Good morning!!!!

Kyle, I'm wondering if the figures are 'off'..... that's almost an unbelievable difference in rain amounts. I can see one storm missed, but all the moisture just dumped in one area? Hope you can get some more!

How big is the pond? Does the son catch and release?

Pretty bad out here.... I have watched two fairly large ponds dry up over the past couple years. They aren't spring fed, just run-off fill. Both ranchers are hauling water out to tanks for the cattle.

Here is our local rainfall for the last month. We are the lowest amount in the area. :( The drought monitor tab is on, and it shows NW of San Antonio to have the highest drought levels, despite them getting 2"-6" in the last month, so I'm skeptical about drought monitors from this day forward.

It’s a dry year for us as well. Here is a rainfall report going back to 2006 from my Davis weather station.

Storms all missed, as they have done the last few nights too. Accurate because we are getting cracks in the soil.

Well, did not work on Traverse A/C....

Instead ended up working on house A/C. Said some prayers. Started with the contacts, old ones were crappy looking at the point of contact. Put on a new set I keep in spares. Nothing doing. Then took off the capacitor, found my multmeter to check the um, only to remember I had blown the fuse for checking microfarads. Cut a very slim filament of foil and stuck it between contacts with the bad fuse. Worked! Then tested the capacitor, and actually praying that it was bad, because the alternative means a new compressor.....It was bad. I did not have a new spare, but had kept my old cap (that was working when I replaced it but was rusty). I had spent a lot on the cap ($60) that was bad, as it was "Assembled in USA" (with Global parts). And I had bought it at a place that will sometime sell to the general public if you sweet talk them and talk like you know what you're doing. Anyway, I just ordered 2 cheap ones on Amazon from China. If it only lasts a year, like the "Assembled in USA" one did, I won't feel bad about saving $30 each. $15 vs $45 We are praying it holds up until June teenth 19th. That's when the new parts will arrive.

House got up to 84F inside, and an hour later, it is down to about 80F thanks to there being a cloud blocking the hot sun. Still 93F outside in the shade.

Report on the Graco Power roller accessory - lov it 🤙🤙🤙🤙

Painted about 1000sf +/- in about 4 hours. Could have done more timewise, but I ran out of me. A workout on my arms and shoulders. About 1/3 done. Used about 4 gallons paint. Decided on just 1 additional extension and used a ladder for peaks. Have another extension, but was concerned about making a mess removing it and then the delay cleaning it. Working from ladder with shorter extension may have been easier.

I’m using Behr exterior latex from Home Depot. Other than a little water I didn’t get out of the line, no thinning. Actually that bit of water just sat on top until I took a break then mixed it in.
The You Tube videos were helpful and encouraging, the online reviews caused me to wonder. Short learning curve, just lower the pressure and drips not a problem I did have some mishaps from leaks at the fittings - my fault for not tightening properly. Oh, and I missed the bucket when I purged the system. Hopefully, the boss will forgive me. Oh also when taking a break I put roller in zip lock bag so not to dry out. Naturally I splilt it. Should have rolled it out more first. Lesson learned.

Results are great. Able to put on a good coat and roll out evenly.

Clean up is about same as just the sprayer time wise. I cheated a bit today, not cleaning exteriors well figuring they will get messed up again tomorrow. I did do a decent job cleaning the functional internals and the roller mechanism. I bought replacement covers but looks like this one cleaned up well enough to reuse.

Here’s the front. More impressive in person.

good morning all
looks like a nice sunny day up to about 80. Perfect June weather

Popgadget, I used to average about 70 inches of rain down in NC in Inner Banks. Your annual totals are very interesting,
good reason for me to keep watering my newly planted trees and shrubs. The only thing staying wet around here is my drainage ditch.

I bought a new cheap solar powered water fountain for my bird bath when old one failed. Turned out I had to completely take it apart and clear a clog, but the newer one
has the twice the power for two bucks more. So I have this old but somewhat working solar fountain, and water sitting out in the ditch. Hmmmm
next time it fills up, might put the fountain out there and let it float around.

this afternoon I'm going to take out the Gravely, hook up the gravel driveway scraper and go scrape my neighbor's lane. That should be fun.
Four neighbors on that private lane, they were all delighted for me to do it, they have to share lane maintenance and this will preserve their current gravel.
gosh I wish I had one of these as a kid, tending a third of a mile long gravel driveway into the farm, full of potholes. I raked, and raked, and raked. And being the youngest brother, that crap job went to me. So I became the Roadmaster of Rockwood Farm. Later on when I returned to the farm, I had my first Gravely, a 16G, with a mid mounted scraper blade. I would use that on the lane and just sit back and smile. Almost no raking. That blade could be angled, what I'm dragging behind me today is not.
One thing for sure, I am not doing any manual raking today, but if I make a mess.....well I have to clean it up. So not going to go all the way to the sides since I can't angle the gravel back to the middle.
I wish I had kept the mid mount blade but it went with the unit. Then I bought my current used one, took it down to the frame, at some point repowered it, and now need to find work for it to do.

I would borrow Ken's backhoe for my stump, I know he would lend it to me, or use it himself over here, but am afraid of breaking it. It's just a baby backhoe. I think I need a heavier one that will sit on the driveway next to stump. Trying not to wreck the entire area. But Ken, if you want to be the operator, my friend's son has that beautiful equipment trailer I showed earlier, and he will come pick up your tractor no problem. I just don't want to break your machine, particularly since I have zero seat time on back hoe. Honestly easiest thing to do is have local rental place deliver a M62. Not meaning to impugn Ken's beautiful Massey Ferguson, but it's a subcompact and that backhoe I'm sure digs wonderful trenches. But a big stump?

backhoes are like swimming pools. I don't want one but I sure want a friend with one.
