54 going to 82, and 80% chance we won't get rain. We need rain. Plus, TV weatherman says the Canada smoke plume may come back down tomorrow afternoon.

Good idea, Ron, changing flags today...I'd join you, but already walked down the lane and put ours up this morning...plus, just recently changed ours out...it didn't hold up so long like yours.

Took a nice hike yesterday, then joined my wife for a shopping trip for groceries and a couple of things from REI.

Just had a Amazon delivery at 6:15 am. Much better than at 10pm. Sassy always wants me to join her when welcoming anybody that comes to the door.

Drew, delivery was a 50’ hose for my Ryobi 2300 psi electric pressure washer. Tired of having to haul pressure wash out of barn every time I wash something.

Good Morning
It’s 57 with a forecast high of 68 with thunderstorms by noon.

Yesterday was a beautiful day here. Not so nice in Portland, ME.

Got home in time to get a few things accomplished, the deer are so used to humans here that you can get surprisingly close to them. This doe has some fresh fawns that were about 200 feet away from her in a hedgerow.

Son is out of town for work, so DIL and grandson came up for some burgers on the grill. Zoe had a lot of fun playing with the grandson, only bowling him over a few times….

Maybe this morning before the storms I’ll get the pressure washer out and clean some equipment and cars. Don’t have a lot else planned, maybe service the Progressive mower in anticipation of needed to mow sometime now that we have gotten some rain.

just looked through a lot of electric pressure washer specs. Picked out 8 name brands on Amazon, then ranked them by approval ratings.
This one seemed the best, uses the same pressure wand as I currently have, so foam gun will work, and has a remarkably high approval rating.
Plus I bought a Greenworks cordless lawn mower and so far have been pleased with it.

whatever blew up in my current one jammed the motor, and blew the circuit breaker.
might be interesting to take it apart and see what broke.

Good morning! 80 degrees this morning with all sorts of advisories today. Air quality because of the smoke from Mexico and heat advisory with heat index of 108-112.
Just gray, hot and muggy outside.

Good Morning!!!! 65F @ 5:15AM. Mostly sunny early then increasing cloudiness this afternoon. High around 90F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.

Roofer says they're done with the roof. Looks nice, but I want to go over it closely, looking for gaps that might let embers intrude into the house. He also wanted to put solar powered attic fans that mount over holes in the roof. Said they were ember proof, but when I asked the company for documentation to that effect, they couldn't produce it. The California Fire Marshal publishes a list of ember proof vents, and they arn't on it. It's also not in the budget, so it's a no-go.

It was too late to make it into town after the roofers left, so I called a neighbor that offered his big gas driven air compressor to seat the beads on the side-by-side tires. As much noise as it made, it just didn't put out enough air. Next step is starting fluid, and he loaned me a can. So this morning's gonna start off with a bang, or four.
