Speaking of prostate scheduled check up next month about 11 months ago it was enlarged but went down on its own and psa level dropped from 4.9 to 2.1. Now I sound like an old man but in body only. In my mind I'm still 18

I share your disdain for the iPad, Ron. The iPad lacks so many features and capabilities, and accuracy with finger-as-cursor is so poor, I really don't understand the attraction. Mine sits on the coffee table so I can look up TV programming info. I tried to use it when I was traveling, but it doesn't have the ability to download routes to a Garmin GPS or upload images from a stand alone camera, two things I do a lot of on the road. Wish I'd never wasted the money on the darn thing and instead picked up another used 17" MacBook Pro from 2011.

When I was an attendant I had one female eloping (later to become a patient of mine) break out wearing a double "johnny" (for her dignity). She looked like she was trailing two drag chutes as she ran down "Hospital Hill." She stole some woman's clothing hanging on a clothes line and made it dressed and safely home 30 miles away. The woman whose clothes were stolen was the Hospital Superintendent's wife

If someone saw her running down the hill trailing her "drag chutes", how come nobody caught her? :laughing:

It was change of shift. Wife was in the parking lot waiting to pick me up from work. She saw all the "action." We saw her running from the staff room window. She had a huge head start :sarcastic: The patient dusted me, blew my doors off and another attendant as well. :embarrassed::embarrassed: I was built for wrestling not running back then. Later when this patient got on my caseload we would laugh about it. I was assigned to her last 8 of 13 admissions.

Now I am built for a rocking chair. :embarrassed:, but I still retain my "juvenile mind"

Ron, After having the Battery Saver on for 22 hours I just check my 48v battery pack it is 55.2v and the Battery Saver is still flashing yellow. Is this what it is supposed to do?

Drew, have you checked the voltage on your batteries?

Drew, the Pulse charger is on all the time. The more you use the Charger the more it Desulfates.

my golf cart almost every day. Seat has to come off, then alligator clips on. Next morning, repeat. Lot easier with oem plug. Now if I could put an oem
plug on this charger, now we're talking...
It took all night into 9am next morning for my charge light to go solid. 50 watts isn't a lot of power. I bet that oem buzz box sucks up a lot more than that.

The 12V Battery Saver charger comes with a pigtale that is wired permanently to the battery. It ends in an SAE 2 pole connector that is widely used by many battery charger manufacturers. It's also very likely that the power port on your golf cart uses some other industry standard connector, such as the John Deere/BMW motorcycle connector. But then again, the golf cart uses 48 volts, so maybe you're stuck with the alligator clips? But wait...



A Facebook friend on one of the Vanagon pages uses these on his van for battery quick disconnects. They're rated at 50 amps DC. KS Terminals, Inc. makes 'em, part number BMC2S. Get two, wire one to the battery, the other to the charger. Make the leads on the battery end long enough so that the plug is easy to get to without lifting seats, etc. Maybe get an extra one and wire the charger end of your alligator clips to it so you can easily interchange for other applications. That's essentially how I have my 12V chargers wired, only with the previously mentioned SAE 2 pole connector...

I have had it run that long. But I do not remember see that high of voltage. Give the company a call. Yours is a newer model than mine and work a little differently

But don't feel bad. Somewhere out in the storage trailer is one running OS9. I keep it, you know, just in case any of the software in that desk drawer full of 4" floppy discs ever needs to get run again.:confused2: Oh, and I also have what used to pass for a Mac laptop, also running OS9, out there, too. Guess that makes two of us, huh?:cool2::drink:

My PCP like me too, maybe a little too much. I get the finger every year. At least now he gives me a tissue afterwards; it wasn't always that way...:shocked:

Yep! I'm still using two laptops from 2011, but my main machine is a MacBook Pro I purchased new in December 2016. If past trends continue, I won't have to replace the old ones for a few more years yet, and the new one'll go almost another ten. How many PCs do most of you go through in ten years?

The PC case I am using is over ten years old. It is one of the first Cooler Master HAF 932 cases to hit the street. Now the guts are a whole different animal The video card and motherboard are both about 3 years old. My monitor is about ten years old (an old flat screen TV), 27".

Re; PCP blood test. The screening test done by my MD wasn't covered by OHIP and was to cost me $35.oo. Nope, aint doing it. The urologist ordered one and that was supposed to be covered by OHIP, but the lab sent me a bill for it anyway. I presented the bill to the urologist, seeing as he was the one to order it AND he got the report, not me. He told me that it was illegal for them (the lab) to double bill and not to pay it. I called the lab on that.
The urologist, every time I showed up at his office it was drop trou and bend over and no reach around. I got tired of that routine real quick and now I don't go at all.
I am closer to death than I am to birth so when I die that will be it.

On another note, Amazon delivered the head lights today, with only about 1/4 charge in the batteries are they ever bright!

Randy- Prostatitis is no picnic. Of all the memories of all stuff with which I had to deal during my "ordeal" the bouts of prostatitis were amongst the most vivid.

From what I have read so far since I found this thread and I am glad that I did, I feel that I fit in with most of the other "residents" who are aging in place here.

This will not become a real true geriatric check in center until we all regress to discussions of daily pill counts; number of specialists and operations; and most importantly the number of, size, and quality of our daily BM's.

I could easily talk most of those now!

Roy, hope your doctor is doing more than a PSA during your visit.

No...just the PSA test right now...if the results indicate it, I'll go back for a DRE.
I requested the PSA test...as a result of a urinary problem a few weeks back (frequent and sometimes painful urination). The "painful" urination was attributed to dehydration. I drink a lot of coffee and some beer, both of which can dehydrate a person.
A guy at work is going through prostate problems (cancer a few years ago) suggested getting the PSA. Although there's no history of cancer in my family, I figured it couldn't hurt.

RoyJackson- Good luck with the PSA. You may not want the "other" test, but it is pretty reliable. PSA tests are worthless for me, so I "have to" get the other I need to find a female doctor- their finger(s) are generally "smaller" :wink:.

I had a woman doctor when we lived in Pennsylvania. Granted, smaller finger(s), but being professional, just as rough!

DRE's don't bother me...a bit uncomfortable, true...but not the worse thing that's happened to me. Granted, a guy sticking a finger up my *** isn't something I look forward to...
