water filtration system finished, excellent install, including a new easy to use main house water disconnect.
205 bucks including his piping and valves, about a 16 foot double run to the main line.
Plumbers very impressed with how heavy duty the setup was, and no drop in water pressure.

Now off to change oil in portable gen, and work on the Cub Cadet.

Good Afternoon. 1215, partly cloudy, 51F with 48% humidity. Forecast high of 55F with no chance of rain today, and a low of 35F tonight. We had a big white frost this morning. Low was about 32F.

I'm at work watching FSU play Wake Forest. We have clawed our way back to 5-5 after an 0-3 start {in the ACC}. Wake is 1-9, so it should be easy right? Not so you would notice. The first half was nip and tuck, with 15 lead changes. The Noles have a slight 2nd half lead, but not enough to be comfortable.

Google maps just updated their sat photos. You can see my garden from space. {check out the new waterlines} Looking back in my "How does your garden grow???" thread, I narrowed down the date of the picture to the week before November 8th. I had dug the trench for my pepper and tomato plants, but they were still in the swimming pools. I have pictures of them in the trench on November 8th.

I don't know how to post pictures from Google maps, so I took a picture of my monitor. Sorry for the uneven lighting.

If you view it in Google Earth it gives the date.

I dont venture to the front porch after you had to get a special blessing to sit out there. Nor do i want to venture into the political stuff. I prefer to talk shop out here.

Anyone with advice on removing wallpaper border ? Fortunately not the whole wall. I believe i used the siezing(?) when installed, but won't pull off easy.

Just a border needs removed.
Wont be necessary to re drywall. I've removed whole walls of wallpaper before, but was 20 yrs ago. I just remember it was a pain.

I've had good luck with CitriStrip, it's sort of a gel so I can put it on thick, let it soak for 8 hours and peel the wallpaper off. One of my houses has contact paper for a wallpaper border in a bathroom and I've used Citristrip plus a heat gun and lot's of scraping.

I'm also learning how to skimcoat where my daughter ripped the wallpaper off, left the glue on, and painted over it.

Good morning. A day of showers for us and possibly a quick glance of that now almost mythical orange object that is rumoured to still exist somewhere up there above the clouds.

The Super Bowl has even made it to the news in this country. Something about Budweiser paying rather a lot of money to screen a commercial with a British actress, Helen Mirren, giving out verbal abuse :confused3:
Hope those of you watching the game enjoy your chicken wings ( or for txdon and followers, whatever plant based protein is your favourite).

Dragged some brush to one of my wildlife brush piles yesterday...originally built them for rabbits, but just as many foxes, skunks and groundhogs have used them over the years. Jobs like this make me drool over some of your grapple pics, since my method is using two arms and legs, and occasionally my tractor bucket.

I saw the commercial, she lambastes those who drive drunk. They need to add texting too. Pretty good job of it, in typical Brit humorous style of wit.

I took the family to a steakhouse about 20 miles from here, while I was standing in the doorway to get in, former Gov Rick Perry said "hey" on the way out. He probably had the filet, while we had CFS (chicken fried steaks).

The birds have picked clean the 2nd suet block already. I guess I need to go to walmart today.

No special plans for Super Bowl. Just hope it is a good game. Peyton will have to make those throws if Denver wants to win. He was off a bit the last game, but Denver's D helped them win it. Anyone seen the commercial that CBS is showing, of Jackie Gleason promoting the first Super Bowl on CBS? My dad used to watch his show, because of all the beautiful girls he had laying around the sets....

Good Morning. 0900, partly cloudy, 44F with 56% humidity. Forecast high of 59F with no chance of rain today, and a low of 38F tonight. Pretty white frost this morning. The low was 31F {according to wunderground. I was sleeping at 0630}

I picked up a new compass the other night at Wally World, so would like to get down in the river swamp to play with it today. Might take along a hobo stove and make some coffee. Speaking of hobo stoves, the shopping list for the other night included, "really big can of something." I found out the choices of something in gallon cans is pretty slim. I ended up with a gallon of green beans. Also got some tall quart cans of green beans. As soon as I can get those cans emptied, I will be making more stoves. The quart cans is about as small as I like to use. Since I do very little true long distance backpacking, I don't have to worry about space as much as real bushcrafters.

No big plans for the SB. Sister is a huge Bronco fan, as she lived out there for 30 years. Her and BIL must be going out for the game, since they haven't ask to watch it here. I am not a Manning fan, but I would never gloat when he had a bad game if they were here. Now I can gloat all I want. I do hope it's a blowout. This is my camping night, and I want to be able to head down there early. I don't think 14 points will win this game. Pretty sure it won't be decided on a missed extra point.
