Good morning!!!!

   / Good morning!!!! #208,391
Just dropped by with a quick update.

The sale of the old house closed two weeks ago, and I made what I hope is my last trip up there a few days before. I didn't get as much for it as I was hoping, but I came close to breaking even. That's not bad in the market there.

I moved my tractor and implements to a neighbor friend's place, and he'll act as my agent to get it all sold off. Today I placed an ad here on TBN if anyone's interested.

I started working on a Site Plan for a shop building here at the new place this past week. Had a very encouraging conversation with a gentleman at the county planning office and learned as long as I stay inside the 8' setbacks and don't install too much concrete, I can build pretty much as big as I want.

Since I'm no longer living in the country, and will hopefully soon be tractor-less, I won't be spending much time on TBN in the future. It's been great hanging out here, and thanks for all the helpful advise. Take care all...
Hope you show up at times, you usually had good and informative posts.
Good luck with the city living.

Good morning! 73˚F heading to the 90s, S wind, partly cloudy.

Back from the Family reunion cruise and our 50th Anniversary cruise down to Cozumel.
We had a party in our suite and 26 relatives attended. The cruise ship did an excellent job of arranging the food and drinks for the Anniversary party.

Our great nephew was the only one that did not make the party. He was pretty beat up from being slammed into the back wall many times during his stand-up Flow-Rider's lessons.

On the way back we stopped at Houston's Medical center to visit my wife's uncle who has brain cancer, he seems to be improving.
Happy 50th you 2 !!!
Glad her uncle seems better.
72.1 this morning very humid still was 80 at 12:01 AM this morning. Lots of not wanting to go outside yesterday this heat will melt one within five minutes soaked to bone.

Got more jobs to look at estimate etc.
Social services called said if I can not keep Holly under control they will take her. Hopefully I can find new nurse this is going to be tough.

Prayers for all silent or spoken our Country
Prayers Bupps.
Buppies, "Social services called said if I can not keep Holly under control they will take her." Since when is kidnapping legal? What do they expect you to do? Chain her up in the basement?

What kind of gift do you give someone who has 'everything'?
my ex wife's dad was "out of it" and they had keyed on both sides dead bolt locks. Actually kind of a relief when he went home to heaven. MIL was a trooper keeping him all those years.

When you say “given gas” do you mean that you actually added gas to the intake, or that you advanced the throttle?
If it’s the latter, it’s starving for fuel and will be a carb or fuel supply issue.
If it’s the former it’s likely an ignition issue.

When I was a youth, a wise mechanic told me that 99% of carburetor issues were ignition…..

But that was a different era, before the lousy ethanol fuel that we have today.

Could be something as simple as fuel tank cap not venting. Try loosening up cap to let air into tank. Also have a fuel pump. What year and model is your Mule?

Have you blown the fuel lines out?
Maybe add an electric fuel pump to supply the carb.
Agree with previous advice. I see you got it going, but I'm suspect that some additive actually fixed the problem. Only thing I can guess is that there was a little speck of something on the idle circuit jet and the chemical loosened it up enough to pull it through the venturi. This is rare. Some idle circuit venturis are about the diameter of a human hair. Our JD Gator had a Kawi V twin and the fuel pump kept going out. I kept bying Chinesium and they would last a month to 6 months. Finally bought a small very low pressure Holley fuel pump. It is kind of noisy until it has the fuel lines/bowl filled up. I just had put some time in it, cleaning the carb and the whole machine. Then sold it for 60% of what we paid for it 23 years ago. It was running great. I told the new owners it was a very heavy duty machine. It had $800 worth of new tires, and new seats. They got a good deal. Hope yours keeps running.

Been busy. The world is crazy. Praying for peace.

Been doing some piddly odd jobs. Cleaned up all the ice chests. I had bought a honda powered Ryobi pressure washer from neighbors. It needs the carb cleaned.

Washed the newer Gator today with Son. Need to wash the SUV.

A big project at work. 4x multiple pump training stations. Having to rebuild all the pvc plumbing with new clear pvc pipe and fittings. Need translucency for students to be able to see whats happening. Clear PVC is ka ching $$$

Not sure if I want to buy this old air cooled diesel engine from work or not. It hasn't ran in years and I don't know what the story about it is. It seems low on compression just turning the broken rope pulley by hand.

I need another project like I need a hole in my head. I already have a yanmar air cooled 9 hp diesel...

Took a chance and drove the Mule about a mile up the road to check on a friend’s property. combo Hi & Lo, 2wd & 4wd, reverse. So all in all a decent work out. Uphill going downhill coming home. No issues.
Glad it's running better.

When mine started sputtering around, I did sea foam, and E0 gas. it ran better for awhile, then started running worse than before. I haven't had time to mess with it.

Good evening all. 77ºF for the start, mostly clear sky, moderate breeze. Light wind, partly cloudy sky, and high temp was 94ºF, HI 102ºF. Made coffee to start day, help setup, attend, help tear down Chapel, breakfast with group, got the rest of the gas in the boat tank, replace the master bathroom toilet fill valve, finished recorded news, nap, made hamburger stroganoff for dinner.

Bill glad you don't have a tick problem. Hope energy conservation went well.

Don had to smile at fire ants got the ticks :)
Billy or chased out by the fire ants :)
Dennis interesting conversion on the sprinter van.
Kyle went through that with Dad. We had to enlist people to help with him when traveling because he was master escape artist. Couple layers of varnish can build in carb jets, then dissolve away in the fuel cleaner. Good luck with pvc project at work. I would not mess with the air cooled diesel engine.
Kyle glad cars washed, blades sharpened, sorry about bolt head rounding off.
David glad mule worked well going to neighbor's place.

Randy(wag) Sorry to hear about the funeral. Hope you can find another Padre, and funeral goes well.
M_G, thanks for that.

It was a typical 'small town' funeral in that a huge gathering was had, especially as it's a Monday... so large that it was held at the local football (Aussie Rules) club. Close to 450 attended, and quite a few Veterans. Some of whom I didn't recognise as they were from the Fingal Valley.

I believe that the "Padre" torch has been passed to the younger generation, which is our Anglican priest. He's already performed the "Padre" position at the parades/ceremonies for a couple of years now.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 65° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 82° with afternoon thunderstorms. Garden Pond maintenance went good. When that was done got a bucket out of barn. Used it to collect all weeds that were growing along waterfalls. They filled the 2 gallon bucket I had. Got done with this before it got too warm out. More time on back porch. Hope to get more time out there today. Not sure what I will get done today.
