I’ll echo Scotty’s sentiments, beautiful day today. Low 80’s dew point 59° blue skies no smoke and a very light breeze.👍
Thought I’d start the mow/trim/weed cycle again today but spent most of the day setting in the shade enjoying nature. Tomorrow’s another day!

Enjoy your evening everyone

Good (Monday) morning. Overnight Low of 0.2C with a light frost. It's presently 10.5C, clear and calm.

A lovely 'Morning Prayer' service yesterday and the congregation are really enjoying our new priest. I did spot the 'missing' horses at the Pony Club on my way back home and they returned around 1630. The Mad Agisting Horse Woman informed me that there was a deceased possum by the rounds of hay (she spotted/smelled it on Saturday morning)... so I threw on my boots and disposed it. Gees, did it stink!

I do need to do a tip run this arvo, but just for recyclables. Otherwise, things are kinda slow during the Winter months.

That's about it, take care all.

Good morning! 78˚ heading to 100˚ again as it has been all week.
We have a new member to our household, Mom's 18 year old cat (pics later) not as pretty as buckeye's cat but a very easy, friendly, slow moving cat. We adopter him after mom died last week, it was a rough week but things are getting better. Mom wanted to stay in her house till she died and she was able to. She had a normal morning, fed the cat, had breakfast, regular good visit with the visiting nurse, waved at the Mailman through the window, Then died at the mailbox.
Kitty and I are sitting in our screened-in patio watching the sun rise.
Oh my I'm sorry Don and Karen. I read the small last minute obit in our weekly paper while at the barber shop. It was Saturday afternoon. I looked up online to find out the service had been that morning. I know its late, but please let me know if I can help with anything. You have our prayers and condolences.

My mom is 93, and still in her house. I pray she can stay there until she passes.

65F and cloudy @ 21:00, heading down to around 61F overnight.

High hit 86.5F here today, was pretty warm in the sun.

Had a small thunderstorm pass through earlier that cooled things off, LWS said it added another 0.10 to the monthly total.

Got two more yellow tomatoes planted plus the two blueberry plants.

Then spent some time in the shade under the deck tending the squash and pumpkins in pots.

Took dump cart full of weeds and debris up to the compost pile and dumped it.

Woman went inside to fix dinner: some sausage with sautéed squash.

Then I got three yellow crookneck and four small sugar pumpkins planted.

About 19:00 it started to rain so called it a day and came inside for dinner.

Just put the Cub away in the barn.

Time for a little Peanut Butter Swirl ice cream with hot fudge topping and a movie.

Hope everyone had a decent Sunday ... (y)

64°F and partly cloudy this morning, got up to 89° today. We had a little rain overnight, which helped to wash out some of the dust on our road from the fresh oil and chip on Friday. We had an absolute deluge here on Thursday, so much so that our pond, which has been down about three feet for the last couple of months, is now finally back up to its normal level again.

Walked a fair bit yesterday following the mower around the yard. Step tracker on my phone told me it was about 12.9 miles. Good exercise, but paid for it today. Wife was also sore from cleaning the basement carpet yesterday, so we nixed our kayaking plans for today. Got some piddly stuff done, though, including an epic nap.

Condolences to you and your family, Don. Wonderful, though, that you got to spend so much time with her.

Good evening, gents.

Yeah, that used to be the way it would happen here in Tasmania, too. The Devils would've devoured it, bones & all, quick-smart. Now we depend on the Ravens and, at times, Wedge-tail Eagles to do that... I'm not sure if the Spotted-quoll is a scavenger as there are a few of them around here; they are carnivorous.

The Tassie Devils are slowly beginning to increase in numbers again. They were almost wiped out by a naturally occurring mouth cancer about 12-15 years ago. Healthy ones were isolated and bred in captivity to be, now, released back onto the island.
