Good morning!!!!

I think the price is a good incentive to stick to it for 5 days. Just subtract the cost of food for 5 days and it does not seem too bad. The main reason I'm trying it is that the studies (in this nobel prize nominated diet) show a significant increase in stem cells in the bloodstream after the 5 days. The cardiologist that explained the benefits also tried it and lost 25 pounds. He said it allows for "cheating" with an apple, cucumber or celery if you start feeling faint, but he did it while working. They do recommend no long strenuous activity during the 5 days.

It’s a commercial venture with paid endorsers and no independent verification that any of it works. I had a friend come in my shop about 7-8 years ago with extremely bloodshot eyes and acting sick, a combination diet plus supplement had nearly killed him, he went to the emergency room and spent several days in the hospital. Bear in mind, I’m not trying to knock your efforts you’ve done very well, but everything isn’t for everyone. I’ve lost 55 lbs in the last year with no diet aids or special diet, just common sense action. My BP is down to 110-120 x 60 every time it’s checked. My energy level is way up and I have far fewer bad days.

First cup of coffee is to hot to drink. 29° with snow this morning. Heading to 35° with more snow. Got about 4" of snow overnight. Need to plow this morning so I can get garbage out front. Then of to PT. No plans for rest of day.

Don, glad your Apple was fixable. Thought I had a problem with the iPhone SE yesterday. Was plugging in charger and pressing home button at same time. Next thing I know it will not accept my password or anything. But it would talk to me as I pushed button. Did a search on Google for the lockout. Turns out if you push home button 3 times. You get a function called Voice Over. Push the home button 3 times and feature goes away.

Heated seats. We have had several cars with feature. If car has leather seat I use it a lot. My car has fabric and does not have it. Wife's car has leather and heated seats. She does not use the it. I do when using her car. My car does not have remote start. A feature I wish it had. Wife's car has it and she never uses it. Maybe I should change cars with her. :ashamed:

Randy, wish my blood pressure would stay that low. Since going on medication it stays at 130/80 average. At this time I will take it. It was 148/85 on average. I could loose 20 lbs. But I would need new cloths. Currently at 170 lbs.

Prayers for those in need.

Good Morning All.

Wow, that's great. I think 10 of those pounds may have found their way to Beaverdam.

Good Morning All.

My BP was anywhere from 140-160 x 80-90 all the time on meds before losing the weight. I’m not tall and skinny, I’m about 5’8”, down from almost 5’10” when I was young, and I weigh 224 this morning. I’m obese by all the charts, I have a large chest and as the Orthapedic doc says, the biggest dam# bones he ever saw. Having said that, I’m not skinny, never was, likely never will be. Drew can attest to that.
My best friend is 5’7” and weighs 155, constantly fights his BP and cholesterol.

35 going to 50. Just ran a coon off from my feeders with Coco's help. Really wet outside, but looks like rain has stopped.

Got my chainsaw and splitter work completed by 11am yesterday trying to beat the rain and get back in the house for an online seminar in which I wanted to participate...it lasted until 6pm, with breaks, which is when I got my other chores done.

Don, thanks for sharing your Apple service experience...good to hear about quality...we've never owned anything Apple, but think highly of the company.

Folks in New England can't catch a break, 20 inches of snow predicted for Berkshires.
Relatively warm morning, 47 going up to 57, 10-20mph winds.

My burn pile keeps getting bigger, waiting for days without wind and not much of that lately.
I like to burn on a calm day a day before it rains.

I'm headed up to VA and NJ on Friday, hope this snowy mess is cleared out by then.
My sister is going to make me a strawberry shortcake for my birthday next week, since that's what my Mother made at birthdays, even though
I told her I'd much rather have a fruit pie of any kind. This is when one keeps one's mouth shut and asks for seconds.

.71 inches of rain last night, more than predicted. Very nicely watered all my newly planted carrot seeds; hopefully didn't wash any away.
Visions of having more carrots in the furrows than the hills. Hmm, then what. Let them grow...

This is the rain that will really activate the first batch of potatoes. Next week I plant the second half.
Really cool seed potatoes from Territorial Seed, but gosh, 2 pounds of seed potatoes, that can't be that many..........for 16 bucks? When I paid 18 dollars for 50 pounds
from the regular supplier? Plus you pay shipping. I passed on the purple potatoes. I did order some sweet potato slips from them months ago that are on their way. I have utterly no idea what one looks like. Am guessing it looks like these little onions I just planted. 160 Texas sweet onions. Going to count how many onions they actually produce. Huge ag product for Texas, amazing big machines planting and harvesting them. I think I can pull out 160 onions by hand, assuming they sit on top.

Nice sunny day here. Need to run some errands and then back to transplanting inside. Have about 100 pepper plants to repot.
Though when the sun is shining it's hard not to be outside.

my sister's home in Princeton NJ is supposed to get 7 inches of snow during the day and another 7 inches tonight, 14 inches of heavy wet snow.
Not good at all. Going to be a lot of generators running.

24 and going to a high of 36. Wind E 15 mph. 40% chance of flurries or rain showers.

We got about 3/4" of snow late yesterday, just enough to be a pita.

I've got nothing planned for today.

