Morning to all and a Happy Fathers Day;
Well heck I went and did it, bought a little tractor.
Not only did I buy a little tractor but it's also a hydro drive unit. So the new tractor should be delivered Tuesday or Wednesday.
A Kioti CK 2620SE cab even went with the little tiny backhoe. Was just looking for a small used one to get into the places I can't get with the larger tractors then my wife spoke up get something with a cab that she could drive if needed. She got nervous last winter when we got a major snow storm and no one could have gotten a vehicle up the driveway till I went down through with the tractor and shoved a bunch of limbs and trees out of the way (breaking a mirrior in the process). She doesn't feel comfortable with the Branson 8050 or the NH 8160 even though both of them have power shuttles and the NH is a power shift and the IH 574 doesn't have a good cab and can be difficult to start when cold.
Now I'll need to find a small brush hog and maybe a back blade as all my current ones are a bit to big and heavy for that tractor.

Good Morning
67 and supposed to climb about 10 degrees under bright skies today.

Yesterday we had a few showers blow through wit gusty winds, but was generally a nice day outside. Lost a few tree limbs in the wind, debated mounting the grapple to clean up, but son and I did it with the carry all and a couple of saws.

Their dog got into something and threw up blood, making their bedroom look like a crime scene. I went down and stayed with my grandson while they went to the vet. They came home about 1:30 am with the dog and no real diagnosis.

Not much planned for today, I would like to take the little plane out for a ride, supposed to bbq with the kids and then this evening I head off to Orlando for Simulator training until Thursday. It’s pretty breezy out, I’d like to do a little RC flying this afternoon if it calms down. That should be enough to keep me busy all day.

Good morning and Happy Fathers Day! Supposed to be near 80° today.

Yesterday was quite pleasant and we got the mowing done. Took a nap then out for dinner and went to the brewery to listen to the band and have a few beers. We were joined by a friend that lost his wife at Christmas. He seemed to enjoy getting out.

Not sure what today will bring, I will find something.

Hey @Kyle_in_Tex if the stars align this week, I am going to a test session with an AFT rider. He wants to test my Kawasaki as part of his test day.

Everyone stay safe out tnere

Yesterday was visiting with daughter and her friend from school. They live very different lives now. She married into Mormon family and have many kids. They restored a beautiful place in BEF's neighborhood and built a barn and is boarding horses. Her mom was living part time in Hawaii but has now decided to live on the North shore big island full time. She was not happy about that being expensive to travel and few visits.

Good Morning
54 with a high in low 70’s today, rain and thunderstorms by lunchtime.

Yesterday ended up being pretty productive, started out after a nice breakfast on the Lazer, new suspension seat is awesome, can go much faster in rough areas. Got all the trimming done, hooked up the progressive and mowed the rest as well. A local sod farm has the same model (TD65) progressive mower for sale, along with a spare one for parts.
It’s tempting, as mine is going to need some repairs to the rear deck where it’s rusting through, but for less money I can by a CNC table for my plasma cutter and make a new deck pan to weld in. And then
I’ll have the the table for future projects.
Once I finished the mowing, I got out the pressure washer and soaped the tractor, Lazer and Prius with the foam cannon, used a long handled brush to scrub, rinsed with a 45° tip, and then chamois’d with the leaf blower.
Loaded grain into the feed bins in the barn, played with Zoe and grandson a bit then sat down for a bit of dinner before putting my feet up.

Off to Portland, ME again this morning, hope to be back before the weather gets here from the west. Should be home in time for lunch at my favorite spot, and do some tinkering in the shop while it rains outside. Supposed to play music tonight, so it should be another full day.
Glad you are enjoying the new suspension seat. I can easily go twice as fast in rough areas

Morning all, 72 going up to 81 and sunny.
Went out to sushi in Doylestown, I won't get sushi at many places, this is one of them. Fathers day dinner since son has to work today.
Walking the dog saw two newborn deer, off in the bushes so no good pictures.

Maybe today powerwash rear deck. Up late as out late last night.

Happy fathers day!

I will leave the BH on the Massey. I can operate and have removed big stumps, just takes patience and sawzall as an accessory for deeper roots.
Makes a mess of the area, but if it's in grass, easy to peel the grass back just need fill dirt. Don't want anyone falling in the hole.

Wife is making (lactose free) Key lime pie for me tonight, one of my favorites.

