Wiring to every room like that is hard to look unmessy. Some don’t even have terminals on them. I prefer all being hardwired.

Agreed.
Here is the electrical closet in my house. Every room has Coax, an Ethernet cable and shielded audio cable that comes back to it. The cable ranges from Cat 3 to 6, as some of it is 40 years old. Coax is a mix of RG59 and RG6. But it is very difficult to keep tidy regardless.

69F and mostly sunny @ 10:00, heading up to around 79F for the day's high.

Did not get much of yesterday's agenda accomplished although I did get the pallet of mulch unloaded out of the van.

After that was done I headed over to a friend's placed and picked up his loader bucket, grapple, and toothbar for repairs and modifications. At 6' wide it's a little large for the Kubota ... :giggle::

IMG_3287 copy.jpg

Also picked up a couple rolls of green vinyl-coated 6' tall chain-link fence that he and I took down a couple years ago from a closed school. There's probably 3 or 4 more rolls of that that I still have to pick up along with the associated posts and tubes. Plus 4 or 5 cattle panels.

Once I got home I got the 2 rolls of chain-link and the bucket/grapple unloaded out of the van with the Kubota.

After that I continued on with the clean up/top-dressing of the 2 rows of peppers and got that completed.

Got one Trip-L-Crop tomato and one Crimson Cushion tomato planted next to the first arched trellis.

Checked the plants on the shelves and watered those that needed it.

And then called it a day and came inside as it was getting chilly.

Did not make it up to the shop for any clean up though and no further work done on the Kubota either ... :(

Today's agenda will include getting the week's meds doled out which I didn't get done yesterday.

See if I can't get the screened compost I added to the eastern edge of the garden compacted down. Think the Yellowjackets have mostly given up at this point.

Once that's done get the weedblock fabric pinned down and start marking it out for holes.

Probably see about getting that nail pulled out the right front tire on the tire and what has to happen as far as any repairs go.

Maybe get up to the shop for a little clean up.

Plus whatever else comes up.

Hope everyone is having a decent Saturday ... (y)

Morning all, 72 going to 81 and sunny.
Did a dog walk early in town, day job, over to Drew's for door measure.
Spent evening going over game plan for dad.

He is now joking and hurting, he still forgets he can't just get up and walk.
GF is angry with us as hospital etc. calls my brother not her, but she has not have a cell phone or email and does not return calls at home. But at least she is still drinking heavy and yelling a lot, this time at my SIL. She seems to agree about the rehab I picked, so positive motion there.

Drew - make sure you order the door with the swing the same (hinges) that you have

Thomas - Lunar moths are pretty wild, we used to see them in MA.

Sorry about the break fuddy, at least get a rail on the steps so can grab onto something

Drew - I have been to San Diego about a dozen times and the zoo about 4 times.
It is so worth it.
Just for the landscaping it's worth a trip.
We did the backstage pass once and got to feed flamingos (what a mess) and the son got to feed a Rhino.
Best zoo I've been to outside of a safari in Africa.

Off to do some weed wacking , maybe HD later when sons friends come over after he is done at work.

Be well,

Nice day, a little wind 77 sunny

Moved over the LockNLube and associated swivel over from the Lincoln air gun to the Milwaukee cordless. The Lincoln is now the backup. The swivel fitting makes it easier to use in tight quarters

The dryer went out after many years of use. Decided to change it with a Speed Queen and ordered one from a local appliance dealer

The time on balcony last night was great. Not sure where the bats are but still looking around dusk around the barn.

Hauled up the splitter from the garage in the lower barn and split some. Worked out pretty good with loading up the lift and split on to the table and then stack and repeat

The arborist rope and accessories came in so will take down some branches to begin with and move up to bigger trees. Will use the bucket on the tractor and do the curl trick with

while digging into the dirt to get leverage if needed but likely it will be plenty strong to not need that. I think there is a couple thousand pound of weight in the back between filled tires, cast iron wheels and 4 center cast ring weights and a 900 lbs tiller in the back

Does anybody know of a good deer repellent?
If not I may have to utilize wire cages.
I use Deer Out, but after heavy rain need to respray.
I bought some peppermint oil, was thinking of trying that.

They also do not go near my sage (the spice plant, not the fancy ones) . They avoid it by a few feet at least.

Some people like the Irish spring soap, but we had a problem with the mice eating it. I guess if we hung it somewhere the mice could not get to it , it might work?

Mowed all the fields around the barn today. Got a little sun on the arms. The barn is slowly falling. Roof doesn’t look safe to get on any more to fix the metal. Poles inside are leaning. Left a couple patches of milk weed for the butterflies, a good bit of them
