Afternoon all! 70 and sunny out. beautiful day.
Happy Birthday Ron!
Got the grass cut finally. Made a quick trip with the string trimmer too.
Picked up the nephew and went out for a ride so he can learn for his license. While we were out we stopped for an ice cream cone.

Played in the shop this morning while I was waiting for the ground to dry out. Just a whimsical shape with no purpose.
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!

82F and "Fair" @ 17:30, HI 84F, DP 61F.

Trip down to Loudonville and Mohican State Park earlier this afternoon.

The Woman's niece, her husband, and their two kids were passing through on their way to the UP ... after a get-together with his side of the family down in southern Ohio the last few days.

Met them at Mohican and brought them a picnic lunch.

It's been a few years since we've seen them, gave them a chance to take a little break from the driving and for the kids to get out and play.

Beautiful weather: warm and overcast so no hot sun, had a thoroughly enjoyable time catching up for a couple of hours.

About to change into my work clothes and head out for a bit.

Probably get the FEL put back on the Kubota, move some more screened compost down to the garden.

Maybe see about getting the tiller put on.

Hope everyone is having a great Monday ... (y)

Happy Birthday to Ron !

Ken
power roller not affected by wind. Very non messy. Don’t think I had any errant drips today and prior ones were operator error. Once you get the rhythm of feeding paint and roller speed it is very clean.

Roller attachment was about $110 from Amazon. hH has as well and same kit works with multiple machines. The only connection is to the paint hose which should be a common fitting.

I got my XR7 in 2006 at HD so a bit foggy as to rationale. I already had a Wagner sprayer and knew it would not be adequate. I knew that I had a lot of use ahead so likely opted for more capability. I really like the 50ft hose as i much prefer not to relocate machine during a paint session regardless as to spraying or rolling.

While a bit of a chore to clean and its relatively same whether spray gun or roller, it is worth it considering what you get done.

Long day today. Woke up at 4:30 and never went back to sleep. That is when I saw the weather forecast for rain to start at 1PM at the lot, which is a 4 hr drive to get to.
At 6 i got up and decided to go. had trailer ready, just had to load mower, so was on the road by 6:45. Only stop was gas and one rest area before the lot. Got there about 10:45 and scared this one, I was mowing in front of the camera 10 minutes later. Another branch fell last week and rested in front of the camera. No bear pics this time.
at 12:51 I was loading the mower.
I installed the new Cell camera. It has already sent 32 pics, there goes my free 100 per month. I failed to trim a branch and got lots of pics with no deer, but have got a couple deer pics already from it.
Then I swapped memory card of the other camera, and headed out by 1:10 with the rain about to Roanoke. Got lots more deer pics.
I did mow for the East side neighbor lady over to the road instead of stopping at the line, She waved at me and smiled and gave me a thumbs up. It was rough mowing over 3 ft tall grass with the deck set to 4", but it looked pretty good after 2 passes. Just a lot of grass. This property on the road side of the trees grows faster than the field behind the trees where the camera is.
While mowing along the road another neighbor came by, turned around, so I drove over to the road and he stopped and we had a good chat. Really nice guy, he lives on the North side of the one neighbor that gave me a hard time last fall. He said everyone in the neighborhood gets along real good, except for these new people. He said they won't wave or talk with anyone. He used to work as a parts salesman at a chevy dealer and is retired. We have a common line also up in the woods. I told him I hadn't been up in the woods yet, he said it's pretty nice.
Stopped at country store down at the interstate exit, heard they had good food. I picked up a chicken sandwich as a late lunch. Got home at 5:30 as my wife was putting supper on the table.
after supper I mowed my field and most of the front. No rain here yet. I'll load more pics from my phone app, typing this long one on the computer.

Phil, nice whimsical

On way down this morning, a guy had hit a deer, and it was still laying in center of the road moving. felt sorry for it.

david, I used to have a wagner power roller, I really liked it. still got it somewhere in the basement probably.

This is the west side of the lot and part of neighbors lot
IMG_9789.JPG

This side is really rough. I want to put driveway where road curves and go thru the treeline.

Pic from new cell camera. I’ll pay the $15 unlimited for a couple months, if it works ok I’ll pay yearly so it’s $10 month.

Looks like I’ll need a new laptop. 11 year old macbook died today. spent too much time messing with it already. One thing I miss about working was the good IT support.

Son is ordering a new laptop. It will be fine. Hot and humid here. Been getting enough rain that there is very little dust when mowing so that all works out.

Hope everyone had a great Fathers Day!

We have to bleed both brakes almost every time you fly my friend's Piper Cub J3. Probably needs some 10K part.

The original brakes in a J-3 were drum brakes with essentially an inner tube that expanded with brake fluid to put the pressure on the brake shoes. The master cylinder was a diaphragm that was actuated with the pilot in the rear seat using their heel to push on a lever that applied pressure to the diaphragm. The front seat controls had rods going to the rear seat brake pedals.
Many of them have been modified to use a more conventional master cylinder and disc brakes.
