Good morning! Low of 23°, heading towards a high of 50°. Wind 20-30 mph, gusts to 45. Same for tomorrow, but snow late tomorrow night/ Thursday morning. Maybe a couple inches.

Piddled around yesterday, but nothing really accomplished except organizing and cleanup.

Wifey would like a couple of built- in type furniture pieces, one an entertainment/ bookcase, the other is to replace our 'open' desk and shelves. I may start drawing them out today, compile a materials list, and see how much it will cost. Then we need to discuss which will get done first.

The article about the sweetener reminds me of the "saccharin" debate years ago. Proven to cause cancer..... but it's still on the market. Same with diet soda..... just nasty stuff.

Don, there's a farm up here that does the same with people "visiting" the farm. They made a very large 'village' with different themes. The biggest being at pumpkin harvest. They probably gave up 80% of the farming, making far more money at entertainment of the masses.....

The wind is kicking up..... time to go batten the hatches....

64°F and .84 inches rain.

Nothing planned, just take the day as it comes. Need to reclaim area to park truck in garage. It shrunk a bit when the Mule with washer & Dryer were parked there and didn’t regain that much for the Subaru. A good dump run would help, but that would only happen if not raining. Not looking too promising.

Drew, Date sugar is the healthiest sweetener but it will thicken in coffee. I have a bag in the pantry but haven't used it in a long time. It looks like light brown sugar and taste very good. One ingredient: Powdered Dried Dates. Worth a try, if it dose not work you can use it for your muffins or cinnamon rolls.

Kilroy, if you want to ignore stuff like this, and whitewashing it all as nonsense simply because of your political views, good luck.
I mean that nicely.
I'm going to continue to try to reduce risk factors as much as I can.
TxDon's experience of losing his brother to heart disease has helped teach me the importance of paying more attention to what I eat.
If I had known a long time ago that red meat consumption has a direct link to colon cancer, I might have changed my diet long ago, and my wife might
not have died from rectal cancer. These are life lessons that we often learn too late.

Now ya see, i am not whitewashing anything (other than not naming something that would get my post removed). I listed only a mere fraction of potential health issues, yet there is one *potential* item that *may* impact people’s heath that NOBODY is allowed to even HINT at asking “Maybe?”

and when that one thing is brought up, people don’t just “whitewash” is - they vehemently attack anyone who even raises the possibility that the unmentionable item could *possibly* warrant a little more investigation and shut down any line of inquiry.

I am not the one ignoring anything - I am seeking complete information.

i am not the one trying to shut down inquisitiveness. But it is odd that one *particular* item instantly incurs a granite wall of protection around it.
