Good Morning to All Who Celebrate! Currently 73° going to a high of 84°, sunny and clear until the weekend allegedly.
Glad to be back at work, usually any longer than 3 days in the house and I go a little stir crazy. Other than beating back the cold, I went and looked at the land.
It sure is some dirt, that's about all I managed to see. It drops away rapidly from the road and there was no good place to park and romp around. From what I could see it looks like there was a logging road on it at one point in time. Better follow up with the realtor sometime this week.
Got the new ball hitch I bought on Friday for the new trailer installed. Now all that's left is the chains and chain binders. Then I will be able to recite the ancient incantation of "That's not going anywhere." before moving the Kubota. I did check, and my truck is capable of towing 10k from the bumper. The question now remains of if that's something I want to do. I read somewhere that for regular use, you never want to max out your vehicle. Makes sense, but even combined with a heavy implement my L3901 might push 6k. Made me look at the next truck up, a 2500 in diesel. (That would be new to me, not new, as I've mentioned previously I'm not made of money) Maybe some day, we'll see how my current truck performs.
Parents made it down to the shore without incident and they took the dog with them. I'm now going to see how brave the groundhogs get without the dog on patrol. Nephew had his first ever sit on a tractor:
I can't believe he'll be one at the end of August, I'm sure he'll be pestering me for tractor rides before long. Time flies.
Related, I can't get over how much he looks like his dad. My sister was really just a formality in the cloning process.
Mostly, I can now say I've seen the Eiffel tower. Good pics.
Kyle, Happy Belated Birthday!
Ron, I'm coming to your place for Thanksgiving, you have all the turkeys.
All not specified, Stay safe out there y'all and be well!
Prayers for those ailing and recovering!
