If it is only sprinkling then I will get the trailer loaded up for the dump run tomorrow.

Well, I think the ortho appt went pretty well. He disagreed with Primary, saying hip joint itself looked pretty good, nothing abnormal. That said she could have arthritis or something else I forget the medical term. So he ordered a cortisone injection and MRI which would should either of the conditions. Hopefully get those scheduled next day or so.
While wife isn’t reporting a lot of improvement, she is only describing pain as 4-6, not 8-10 or worst as previous. Plus she is only medicating 2x a day instead of 4x. Thinking the meds and the CBD are having a positive effect. Not seeing the anguish in her face or movements either. Makes ME feel better.

I’m breathing better, still get spasms and tenderness. Slept some better, still dreaming weird stuff. Not near as much congestion blocking my airways. Stopped the Albuterol, it was causing my throat to fill up.
I’m hoping to actually rest today and not just talk about it.

One thing I quickly learned about the PHD was to throttle down the RPMs so it wasn't spinning so quickly. That kept it from flopping wildly on the end of the rig when lifted clear of the ground and gave me time to jerk it back up if it started screwing itself into the ground.

Pretty little coup, Kyle. Bet your daughter can't wait for the first egg!

Waste not, want not, right Eric? I agree with you about the smell of slowly cooking stew; just nothing like it, even if it does come from an Instant Pot.

Tire changing went very smoothly yesterday, getting all four off the rims and the new ones on in a little more than an hour. It helped a great deal that I brought the trailer up to the garage and used an impact wrench on the lug nuts, and the tires were nicely warmed from being stored in the box trailer out in the sun so the beads all sealed with compressed air. Efforts to get both tail lights working were an afterthought, unfortunately after I'd moved the trailer back down to the woodlot. Bad bulbs on both sides, one looking like it had been underwater for a long time. Then two wires completely stripped of insulation where they emerged from a flame cut hole in the trailer frame, with one wire having no voltage when it should be flashing. I seem to recall going through this before with this trailer, but now it has two new lights on it, both mounted upside down, so whoever screwed it up the first time has had another go at it. :duh:

Got started cleaning a carb for the big dirt bike yesterday by getting it all apart and into the Berryman's "rejuvenator" formula. Turned the heat on the ultrasonic cleaner all the way up to 80C, and wow how that stuff evaporated! Lost half of it during the first 30 minute cleaning cycle, and it turned the pot metal a dark gray in spots. Think I'll switch over to Stoddard solvent for today's festivities and see how that goes.

Coffee is done brewing. 50ｰ with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 56ｰ with sun in afternoon. Rain never showed up yesterday. Got a bunch of little items done including finishing up branch chipping. Take dog to groomer and get my hair cut. Not at the same places. Then will have to see what shows up as needing to be done.

Finally got my wife settled into a breathing machine that works and does not keep waking her up at night. Been a ongoing list of sleep studies and trying this and that. She got a CPAP Monday. First full night of sleep she has had in a long time. She had a CPAC that would wake her up several times a night.

David, glad your wife is feeling better. Visiting Kauai was best part of our trip to Hawaii. We rented a car on every island we visited for our 25th anniversary. Got see a lot on our own.

Good morning! 60˚ heading to 80˚ cloudy, light SW winds. No snakes seen this morning but then I haven't made it outside yet. Last week we had a couple of long worms crawling on the floor, I think they were worms, flesh colored about 6" long with little tongues. Where do they come from???

Cobbler for breakfast. I have depleted my picked berries and will have to go out and get purple and stickered hands again.

A gopher or vole came up from the bottom of my 3' raised keyhole garden and is pulling down the plants one by one.

Potatoes are looking good but we only got 1/2" rain when Kyle got three times as much so I"ll have to start watering.

Edit: the worms did not have eyes so just for fun I looked up blind snake. Yep we have the Texas Blind snakes inside.

Slow is good...I run mine at about 1200 rpm and would much prefer to stall the tractor than break the bolts. And never have, either in rocks in PA or here, where roots are the issue. Catch a big root and you can sink a PHD "to China" in a hurry. And no reversing out like a drill...
I always cleaned the hole out several times, the up and down deal, as I wanted the big ring anyway for water retention afterwards.
Now someone putting in a long fence would be going a lot faster than me digging holes for shrubs and trees.
Surely the old saying you really have to pay attention holds true when drilling into Mother Earth.
You can sure get to that WHOA feeling as the back end of your tractor is sucked down.
Blue sky and 60 degrees, headed out. Storms later but not now.

It should be, but they have a hard time moving out of the way. They can't seem to get traction on the tile floor.

My PTO is controlled by the clutch pedal. So you can clutch the auger up to speed. The B3030 that replaced it does not have a clutch. Engage disengage is a knob.

Drew, our Walmart has Bonnie's marked down from $3.58 to closer to $2.50 something ish. That could save you a wad on a large scale. Bonnie's will drive you broke. Green house sounds good. With plento O'shelves. Probably pay for itself vs buying Bonnie. I know it seems like it takes forever, but planting the seeds is the cheapest by far. It just puts the plants timing about a month behind. Right now I have about 12 Bonnies with green tomatoes while my start from seed plants are about 8"-10" tall. I'm hoping this will help spread out the production. If I can just keep the pests out...trying to stay totally organic.

Ted, my Wife and I built a small Buddha area behind the well house a few years ago (I'm Buddhist, she's not). She took it down last week to make way for the new deck. Buddha and his entourage are all resting comfortably on the driveway next to the sunroom, awaiting their new home. Once the new retaining walls and stairs are finished, the new zen garden will be the entire area between the stairs and the back of the house. She has some basic idea of what she wants to do there, so I'm just letting her go with it. She loves doing that kind of stuff.
