Finished setting up and started using my new #5 plane.
Do you use that on the surface after the router sled, or on the edges in preparation for a jointer?

I'm headed out later to pull the electric plug on mine. Need to wait until big snowman dries off fully from last night's rain.Good Morning! 54˚F heading for a warm 85˚ with clear skies. Today is a nice day to take down all the outdoor Christmas lights and put them in the attic for next year.
I use Real VNC Viewer and Server to connect headless same as have all hardware connected !Good Morning!!!! 48F @ 5:30AM. A mix of clouds and sun. High around 65F. Winds N at 10 to 20 mph.
Thanks for keeping us in the loop, Ted. Wish the news was better.
Congrats on the new record, Bruce. I don't think I got anywhere near 7k miles on the motorcycles this year, but I did put a few on the ebike. Not making any NY resolutions, but I hope to do better in '25.
I've given up on trying to find a new web development tool. All I tried would require touching every page on the site, and I just don't have time for that now. I'm being pushed to upgrade the OS on my main laptop by compatibility issues, so it makes more sense to just move web development to an older laptop that's also running an older version of the OS that is required to support an older Davis weather station. Now I just need to find a switch that will allow me to go between the main and old laptops using the same keyboard, video screen, and trackball (KVM).
Did some counter top space mining in the kitchen yesterday, and learned that the spigot for the filtered water dispenser is leaking. I want to replace the cheap stainless steel sink with a salvaged enameled cast iron one anyway, but am waiting for some polish to spruce up the enamel. Just need to be patient for a few more days.
Probably more cleanup and organizing on tap for today.
Hope everyone's week gets off to a great start.
Will use to do edge prep for jointing. Need to get both surfaces even to mate up.Do you use that on the surface after the router sled, or on the edges in preparation for a jointer?
Been partial to 1946 myselfAnd all these years I thought 1942 was the year.
I am sure there are others that will agree with me.
