Got up to 42 today pleasant to work outside but running out of asphalt plants so the end may be near some calling for or ice this weeken will take what comes and be happy. Tractor still in shop no way to move the white stuff sad

LS, the pull down attic stairs was a one man job. Just follow instructions except where it says to have another person in the attic, if you don’t have z second person.
Just trim and paint to finish.

Down to 21 at 9:45, gonna get cold, might get in the teens if the clouds don稚 move in soon, looks like 4-5 inches of snow starting tomorrow night, more if we are not lucky, less if we are.

Better than expected day
While taking a quick break about 10AM, I get a call from George, my concrete guy, He’s on his way up. Yeaaaa. He was surprised to see my forms and I was gratified that they basically used them with just some minor tweaking as they pinned them. Monday morning, wire mesh and rebar get delivered. Should be ready for pour by quitting time Monday, but will have to wait our turn on schedule, likely week of 1/21.

Good evening all. 43F for the low, overcast, light wind, trace in the rain gauge. rain mostly in the afternoon, radar estimates about .2 in of rain, high temp 46F. Worked on consulting for 2 hours this morning, need to get billing up to date. Changed over to gravel bike for tomorrow's ride, did not get flat fixed on volagi yet. Dog is back to the stepdaughter, we get the weekend off.
PJ hope you get home inspite of the snow storm in STL.
Don hope you get to talk to the tractor gatekeeper. Nice job on the stairs.:thumbsup:

No ice fishing here and no urgency to light the woodburner either, though not quite as warm as where you are off to Rich. Either thermometer is stuck, or temperature very even as both night and day are showing 8C/46F.

29 high of 33 today snow sleet tonight and tomorrow maybe some freezing rain too 3 to 7 inches hopefully we can pick up tractor before it starts

Poured second cup of coffee. 26° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 31° with cloudy skies. No snow here. The storm is staying just below Michigan state line.Finally got motion light working. Turns out the main 220 feed to animal barn only has one leg working. Moved the feed to motion light to working leg. That puts another item on my To Do list when it warms up. Son, grandson and I are going to the local fishing show today. That should get me enough exercise today.

Those PT ladys are tough on Fridays. But my arm feels better today.
Got good new yesterday. Urologist called to tell me that Sundays MRI shows no C. :thumbsup:

Don, you may need to contact key holder the old fashion way. Go knock on his door with a dish of fresh baked cookies or some Shiners.

Good morning! 53 ˚F old getting to 58 ˚F north wind no rain.
Been up for a while reading the operators manual for the JD 3032E - the elusive tractor. But today I must cut a tree at Mom's and get her some groceries so no seat time and still no contact from the ex-pres, the tractor's daddy. I might have to take Ron's suggestion but I suspect he is out of town. Elderland has several sponsored vacations all over the world at any one time. Through detective work I . . . well let's just say I don't need the key holder to drive the tractor, I'm just doing it as a courtesy. Eric I would not place any bets over a week before the tractor get's a new daddy.

4-7 inches predicted for central and Northern VA and Southern MD. About an inch of rain here.

Got 250 gallons of farm diesel delivered for 2.05; was hoping price had dropped more. Checked oil on big gen, clean and full as usual. Propane tank full. I'm ready.

MF dealer coming Monday to take my new tractor back. They are going to install a rear camera on it, plus a hydraulic top link, plus test the steering which I think is jerky. When I get it back I'll be all ready to start rototilling.

Going to clean out the garden shed today, run a shop vac in there, current heating system only kept it at 45 in there last night when temps dropped to 25 out. At least I kept plants from freezing.

David/Sodamo, you are a man on a mission, a one man construction brigade. Are you drinking stronger coffee or something?

Looking at weather a week out here, next weekend, shows a big storm which at the tail end on Monday morning
may turn to snow or ice. Gosh, snow during rush hour around here is beyond nuts. I might as well park out at the end of the lane and watch
them go into the ditch... My first winter here I went downtown and on the way saw three cars in the ditch. After a one inch snow fall.
At least they don't usually hurt anything but the cars or trucks.

My electric snowblower I ordered almost two weeks ago is lost in the system. I think someone in the snow belt took it home...
if it doesn't come today I have to cancel and start over. First they said it was delivered to me last Wednesday, they they said it was still out with Fedex. They have no idea but they won't like my Amazon rating if it doesn't show up today.
