Good Evening / Very Early Morning
I had a busy couple of days with bookkeeping and sending a packaged to Canada Revenue Agency for a client. Nice to have that monster file behind me. I sent it Express Post, so it should be there on Friday. Now to get the invoice figured out.
Computer will probably be taken in tomorrow (and by that I mean that my techie guy is picking it up, stealing it for a couple of days), to get issues resolved, updates done. Thanks for the continued thoughts and prayers. Must wash eggs in the morning.
daugen - uggh, glad that you got that remedied quickly with the shop vac. For now I'll stay on the injured / recovering list - shoulder still tires easily, sore, fingers are numb most days (weird feeling, like a pin under the nail) Good Story about the watch payment / gift
popgadget - you can come to my place anytime to visit, cook, tinker ...
m7040 - I can relate to so much of what you say. All 3 of our children are Adopted, ... one via Domestic Adoption here in BC, and then an older / younger sibling set via International Adoption (Haiti). I took them power-sledding as I called it, dragging them through snow drifts with the quad. Fun Times.
I love the wood pile storage
riptides - step counter / pedometer (?) I used a cheap one for a few years, hung on my waist, a full day was about 4000 steps for me. I should get one and then walk the dog down the road to the stop sign ... 2 kms return.
BEF - exciting times for sure, hoping it all goes smoothly for you. Not sure what I'd do with that tank, but there are possibilities
Alien - thanks, no sign of the little dog yet, I don't think the bear got it ... more likely that it got scared, and lost, or what we fear now ... possibly a Bird Of Prey - owl, eagle. Hoping that someone found it though.
LittlebittybigJohn - NICE catch, we have lots of turtles out here, not very big though. Welcome to this Good Morning thread
mostly-gas - My only fear about running for the Regional Director position in the coming election, is ... that I would likely get in. Typically there might only be 2-3 people running at most, and I know a lot of people. Been planted in this community for 21 years. I'm sure the job would be fine, interesting, fun, but the timing for me is not good for taking that on right now. This region has probably 4500 residents, and I dare say that most of them know me. I kinda stand out, ... I have my whole life - that also keeps one at their best behaviour
. Good thing is that apart from a few criminals with a grudge, I make good connections easily, and the government / political stuff is familiar to a degree from my career. I'm leaving things alone, this time, but give it 4 years ... ?
I had the opportunity to visit my (middle) daughter, her husband, and my grandson yesterday. They took a photo. This little guy is now 6 months old, and 2 teeth have surfaced. Happy little guy. I'm going by "Pappy" and my wife will be "Nana". What a Blessing
Son in law has the parts now for my GMC Tracker, and the Isuzu Spacecab ... so progress is pending shortly.
