wondering if there is an adequate way to fix this. Both left and right rv rear fender flares have cracks in them I'm guessing
from overtightening and poor design. Each piece is about 200 bucks to replace and unlikely it comes in right color.
I was thinking if I had time on my hands at some stop, I'd unscrew the item and use some superglue.
Am surprised pieces haven't fallen off already.
Drew NAPA has a 2 part plastic repair that we used all the time to repair plastic pieces on forklifts worked very well and held up nice.

Good Morning!!!! 38F @ 5:00AM. Cloudy and windy at times with periods of rain. High 49F. Winds S at 20 to 30 mph. Chance of rain 100%. Rainfall around a half an inch. Higher wind gusts possible.
Picked up another quarter inch of rain yesterday. Very windy all day and last night, too, and it looks like more of the same today.

Took the garbage can up the hill during a dry spell yesterday, but now I hear that service may be suspended because of snow on the rest of the route. We had a brief snow shower yesterday, but no accumulation, and there's no snow anywhere here now.

I was braising the sides of a roast in the InstaPot the other day and reached for some olive oil. The bottle with the pour spout was empty. And there was no quart bottle in the pantry. I don't buy vegetable oil or any other cooking oil but PAM. No butter or margarine, either. So I just poured a little water into the pan and kept turning the meat, and it browned nicely. Yes, there's some fat in the red meat, but at least I'm not adding to it.

Same goes for sweets. I go through about 25 pounds of cane sugar a month feeding the hummers, but I don't use it in anything I eat. Instead I use raisins and fruit. I do have a candy dish, and maybe once or twice a week will eat a piece, but it's the exception rather than the rule. After all, all things in moderation.

I very rarely eat processed food, a big change from when I used to shop at Trader Joe's and most of dinner would come out of a can or plastic bag. Yeah, I spend more time cooking, but that's pretty minimal because the InstaPot runs on its own most of the time, and all I end up doing is slicing and dicing. And then bagging and freezing the left overs. Maybe all these changes in diet will let me live a little longer. Maybe not because my evening meal usually has some kind of meat, but in much smaller portions than earlier in my life. The last thing I need is more stress in my life worrying about what I eat, so I just try to avoid salt, sugar, and oil, and don't worry when I can't.

Got all the data entry done on the income taxes yesterday, including the Fire Victim Trust stuff. That took more time to research than I would have liked, but I did learn a thing or two. California has exempted the money from income tax, and a neighbor on Facebook posted how to enter the info. But the lazy, no good Congress critters still haven't passed an exemption at the federal level. But they did pass moving the filing deadline until October. Doesn't do me any good because I already cut a fat check to the IRS back when I received the first preliminary payment. There seems to be bipartisan support for waiving the taxation, and it's frustrating that the legislature just can't get it done. It's hurting a lot of people that have already suffered enough.

They may not be easy to take off because of sealant without breaking them. Try to back the screws off a bit and see if it will come off

43 going to 72.

Kyle, how is your eye problem?

Truck drives like new since getting the free tire rotation and balance done at Costco.

Rain showers off and on, but dried well enough to cut a load of firewood before dark. Mostly hickory, should burn well.

Buppies, glad you're enjoying the beach.
Eye problem has subsided for the most part, thank you.

My 12-year-old son had his first track meet, 7th grade yesterday. In the 4x100 relay his group took 3rd. He didn't get much coaching for the triple jump, so he blundered at that too. So I didn't have the best feeling about his 400m dash. The kid came in first in his flight, and his time held up to the other flights. Wow! I told him I knew he was fast, but I didn't know he was that fast.

Frits, I'm not sure if they were already taken off once, and whether sealant is still an issue. Most of them are cracked on both sides, but wonder why anyone would feel a need to take them off.
Not like prior owners ever rotated their tires.
What a sloppy sealing job no matter what...
I think maybe try one spot at a time.

Kyle, congrats on a speedy son.

Morning all, going up to 41, and cloudy.
Had out first snowfall, dog was rolling around in it like if was gold.
Melted off already.

Needed new rotors and pads on rear of jeep to pass inspection. By the time all was done, with oil change etc. came to a tad over $700, which is a lot less than last place charged just for the rear brakes.
Hope these last longer.

Drew - my wife has reactions to sugar alcohols so we don't use any of those products. I take my coffee black since I became lactose intolerant and don't like sugar in it without milk, and I guess honey won't work in coffee.

M7040 - happy birthday to your young bride

Did not sleep well, visit with heart dr next week.

Be well,
Brother, your from Pennsylvania? Try a half teaspoon of real maple syrup in your coffee, it doesn't take much! My wife is out collecting sap right now. Good stuff.

Good morning. We did get snow overnight, but the ground was warm enough that there is none on any of the hard surfaces

Yesterday was in the shop, made good progress on speakers as well as paperwork. Close call with the bearing on a flush trim router bit. It was about to fail, and the bit chews into the work when that happens. I use them a lot, and keep spare bearings for this reason.

I always feel the bearing before put the bit in the router, it felt fine, but after a few minutes of use, I felt it chatter, and stopped before it grenaded.
When I build the boxes, I oversized the top and bottom, trim them to within 1/16” on the table saw, and then flush with the router.

We took Zoe to her first kindergarten class, she did well, almost gave the appearance of a well behaved dog.

There were other large breeds in her class, a Burmese Mt dog and a Great Dane. My wife commented on the way that she would seem like a giant compared to the other dogs, I said maybe she would be the runt in the room. She was about in the middle of the six dogs in the class.

Time for breakfast with the professor and then back to the shop.
We took Cody to dog class training at 6 months old. It mainly helped 'train me in what to do". He is well behaved but lack in socialization with other dogs and he has a Shepherd instinct that includes the whole neighborhood. If he hears UPS truck two driveways over he reacts to that by barking and pulling. I am not sure that could have been trained out of him. We had other dogs that just would hang around the house but that is not how Cody feels.

Good luck with your puppy training

well......I was going to put honey in my coffee tomorrow morning but read this from Mayo Clinic:

Generally, there's no advantage to substituting honey for sugar in a diabetes eating plan. Both honey and sugar will affect your blood sugar level.
Honey is sweeter than granulated sugar, so you might use a smaller amount of honey for sugar in some recipes. But honey actually has slightly more carbohydrates and more calories a teaspoon than does granulated sugar. So any calories and carbohydrates you save will be minimal.
If you prefer the taste of honey, go ahead and use it. But only use honey in moderation. Be sure to count the carbohydrates in honey as part of your diabetes eating plan.

seems like the old challenge of lesser of the evils. I ordered some turbinado sugar to try. Maybe if I limit myself to one teaspoon a day...is that moderation???
