Remember making lard. Our job butchering was to cut the fat into squares, that was then cooked in the big kettles. We would get several lard cans full, seems like a lard can held 3-4 gallon or more.
IMO, it is not fair to use a broad brush and call it "gun culture". There are at least 3 different "cultures" when it comes to guns. These can all be broken down into even smaller subsets...Sorry … but the “gun culture” doesn’t only encompass competitive shooting and hunting game for sport.
Both totally legitimate things BTW.
It includes Hollywood’s glorification of violence and the gun, minority gangbangers, and violent ideological radicals … like the guy who suicided himself by cop after trying some target practice at that FBI office down near Cincy …
Lack of news coverage ?
There is no lack of news that I can see … it was covered both nationally and locally.
Of course it didn’t make the 11 o’clock news here last night … since it happened after midnight.
I was wondering how the old zebra bike was doing. Glad she's still percolating.Good afternoon to the Good Morning!!!! crew; still in Orcutt, CA.

Just a thought about the ECU, David. If it is a heat related problem, and you can get it to stick in the failed mode, try shooting it with some compressed air or a CO2 fire extinguisher to cool it off. If that gets it going again, see if there are components inside the ECU box mounted on heat sinks. If so, there's a good chance the heat sink compound has dried out and is no longer working. Take the two pieces apart, clean them, and apply new heat sink paste.
Not sure about this, but I wouldn't be surprised to see an image size limit imposed here on TBM. It only takes a few hundred thousand killobytes to display a handsome photo on the web, and posting megabyte files is a huge waste of server space and network bandwidth, both of which cost TBN money.

It was a nice weekend here. Overcast in the morning with fog all day along parts of the coast. Got some shopping out of the way on Saturday, then on Sunday a buddy showed me some favorite motorcycle roads. The old Zebra bike ran well with the new rectifier in place, but the new helmet is noisier than the old one. Sounds like there's an air leak around the shield, so that needs some looking into. Had dinner and overnighted at my friend's place, but they were up most of it with intestinal distress. I got out of there as soon as I could this morning, and am keeping my fingers crossed I keep feeling fine.
Finished unpacking the van this morning, and will get some photos shot and posted for more items I need to sell. Not sure what the rest of the day will bring.
Hope everyone's week gets off to a great start!
