest day of the year! 60 ˚F heading up to 88 ˚F, slight west wind, partly cloudy. But after today the temps drop down to the normal 40-50 lows and-50-60 highs.
Going to check on Mom and bring her supplies from town. I wish she would get a little garden house in the neighborhood, I sure could keep her occupied, but she likes to look out her window.

Bringing in a flat of 32 California giant zinnias to give away.
So even if my presentation is a bore, they get to take something home....

We also have a seed exchange and I always bring in leftovers for that.

Need to pour second cup of coffee. 30ｰ with cloudy skies and wind. Heading to 22ｰ with clouds and wind. We had our high for the day at midnight 42ｰ. Had some sun yesterday. Thermometers were showing 51ｰ. :thumbsup: Never made it to shop yesterday. Back on the list today.

Drew, best wishes for a good presentation. Have someone record it. I need some new birdhouses.

Rich, glad root canal warranty went well. Having 360 hours of sick time is a good thing. Never sick.

Don, nice shop. Do you have any plans to make something?

LS, hope they find what is causing your knee problems.

Don, nice shop. Do you have any plans to make something?

I thinking of dropping the pickle ball club and joining the Wood Workers Club. My wife has some specialty pieces of furniture she is trying to find. She can describe it and draw it but can't find it. (a desk that has an underneath pullout for her piano keyboard) I'm thinking, I can build that. The shop also teaches how to use each machine which I would need.

The next-door neighbor built some cabinets for his garage at the shop and they are good enough to put in a kitchen, with raise/recessed panels and grooved connectors (?). I would describe them to you but I need to learn the detailed terminology first.

The weather is so nice now and I'm enjoying the outdoor clubs but in June/July/August the AC Wood Shop would be the place to be.

56 outside this AM. Low 60's today. Grey day, lots of wet weather moving in, looks like for the next ten days.

Don't know about the rest of you, but, I don't recall seeing this much water in my lifetime. My fields still have standing water in them from the last few rounds.

Horse still not OK. Looks like impacted bowels. Colic, attributed to weather and hay mixtures I guess. Big vet bills, again.

This is a quote from a post I wrote in another thread:

"I was hitting my neighbor's drive with the snow blower and BANG! Well, I figured it was a shear pin...and, probably is. There was an old entryway rug (the thick kind) under the snow....now it's entangled in the auger and fan. I can see what I'll be doing this weekend.
The Frontier snow blower has, IIRC, two shear pins...one is on the PTO shaft and I think the other one is on the auger drive shaft. I'll look it up in the manual later.
Not sure how I'm going to get that rug out...but it surely ain't gonna be in one piece "

A city blower almost ingested a manhole cover but fortunately the operator was sharp and he made the crews locate the missing cover B4 proceeding.

I once demolished a 4 ft blower as I ingested a hidden starter when cutting back snow banks. Blew the gear box wide open and trashed 1/2 the auger also bending the auger shaft.
Another friend mistook a buried pile of fire wood for snow and that cost him a new auger.

It looks like 27° will be the low this morning. Yesterday was overcast and in the mid 40's with some wind. We didn't get any of the snow that was predicted over the last two day's. They are saying that today will be partly cloudy with a high in the upper 30's and windy. With a 80% chance of snow overnight. I'll see if they get it right this time.

Just looked at the road report and I-80 is still closed most the way a cross Wyo. it says it will be another 10-12 hours before they have it open. It's been closed for over a day and a half.

Might go out and organize some things in the garage. And hopefully find them the next time I need them.

23°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 25° today. Snow is supposed to arrive sometime around noon-ish. 1-2" is the new forecast ... for now.

Wife made some chicken fajitas last night that were delicious. We exchanged Valentine's Day cards before I left for work yesterday morning. I'd ordered some chocolate dipped strawberries from Shari's Berries, which were supposed to be delivered on Wednesday. They were not. They did not arrive yesterday either, and I've gotten no email notification that they were ever sent out for delivery. Having paid extra to guarantee delivery on a specific day has me annoyed. Guess I need to call them today and cancel the order. They dropped the ball big-time. Wife asked me to go out last night and get her a chocolate cake instead. Walmart was about the only option at 8pm, and the Hershey's triple chocolate cake was a winner.

That is a seriously nice-looking woodshop, Don.

31 degrees this morning with snow expected later today/tonight.

I have a neighbor threatening to call so we can go ride our sleds today. I am looking very forward to it. Thats how big my grin will be.
