I'm praying we hear from Bill. Hoping he got to medical care.
Happy Mother's Day to all the moms. We have plenty of them here albeit in the background. My mom is 94. We took her out to eat on Friday. She wanted TexMex at a new place. My wife and I didn't care for it because they slathered the chicken fajitas in bell peppers. We both don't like bell peppers. We picked the chicken out, and "tolerated" it for my mom. Mom got a beef enchilada and a crispy beef taco. Hers looked good. We should have took her cue.
Our church has service from 9-10am. But, my wifey last night said she wants to go to our friend's church (he pastors a church about 20 minutes away). They start at 10:30 and go until noon. So any opportunity to get to a restaurant early before the crowd gets there is toast. Wifey said "I'm fine with Whataburger." I told her "That's another reason why I love you." Easy peasy.
When we were down in my hometown, we went out in the country to visit my friend and see his new home being constructed. It is about 80% done. Needs cabinets, trim, electrical and plumbing finishing, and flooring. He took money out of his 401 K to build it. When he took out the money, his balance was on the way down, and many of his friends said he might as well "take out the money and enjoy it everyday in your life now". It looks nice, with cut limestone from TxDon's area for exterior, and a black comp roof. Big patios around 70% of the house.
I'm watching the radar now, it looks like the impending storms will go north of us, probably brushing Don and Caren. (Don, is your wife's name spelled with a C? )
Don, sounds like y'all are "on a mission" to get going. I hope the closing goes smoothly. No unexpected hurdles.
There is a new season of Clarkson Farms. It starts off with the worst drought in 80 years, and then tells of the bureaucracy of the local town forcing him to shutdown ALL his restaurant, remove everything including the parking lot gravel, and turn it back into a field. Wow. So much for freedom and pursuing happiness over there. Clarkson is trying new things and the escapades entail.
I wonder how Eric the sheep shepherd is doing in Shropshire?
RNG, so how much more do you have to move and fix up north before you list your place up there?
My 14yo son has a "friend who's a girl" now. He's doing things I haven't seen him do before. Like taking showers with out having to yell at him to "GO TAKE A SHOWER"! He's got acne and is trying to stay clean to help reduce it.
Popgadget, what kind of music did they play?
Time to get ready for church. Prayers for our team.
