Good morning!!!!

Good Morning!!!! 56F @ 6:30AM. Foggy this morning, then partly cloudy this afternoon. High 72F. Winds W at 10 to 15 mph.
Same forecast as yesterday, and the day before, and the day before that. I'm not complaining!
RNG, sadly the ground was so soft, the FEL just went into the ground, no lift. But I was thinking how I might crib if I didn’t get other assistance.
Might have to put rock or timbers down under the FEL first to keep it from sinking in, then get the wheels up. Need more rocks/timber that way, but whatever it takes.

Glad you found the problem before the MH burned down around your ears, Drew. But how do you safely wire solid and stranded leads? Most of the "smart" outlets use stranded wire, and include wire nuts to hook them up to solid Romex house wire.
Yesterday was penny wheatback identification day. I managed to find some keepers. Fortunately they may actually pay for my time spend examining them.
If you're on Facebook, Eric Sander has a ton of videos on finding rare coins in pocket change. Here's one.

Didn't have much luck with the hand full of Battery Tenders I used on motorcycles. They died a silent death, leaving the batteries they were attached to flat. I've had better luck with the Battery Savers, except the ones outside that got wet. But man oh man have the prices on them gone up, almost doubled.

First thing I saw when I went outside yesterday was the lawn edger. Put the plug back in and it still wouldn't start, even after priming it again. Made the plug wet, so I know it's getting fuel. Couldn't check for spark because I couldn't get the plug anywhere I could see the gap and pull the starter cord at the same time. So on a hunch I poured out the old gas and filled it up with some that was probably just as old, but it did the trick. Never used one of these before, and I felt like I was taking my life in my hands. The steel blade made lots of sparks when it touched the concrete borders around the lawn, and the plane it was spinning in was perfectly aligned with my face when I stood comfortably behind the edger. I didn't start any fires or get hit with anything, but it was enough to rekindle my desire for a new Makita string trimmer, so I'll hit Home Depot this afternoon to see if they have one on sale for Labor Day.

If I did my math right I'll need eight 60 # bags of concrete to fill the hole where the side step was coming out of the garage. So that's on the HD shopping list, too.

Need an outdoor rated breaker box to add the big compressor and RV outlet to the back patio circuit, but none of the local HDs have one in stock. Should be delivered before I head north next week, but likely won't finish the installation. So take your time gettin' out here, Drew.🤣

I was going to replace the broken end of the gutter drain pipe out by the street, but when I checked it yesterday the grass had grown around it enough that it wasn't going anywhere. Guess I'll see next winter if the grass hasn't also clogged the line.

Trash service here remains a mystery to me. They have a green tote for yard waste, a blue one for paper, plastic, and glass, and a gray one for everything else. They're supposed to alternate weeks picking up the green and blue ones, but I've been putting out all three because I can never remember which week is which. And yesterday they emptied all three. Go figure.

Shopping today, and maybe get the place dug out where the old step got removed for concrete. And whatever else presents it self; there's no shortage.

Hang in there, gang, Friday's comin'.

Mostly, you asked for pic of the old Huffy bike in my back junk shed.. Unfortunately all I can see is the rim, to the right of the blue barrels. big wasp nest over top, didn't dare go back any further. The blue bike is one my wife had in the early 80s. She never got the hang of shifting a 10 speed.
I did shoot some raid wasp spray and got the nest, that fired them up.
Shed also contains some old double hung windows, that I was going to use if I built a barn, but didn't. Also a pile of pool frame and walls for a 24 ft above ground pool. And couple dozen buckets of builders sand, with the buckets falling apart from UV.
when I had the L3130 I used to park it under this shed, since then it has gotten filled with junk.
Got very dark in house, as a storm is passing to our south. lots of thunder rumbling. Temp dropped to 79.

68°F and 1.08 inches rain.

Stayed with the heavy duty cutting yesterday. After about 5 1/2 hours the LS tractor started acting up again. Just going into limp mode (1400 rpm), but never stalled. Not a temp issue as I had cleaned the radiator screen and temp was in normal range, actually a tad cooler than before cleaning screen. Texted report to dealer tech. Frustrating. That was when it started raining, so parked and quit.

Today Spark buyer coming, rescheduled from stormy Sat.

Hosting H&F this afternoon. Sophie made stuffed cabbage with ground turkey

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Good Afternoon,
Sounds like Paul got delayed down in Pa.
We are sitting in Robinson Aviation terminal, other than the counter reception
person, I’m the only one here ! She just informed me that Paul’s jet is in the air !
Just a little taste of what the corporate life style is like ! Are oldest son is an executive for a Toronto based company, so I guess he has been through here on more than one occasion!

Hopefully we can get a picture of the jet Paul is flying !

80F and supposedly mostly cloudy @ 12:00 but I'm seeing a good bit of sun. Calling for a high of around 86F for the day. DP 70F, HU 71%, "feels like" temp = 85F.

LWS says the high temp yesterday was 95.2F.

Made trip over to Kubota dealer and picked up a new seal kit.

One of the parts guys opened up the new seal kit and pulled out the new seal (corresponding to the one that was bad in the seal kit I had) and installed in the gland nut. It was quite flexible unlike mine.

Wasn't entirely happy with him doing that though for a couple of reasons:

1. couldn't tell how he installed it initially (although I did verify later that it was installed in the correct direction/orientation)

2. potentially mixing individual parts up ... think they had 3 new seal kits out from their inventory (plus the one I brought), not sure how many got opened up.

At any rate when I got home and started working on it, the new seal kit I got from the them appeared to have two extra o-rings in it ... 🤬

Don't like that sort of thing, as it creates a mystery (newer kits possibly have extra parts ? ... or did one of the seal kits that they had out but kept wind up being short some pieces ?)

Just keep your mitts off of it and let me do the work ...

They said they hadn't been having any quality issues on seal kits, think we came to agreement that it may have been the UV light from welding. That's the only thing I could figure.

Counter guy said that the one digit discrepancy in the number stamped into my cylinder body was common for Kubota and said that the seal kit I had was the correct one for that cylinder.

Got most of the seal parts installed yesterday when I got back, including the seal and backing ring on the piston. Then put the hose clamp "compressor" on that and threw it in the freezer once I came down to the house.

Cleaned up the ends of the hydraulic hoses.

Just need to put the cylinder back together and put it back on the loader today.

Might go ahead and replace the pins on all the cylinders (which are pretty worn) while I'm at it as I should have all of them in stock. Hopefully take some of the slop out.

Refilled hopper feeder yesterday, plus scattered some seed for the ground feeders. Tube feeders will be due today.

Also watered the indeterminate tomatoes for around 18 minutes.

Need to get cracking.

Hope everyone is having a decent Thursday ... (y)

99 degrees in Grayson Kentucky.
nice little campground off 64, not many folks here, spotless and they
even had a tree for me to park under.
what a difference a day makes, nice drive really had to work in the mountains for hours on end but then land leveled out.

82 in rv, time to turn the floor fan on

with fan circulating the air better temp dropped inside from 82 to 78.
sitting here in shorts, that feels just fine.

sure not getting many pictures taken, and not going out in this heat to do it.

interesting this campground has no pool, much less showers and a bathroom. Works perfectly for me, and she charged me 30 bucks for full hookup. Just took a nice hot shower and for sure, heated the water with the propane option, not electric. I'm not going anywhere near the electric hot water until that transfer switch is changed out.

filled up rv gas tank before I got to campground, a very pleasant $2.88 here for regular, but $117 for the day. I bet I was getting 6mpg almost flooring the V10 going up all those hills.