Good morning! Low of 47°, heading towards 84°. Sunny. The latest forecast only has winds at 15-20 mph with gusts to 30. A little better than yesterday.....

Today's agenda is repeat of yesterday's....
Should be able to get the mulch done today. If time (and energy level) permits, will try and get to fabricate and mount the metal sides on the trailer.

Everyone have a great day!

Be safe

77F and sunny @ 12:30, headed up to around 80F for the day's high.

Ran down to the local NAPA in Canal Fulton yesterday and picked up a couple of gallons of Shell Rotella ELC Extended Life Coolant (pre-diluted) and a quart of Zerex Super Cleaner.

The coolant is supposed to be good for 600,000 miles.

System capacity is only 4.7 quarts, so I'll probably have plenty leftover ...

Got exhaust pipe rotated out of the way, radiator and fan shroud removed:

Poor thing really needs a bath, Pops would say: "Leave it ... keeps things from rusting" ...

Got the old pump pulled, looks to be the same as the new one:

IMG_2738 copy.jpg

Decided to take a break at that point and go mow the front lawn and get off my feet for awhile. Got front all done.

Then back to working on Kubota.

Brought the radiator, fan, hoses, pulley, and a spacer down to house to wash off in the stationary tubs in the basement.

Squirted down the radiator with full-strength Totally Awesome! cleaner and hosed it off. Was amazed at the amount of crud packed in between the cooling fins.

I do blow the radiator out with compressed air fairly regularly, but it was pretty clear that wasn't getting all of it.

Probably worked on the radiator with the hose for 15 - 20 minutes straight, debris just kept on coming.

Got everything I brought down washed off and then hauled it back up to the shop.

Nephew stopped by with his wife in his pickup truck to pick up a load of stuff for the big multi-family yard sale which is coming up. Spent some time visiting with them and then got him loaded up and sent on his way.

Of course that Little Squeak had to go hide under the couch until the intruders left ...

Then back to the shop to work on the Kubota.

Cleaned up the mounting surface on the engine with some 500 grit sandpaper and got the new water pump and gasket mounted and torqued down:

IMG_2739 copy.jpg

The Workshop manual called for an application of Three Bond 1215 (silicone) to both sides of the gasket ... but since I didn't see any evidence that it had been used on the factory install I didn't bother with it. Didn't bother painting the pump either.

After that I got the belt, pulley, spacer, and fan installed and torqued down:

Removed the coolant recovery tank and drained it into the second milk jug of antifreeze.

At that point it was 22:00 so I knocked off and called it a day.

Today I will get the coolant recovery tank cleaned out and put back on, radiator and shroud reinstalled, and everything else buttoned up.

Then refill the cooling system with tap water, run it, and then drain again.

The refill it again with tap water and add the Zerex Cooling System Cleaner. The instructions for that say to run the tractor for 5 to 6 hours which I will do.

Then drain that and fill it with distilled water and run it for a while before draining it again.

Once that's done I'll fill it with the Rotella antifreeze and it should be good for the duration.

Probably refill that hopper feeder today as well.

Also suspect that plants and seeds in pots will need watered.

Hope everyone is having a great Sunday ! ... (y)

Congrats and Happy Father's day. A wifey that recommends a tractor is something very special. Consider yourself blessed. Hope the new machine works out great for y'all.

Sodamo, the place is looking GREAT!!! Thanks for sharing, and for the Graco power roller review. Tell Sophie Howdy!

wngsprd, glad your feet are still able to give your body "fleetness", from dodging snakes to chasing skunks....and for your nature hikes. My son got in trouble the other day for going fishing with his crocs instead of his rubber boots (gummies). Then he saw 2 big snakes on the water and quit fishing one evening. He now knows my fatherly rule for wearing boots around the tank is a good one.

Sorry to say, but I kill poisonous snakes, and others that I find in my chicken coop (or have egg lumps in their stomachs). We are far from fast medical help. A snake bite is a bad situation for our locality.

So far the house A/C is still working, new parts should arrive tomorrow.

Church was good this morning. A friend of mine's mother has terminal pancreatic cancer. 80 years old. She's not handling it well mentally. He says he hopes she'll give it to God. I will pray for her.

Glad y'all are getting cool enough weather up north to chop wood. Too hot down here.

Watching StaleKracker on facebook catch frogs to eat. Hilarious. while we wait, we hydrate!

Prayers for our team.
