Oddly, the last speeding ticket I received was in a rental Prius in Utah…..like 75 in a 55……

Good morning to all! Low of 34°, last day of going up into the 60's. Tomorrow the 50's, then only the 40's for Friday/ Saturday. The weather guessers are flip-flopping on the predicted rain /snow probability. Maybe yes...maybe no...
I'm thinking it will be a 'wait and see' scenario.

Did get some shop time in, still more to do before completion of the little shelf baskets. Doing small projects like this seems to take much longer than the bigger ones....

Need to get the bird feeders restocked.... forgot to do them yesterday.
Keep forgetting to drain the compressor tank.... another thing to do...

RNG, with today's tech, I believe that cars / trucks can go for high mileage before really becoming troublesome. My last Jeep Cherokee that I purchased new lasted 425K miles before I sold it.... it's still goin, now over 500K.
The last Jeep Wrangler that I had went over 200K without any issues before I traded it in.
Now for gas mileage.... we have a little Nissan Note that consistently gets 41.4 MPG's. Not the most luxurious accommodations, but it is our 'go getter' car. It's surprising how much that can fit in that little hatchback.

Ken, sounds like 'international day' on the phone.... hope it goes easy for you.

Fritz, I consider car dealerships to be the only thing worse than attorneys! Good to hear that you're standing up for your daughter.... hopefully there won't be any need to have to stand your ground...

Drew, your day sounds busy.... try to take it a little easy....

Time to get into whatever I'm going to get into....
Everyone have a great day!

got gas, wow was premium expensive, and then dropped off ups and radishes to brother.

checked on the new freezer, it was running fine and cold
No call back from electrician from four days ago.
No call back from another electrician from two days ago.
I understand folks being busy. Not returning phone calls is hard to excuse.

67°F and 2.15 inches rain. A bit moist.

Said good bye to visiting friends. Nice to have that 3rd helping hand sometimes.

Sophie may have gotten most encouraging ophthalmologist report since surgery. Pressure up and noticeable improvement. Keep taking the high priced drops and back in a month.

Got about half my Hilo end flailed. Had hopes of finishing today, but still raining.

Hand & Foot this afternoon. Fingers crossed we guys have a better outing.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Good Morning

I hope you can do the treadmill...
I for one can NOT do a treadmill ... I've tried, but due to my gait, the rubber treading shoots off to the left and the edge starts to shred. I stopped.

Things are still awkward here, but at least I am home, able to be online and work in my office. I have an appt with a lawyer in 3 weeks (options) and I went to the Credit Union yesterday ($ options) ... I don't want surprises, but wife says that she wants a buy-out. At least FIL and SIL have moved out of our space. Wife has moved upstairs with the tenants (her girlfriends), and has indicated that she is "separated".
Unbeknownst to her, that actually makes it less complicated. By her choosing to move upstairs, WE (the homeowners) have effectively taken possession of the entire house. So now when the tenants have vacated after proper notice, in a few months, there is no need to wait 6 months to rent out the upstairs unit, at the going rates (double of what is currently received).

I still need to do the major burn, and a dumprun or two. Everything in time.

still catching up here. Thank you for the prayers and thoughts, I'm managing. It's different.

Have a good day everyone

60F with "Haze" @ 13:45, but starting to look very sunny. Calling for a high of 69F for the day.

Had another "Dense Fog Advisory" issued last night, was very foggy this morning but mostly burned off at this point.

Got pallets of stuff moved out of barn yesterday. Still need to move some items into the shop, which I forgot to do yesterday.

That allowed me to access the one pallet of half-sheets (and smaller) plywood.

Fished out a piece I used to replace the table on the radial arm saw. Replacing that took quite a while, due to the old screws being hard to remove. For certain things I think flat screws are my least favorite option.

Woman worked over at the house on cleaning up the three 8' double fluorescent fixtures that were originally hung over in the barn. Those will be probably be the last to be hung as the paint on them needs touched up.

She eventually came over to the barn later in the day to lend a hand.

Got four damaged OSB panels taken down and the pin nails removed.

More clean up of leaves and debris inside.

Worked on sealing up the bottom of the center overhead door.

Relocated radial arm saw up against the front wall by the man door.

Took measurements on all the bays on the north and back walls for foam board. Got around 15 of those cut to length.

Woman knocked off around 20:00 and ran down to the local pizza joint to pick up dinner.

I knocked off around 21:00 and came over to the house to eat. Was pretty whipped.

Fell asleep on the couch after that for a couple of hours, then woke up and went to bed and couldn't get back to sleep until around 04:30 or so ... :(

Agenda for today:

Refill two suet feeders.

Rehang one light fixture on north wall I took down to remove an OSB panel.

More clean up.

Get foam board placed in bays around perimeter of interior.

Juggle some more pallets around inside so I can get to the pallet of new OSB.

Relocate some of the work tables up the walls.

Haul trash from the barn up to road.

Plus whatever else come up.

Hope everyone has a great day ... (y)

Did you change it just because of the age & miles, or were you noticing performance issues?

Red Triangle of Death appeared on the dash, and codes supported bad battery. Also noticed a decline in mileage prior to that.

Good morning! 69˚F, heading to the 80, warm days again. But not for long.

Well I was schedule to work today but the tractor shifts today and tomorrow were canceled. Today probably just low attendance and tomorrow it is supposed to rain. Saturday will be a nice cool sunny day after the cool front passes through on Friday. They are having a "special" on the left over pumpkins. All you can carry for $10, with all money going to the CASA charity. When an abused child goes into foster care There is a volunteer that is assigned to the child. That volunteer is called a Court Appointed Special Advocate, or CASA.

Don, you might find this of interest. Curry Roasted Kabocha Soup with Ginger and Coconut Milk | Foodland

I used regular pumpkin Monday. 1/2 for a full Insta Pot. I don’t follow exactly. Roast for an hour, add garlic and carrots, high pressure in Insta pot for hour. Leave on the skin. Blend with immersion blender and add more coconut milk. Barely enough for the dogs to lick at end of day.
