Good Morning
75 here in Orlando, thunderstorms later in the day with a high of 95.
A good day to be inside.

Yesterday was a good day, I did get to fly the little airplane, the left brake failed, but it was a non issue. Removed the master cylinder and took it home, but that’s as far as I got. Cleaned up a couple more blown over dead trees, visited with grandson and family, stopped by local RC field and saw a mid air collision before getting packed up to go to training. Flight to Orlando was not bad, there was a line of thunderstorms along the coast of FL we had to deal with, but overall, not bad.

looks like this system is going to stick around for a while
lovely day here

have been researching battery backup sump pumps.
my cellar will flood during heavy rains if power goes out.
if I'm off in my rv in east gibbip need a backup plan.
I showed landlord how to run back up gen yesterday but that is too hard a solution.
I need something automatic and built in.
maybe:

58 going to 88. Maybe a shower. Still some Canada smoke in the air.

Ron, hope you have a Wonderful Birthday!

RS, nice job on that engine.

Kyle, good advice to your son wearing boots by the tank, where good food sources of amphibians, insects, etc will bring in the snakes.

Mostly, those are some cool old bridges.

Didn't see the skunk this morning, but sure could smell he was here last night...plus some overturned rocks, where he was looking for tasty treats.

Good morning, 63 going to 87 today

Had a good day yesterday with not much getting done and kids visiting or calling.

Today will do the full work out for upper body and legs and some walking before it gets too hot.

Will see what I will get into.

Bridge designs are always interesting to me. We had bridge design as part of the curriculum. Rail road flange bridges were fairly simple with the truss bridges being much more involved and before computers with slide rules and Log tables. I was glad not having that as a career

looking forward to going boating near the campground
my rv site is in the inside middle at the end, if you can zoom in, just behind the bathhouse.
I've figured out how to get there by rv, now I am trying to find some boat charts online I can study.
need some fun destinations on the water not too far from Cedarville
first time I'll have my hands on a boat steering wheel in over six years.
I'm taking my brother an updated portable vhf radio as a house present, one with the new Canadian boat channels.
And a new fanny pack pfd. Yes, self servingly...but I'll leave them when I go.

boy would it be cool to see one of those 1000 foot lake freighters
Never got that big in Chesapeake.

lot of islands in this area, so many places to explore in a small boat
looks like a trip to Mackinac Island for lunch would be like heading to Bimini
from Ft Lauderdale. A little too far away for my little 16 footer.

she is coming to Philadelphia I guess soon and what great timing with Rt 95 shut down.

we had a pair of her tickets as a grand prize for the school's auction. It was bid up quite a bit.

blue sky with a little grey haze, not bad, going to be warm today

I'm going to a friend's for dinner, will pick my first green pepper and it will go in our
salad tonight.

Morning all, 69 going to 86 and sunny.
Did about 90% of the deck powerwashing.
Did a run with wife and dog to peddlers village for a beer or two to relax.
Dinner of lactose free stuffed shells and key lime pie were really good. Have not had stuffed shells in more than 30 years.

Today finish power washing, clean vines out of front bush the birds like so much, then maybe off to somewhere before we drop the kid at work around 5pm.

BEF - sounds like one of the HDMI signals is not coming through on the cable. For digital signals, it can be finicky and may need something in line to boost the signal.

RS - fun watching you take apart and reassemble the engine. You make it look easy when we know even getting one rusty or over-torqued bolt out can take a lot of time.

Sodamo- does the power roller make any mess like the sprayer in the wind. Was looking at the 5 model vs. the 7, was the roller a big $ jump? what made you decide x7 vs. x5?

Bad news from Brother, he is out of work as of next month, high risk/reward job did not pan out.
And to top it off he got a lung infection that affected his heart, will find out how bod from Dr. this week, hopefully not too bad.

Happy birthday Ron, we enjoy your pictures and company here.

Drew had a backup sump pump at my old house, I think it was a watchdog. Most important is a good battery, battery case and battery minder as I did not like the battery charger the sump units came with. Also need to raise the battery up a bit in case water does come up a bit. Better battery, longer the backup pump works.

Be well,

Can see how dark it was in the background, though without a real winter, not as bad as usual. The deerflies were a nuisance though.

Wouldn't the left brake cylinder be the likely problem?

Good morning! Low of 52°, going up to 86°. We could possibly see our first 90° day this weekend. If not, will be really close. Breezy today, gusts could hit 30 mph.

Unfortunately, still no chances at all of any precipitation in the 10 day forecast. This will put us in a deficit again....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! to Ron. Hope you have a great day!

Drew, looks like a nice campground. Hope you can find a boat rental place.

David, ....just keep thinking --- almost done...almost done... Glad the power roller is good.

Dennis, hope you can get the mowing done. Doesn't sound promising with the rain forecast......

Kilroy, glad you don't have to water the plants. Hopefully you get enough rain.

Ken, your place is looking good! Any more outdoor woodworking projects on the schedule?

Mulch got completed yesterday. Didn't get to start on the trailer sides... that became today's agenda. Need to go to TSC for some bolts, then a quick stop at WallyWorld for a small grocery list.

Everyone have a great day!

Seeing a 1000 footer from Cedarville will be very unlikely. Ships stay closer to lower Michigan shoreline going thru Straits of Mackinaw. You would not have to travel far in a car to see them on the St. Mary’s River. I have seen the 1000 ft lakers go through Sault Ste Marie locks, St Clair and Detroit Rivers.

Was hoping to find a replacement power washer pump but no such luck. They were all out of stock but then one showed up on a site at less than half the price. Checking into this it had the right description and spec but clicking on contact it showed an address from Singapore. EBay have them used but maybe I will pass on that.

Coffee is cooling in cup. 49° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 83° with some clouds in afternoon. Got more garden cleanup in morning. Then went to 2 different Fathers Day parties. I need a conserve energy day. That will not happen today. Today I start another trip around the sun. 19 years before I become a Centurion. Some more garden cleanup today before it gets warm outside

Hope everyone had a great Fathers Day.

Good Morning All.
Fantastic pics. Loved the cardinal too. Happy Birthday my friend, hope for many more trips around the sun.

13 yo son worked at church vacation bible school.

I'm off for Juneteenth today. Taught my son and his neighbor friend about dual pole contacts and capacitors in A/C units, what they do, and to be extra careful with electricity and the capacitors storing energy.

I also played a game with a message to my son and his friend. I had them stand on opposite sides of a corner, and I'm in the middle. Then I had them play rock paper scissors for 15 times (not counting draws), to which the neighbor won 10. My son was mad about losing. I taught them that if we were gambling, he would have lost money, and that games of chance are fun, but can be addicting and not to gamble away any money you can't afford to lose. Best if you keep gambling to a "peanuts" scale. I said some people get addicted to it like drugs and can't stop, trying to win easy money. I met a guy at work that does youth ministry, and he told me about a teenager running up a $4000 gambling debt to another teenager, and the kid shot the kid who owes him dead.

Prayers for our team, our nation, and for peace in Ukraine.