I got email from my supplier for the backhoe yesterday.
You are looking at $9,650.00 + $1,254.50 HST = $10,904.50 total for the backhoe KB2475 with subframe, 16'' bucket, dirt pads & mechanical thumb. That is the installed price.
Haulage from and back to my place is an extra $600.oo. I will get that and a full service (change all fluids and filters) put on a different invoice and pay him in cash when the tractor gets back here.

I've got nothing to do today, tomorrow is the dump run and pick up a parcel in town.

Have a good day all

There is another storm lurking for this weekend but probably no further north than southern New Jersey if that far, may go out to sea or may hammer SW Va. too early to tell. The set up is right for big snow just right pieces have to fall into place

I never use the Sun roof and did not want one but I also wanted the very needed tinted windows and none came without the sunroof. I ended up putting a reflective shield up there to keep the roof cooler.

That's another option, or feature, I would not want. I've always said I'd pay more for a car without a hole in the roof than I'd pay for one with a hole in the roof. But that was something the elder of our two daughters just had to have on the last new car she got.:confused3:

I liked the heated seat in the Legacy we had. Wife is always to hot and I am to cold so I just turn on my heated seat in winter and we were both happy. Ed

My wife and I are the exact opposite.

My car does not have remote start. A feature I wish it had. Wife's car has it and she never uses it. Maybe I should change cars with her.

Our car has that feature. I checked once to see if it worked; it did. And if I wanted to use it, I'd probably have the get the manual out and read again to see how to do it.

Bird my F250 has a sunroof only opened it twice in two years. When we had dogs and took them with us used it a lot more for ventilation to help keep dog cool in the winter. Seat heater came in very handy I never got cold and dog never got hot

Itç—´ a commercial venture with paid endorsers and no independent verification that any of it works.

This is not supplements it's small plant based meals.
I don't do diets without research backing them. There has been an independent verification.

The study consisted of 100 people and was conducted at the University of Southern California Longevity Institute and Diabetes and Obesity Research Institute, and sponsored by the National Cancer Institutes (NCI) and National Institute on Aging (NIA) of the National Institute of Health (NIH). Fasting-mimicking diet and markers/risk factors for aging, diabetes, cancer, and cardiovascular disease | Science Translational Medicine "

I agree with you on diet research and health. I would like to see hundreds of studies involving thousands of people.

This diet requires a doctor's approval now in it's early stages.

There are more studies being conducted all over the world it is still early. The fact that a Plant based Cardiologist recommend it got me looking into it.

I will be watching for the results of more of the studies.

35°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 41° today.

We had some snow squalls blow through the area yesterday afternoon and evening. Weird event. When I walked out of work to my car, there were a few light flakes blowing around. By the time I was ready to back out of the parking space, it was coming down so hard that I couldn't see the traffic lights at the corner 500 feet away. I was in and out of those little squalls all the way home. Read some posts on Facebook from friends in Missouri north of I-70 who actually had some accumulation from it. We had light coverage on car tops and walkways. Nothing to show for it this morning. It's all gone.

Wife has heated leather seats in her Kia Sorento. My Soul has cloth seats, so no heat in them. Hers also cools. I like them. I'm not a big fan of leather seats, but the heat sure is nice in the cold months. As noted elsewhere, pretty nice on a bad back, too.

Good morning everyone. 32F and snow is falling; +1" so far. The NWS is still predicting 18" on their MA accumulation graphic for this area with this storm. I do not believe that the next weekend weather event will seriously impact NE.

Roy- Thanks for the tip. After my back starts to "complain" I realize that I forgot once again to spray the snow shovel. I did not even try to shovel that 7" of "falling slush" from the last snow storm.

My + thoughts, prayers, and wishes for all.

I hope that everyone has a decent day.

Good Morning!!!! 48F @ 7:00AM. A mix of clouds and sun. High 63F. Winds SSE at 5 to 10 mph.

Hope both you and the boy like his new doctor, Ed. The old one sounded like a real stinker.

I can't wait 'till you're busy as a one armed paperhanger trying to keep up with your harvest, Drew.

Also hope those in the northeast take it easy in trying to deal with all that heavy snow. It may tie things up for a few days, but that's nothing worth dying over.

I really liked the heated seats and steering wheel in the last car I had, just like I liked 'em on the only motorcycle I purchased new. But I hated the sunroof. Didn't like the sun shining through the roof into my eyes, and it made the roof so low I was always brushing my head on it. That made me slouch in the seat, then my back hurt. But like others have said, at the trim level needed to get the heaters, the sunroof was mandatory. Never again.

Very pleasant day yesterday weather wise, with sunshine and mild temperatures and wind. Used some Bondo to smooth up the Vanagon console, then gave it a nice thick coat of sanding primer. Then I changed the gooseneck like fittings around on the old motorcycle so there would be less reach to the handlebars; I'd put them on backwards a few weeks ago and hadn't noticed until I sat on it for the first time the other day. That meant undoing all the turn signal wiring and grip on one side, which was tedious but relatively straight forward. Using compressed air to float the grip off is a trick I learned years ago that still works like magic. Also got the clutch cable hooked up, but need to do some machining on the bolt that serves to adjust play at the back of the transmission. The bike didn't come with one, so I have to figure it out from the part it mates with.

Hope everyone enjoys their Hump Day!
