Good Tractor Morning RS,

RS, yes it was a success in not only the flow rate, GPM, but also in the fact that we now had considerably more reserve with the much deeper well.
BTW, this is the Ct home ,not the Vt home. I have never had an issue with the well in Vermont, although I do sometimes get concerned with that well because it still has the original pump from 1998 when the house was built 😳. And always pray that when it decides to let go it’s not when I have our entire family there for a holiday weekend in the middle of the winter 😉.

In any event I certainly hope that your problems can get rectified as mine did RS 🙏

Thanks.

Our filter has button on top to relieve pressure

As does ours ... made no diff.

Filter has been disconnected (open pipe on the outlet side) and out of the loop for more than a year.

Just stuck really good.

don't know if i said this, going to eat on my birthday the other night, a car coming the other direction crossed the yellow line and drove straight at us in our lane. I got over to the right, flashing my lights on and off the whole time. Seemed to be an older lady driving, who must have thought she was getting in a turn lane maybe, any ways was interesting. Then turning into the restaurant, drive ran a stop sign almost getting us. Two near hits within 5 minutes of each other by drivers not paying attention. Then that night, we found out our friend was rear ended, as they were stopped in a line of traffic for someone to turn, pushed their car into the next, which pushed it into the next, so at least 4 cars involved theirs is totalled. Person who rear ended her said she was trying to retrieve a water bottle that fell on the floor, and never saw them stopped.
Some days it's not worth going pass the mailbox.

@rswyan while I am sure local geography has something to do with which tools local drillers invest in, I am a bit surprised that there isn't somebody around who does do it. It is not exactly high tech. Ever see any of the H2O mechanic videos?
I think that he is in Virginia, but no idea on where he might hold licenses.

I associate fracking more with hard rock wells, rather than sandstone, but I'm not an expert.

Around here, the "fracking" is often a little lower tech- someone drops a stick of dynamite into the well. Then again, I've heard horror stories of how long it took to wash out the taste of the dynamite from the well, too, so I'm not exactly sure that the local dynamite aficionados have "expertise" in increasing flow.

FWIW: My problem filters on my RO get silicone lube o-ring lubrication every time I change the filters, and they are still wretched. The strap wrench and a 24" cheater bar gets the job done. I always release the water pressure, but still, never a cake walk.

All the best,

Peter

Good (Saturday) morning. Overnight Low of 5.5C and it's presently 18.7C, partly cloudy & fairly calm.

A quick run to the PO yesterday for a Nespresso coffee delivery. Otherwise I'm continuing to fight off this 'not quite a full blown "Man Cold".' I count myself lucky as I honestly cannot remember the last time I even had the 'sniffles'. Still, I slept OK.

Thanks for all of the 'well wishes'.

That's about it, take care all.

Are you sure it isn't Covid?

Hoping you recover quickly!

All the best, Peter
