71F and "Fair" @ 15:30, heading down to 63F for the low in the overnight. Calling for a high of 82F tomorrow ...

... with scattered strong thunderstorms and winds ...
Woman took advantage of the nice weather today by picking up sticks, of which there are many, over on the west side of the lawn. Says She now needs something to load them into. Doubtful that will happen today.
More work done on prepping saw base for paint last night.
Got all the contact cement removed from 3 phase motor housing and a good bit of sanding done on it.
Last paint job was done over the contact cement apparently ... surprised they didn't go all the way and use latex paint ...
Cracked motor open to have a look inside and clean out the saw dust, was a good bit of it ... but not totally packed, windings are still copper-colored, doesn't look like it cooked itself at any point:
That bearing is a Nachi, made in Japan ... so if the bearings were replaced at some point, at least they used the good stuff.
Dunno ... could be OE ... have to ask the relative that used to work for Baldor.
Will have to cut a new gasket for the electrical box on the motor.
Installed a isolator bushing where the wires come through from the motor housing into the electrical box:
Also got the t-strip edging installed on one side of the Biesemeyer fence. Need to rip the UHMW down to size for the other side and get it put on before I can install the t-strip on that side.
Agenda for today:
Finish sanding the base and bring it down to the house and wash it off in the stationary tubs. Maybe take it back up and get it primed and sanded later tonight.
Probably move all the fence parts down to the garage, mostly to get them out of the way and free up some room.
Beyond that see what else comes up.
Hope everyone is having a good Tuesday ...
