Good morning!!!!

Good evening! Hope you all enjoyed your Saturday!
I got lots of piddly stuff done. Including setting yellow jacket aka meat bee traps set.
One commercial trap is quite popular with about 1 inch of dead bees in the water at sunset. Need to reduce the numbers here. I'm allergic to the buggers. And the dogs don't like em much either. lol
Took the Cobra out for a romp around back country roads. Drove it like I stole it for a bit. Good fun. Home safe and sound.
Have a nice night.

Wow, 4 yrs it was. I was recovering from my GBS, was sleeping in my family room, and I remember trying to figure out how you had things connected based on your description. Time flies.

Drew, supper sounds good. Lucky guest.
I'm thankful the Good Lord healed you.

Any huisache? That covers about from South Austin to the Rio Grande...

Maybe closer to
Good Morning! I have been waiting patiently to post as the temp has been slowly going down. I am happy to report we have the coolest temp since April.
59.9
Heading only to the 70s today, finally a real Fall day.
Not quite as cool here, maybe 61-62F

But when you consider we've been having 105-109F temps, I almost need a jacket. Don't laugh, consider your temps minus 45F degrees.....Its all whatever your climatized to. I'm kind of liking 88F outdoor temps on some days.

No Yaris work yet. I've had to rebuild my walkway between my house and my barn. I should dig a moat and make it a drawbridge. I built it like it is, back in 2007, when my grandfather was still alive, when he was almost wheel chair bound. It is level between both buildings. This took up most of the last 3 evenings and about 4 hours today.

Now my electric clothes dryer is trying to break the belt again. I recently replaced the belt and new roller wheels. I'm going to have to take it apart, to see what condition the felt and plastic wear bearings look like. I looked up the parts and even on Amazon it could cost about $125 with tax to get everything. I need to clean out the vent hose and install a tight 90 deg elbow. A cheap Whirlpool now goes for about $500ish or more.

My FIL passed away last year in May, and we have his Gator XUV 835M. It is a really nice machine, but the yellow vinyl seats are so prone to mold, I would recommend black seats maybe? I mixed up some bleach water with Jomax and sprayed it on them, then scrubbed with a scouring pad, then pressure washed. I got about 80% of it off, but still not happy about it. The thing only has about a 100 hours and is now 5 years old. It has the best suspension of any offroad ATV I've ever ridden in, as far as just driving normal over a hayfield with some bumps. I kind of wished he would have got the A/C cab model.

Here in East Coast Canada we had a late spring, wet summer and a beautiful fall. Storm Philip is producing light winds and rain today. We did have some forest fires in the Halifax area but no really bad ones here on Cape Breton Island.

Sold my tractor to a machanic as it needed work but looking at buying another one. It will likely be another Kubota. They are pricy but great machines.

Drinking hot cup of coffee. 37° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 53° with sun and clouds. Got garden pond cleansed up. Started picking up yard ornaments for winter storage. Had a good time at neighborhood get together.
Will do some more yard ornament pickup today.
I think frog was looking for a place to spend winter.

nothing like starting your day off with a fine looking frog...;)

good morning all, much cooler here, 47 out, had to turn the heat back on this morning, house was chilly
61 today as a high, quite a drop. I think Don sent that cool air over here.

Scootr, just driving that Cobra must sound wonderful. Good for you, good for the car.
Better enjoy it before Sacramento bans them...

no plans for today, might do a little rv waxing in the sunshine.

my old business partner passed away yesterday in his early 80's.
A blessing, had gone into dementia in local nursing home.
His wife passed away three months ago. He simply gave up, as happens.
He and I ran the town's main real estate/insurance agency for twenty years together.
A good man, with good values.
And he loved Fordhook lima beans.
He also loved to smoke two packs a day and drink six cups of coffee with two teaspoons of sugar in each one, every day.
And he made it into his mid 80's.
He had a long and good life and you can't ask for more than that.
had a memorial all set for wife, now it will be for both of them.

worst part about getting older is losing your friends and family.
just makes you appreciate every day

Sorry for the loss of your friend!
Morning all!
48 and only going to a cloudy 59 today.
Not sure what I will be doing today. I have two sisters coming for a visit around 10. I'm sure wifey will want to get our 3 mile walk in before that. First cup of coffee is already gone. Will probably make another after posting here.
While we were out antiquing in Maine I bought some sea shells. Thought they would make nice ornaments. I have attached them to the post.
Going to be a cool cloudy week so it looks like I will be spending my time on leaf cleanup. Wasn't much of a show this year. Most of them turned brown and jumped off the tree with little fanfare. I did get a pic of our tree in the back yard that usually is spectacular red.
Not much else going on. Might make a few more ornaments to take with me to the craft show.
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!
First pic is titled: "Ballerina"

I made all of this. Twisted the wire, tied the knot and turned the pieces.
