Good Morning!!!! 48F @ 5:30AM. A mix of clouds and sun. High around 65F. Winds N at 10 to 20 mph.

Thanks for keeping us in the loop, Ted. Wish the news was better.

Congrats on the new record, Bruce. I don't think I got anywhere near 7k miles on the motorcycles this year, but I did put a few on the ebike. Not making any NY resolutions, but I hope to do better in '25.

I've given up on trying to find a new web development tool. All I tried would require touching every page on the site, and I just don't have time for that now. I'm being pushed to upgrade the OS on my main laptop by compatibility issues, so it makes more sense to just move web development to an older laptop that's also running an older version of the OS that is required to support an older Davis weather station. Now I just need to find a switch that will allow me to go between the main and old laptops using the same keyboard, video screen, and trackball (KVM).

Did some counter top space mining in the kitchen yesterday, and learned that the spigot for the filtered water dispenser is leaking. I want to replace the cheap stainless steel sink with a salvaged enameled cast iron one anyway, but am waiting for some polish to spruce up the enamel. Just need to be patient for a few more days.

Probably more cleanup and organizing on tap for today.

Hope everyone's week gets off to a great start.

Ran over and picked up the honda. Wasn't too expensive of a fix, but got 2 new sway bar links installed and the oil changed. I supplied the oil and filter. Don't think they replaced the oil plug, so will see what it's like next time I try to change it. I have a new plug waiting.

Just watched a video of installation of new sway bar links, after watching them fight to get the old nuts off, it was a good call to have the shop do it.

Nothing on the agenda. Should get something done outside while it's half way nice. 50 deg out.

Good Morning! 54˚F heading for a warm 85˚ with clear skies. Today is a nice day to take down all the outdoor Christmas lights and put them in the attic for next year.
I'm headed out later to pull the electric plug on mine. Need to wait until big snowman dries off fully from last night's rain.
want to pack it away fully dry
1.71 on rain gauge, a good soaking

I just got up for the second time today. The lights and everything else connected to the grid went out at 06:10 this morning. Junior got the genny fired up and the wood furnace and sump hole switched over to the genny. I went back to bed. I had a book to read (Trudeaus' secret plan, by Ezra Levant), but couldn't get into it. The lights came back on at 08:41.

scott, most of my cats 'disappear' the same way. Taken by a predator. I think Belle, Tomtoo and Zack all got taken by a fisher. Snoop got done in by the neighbours dog (he was on the dogs' turf, so I cannot belly ache about that to the neighbour). An eagle or owl got Bojangles and tried to get Tyson. He has the scar on his head to prove it. Tyson doesn't venture too far away from the side of the house now. All that are left now are Cali (she was born here and is Tomtoos' sister), Tyson (Belles brother) and Grayson (Tomtrees' brother).
Maddie and Smokie both Maine Coons went to kidney disease.

1946 was a year after the war ended. Mom & Dad were married in 1944, Dad had to get married in uniform.

Back down the youtube rabbit hole for me.

Do you use that on the surface after the router sled, or on the edges in preparation for a jointer?
Will use to do edge prep for jointing. Need to get both surfaces even to mate up.
Lots of work with no Jointer, but nice to focus on that vs. cleaning up more sticks and branches :)

66°F and .07 inches rain.

Relaxing day yesterday. Did get a dump run. Gave away the old, but functional washer on Craigslist.
While it can be nice to recoup a few dollars sometimes it feels better to know you are helping someone. This was the feeling.

Happy Hour in town this afternoon

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day
