PJ, there's a lot of hardware there, and if their base is diesel, well, yeah. Lot of expensive steel.
I'd like to go back five years and see what the same machine sold for then. It's been around a while.
It could have a Kubota engine or something really good in it to justify the cost.
Those axles have to be strong to handle all that leverage from the super wide track.
I had an elderly doctor friend who needed one of them for a field on his farm. I mowed it with that Gravely because of its low CG, needed on one side of field where it went up a fairly steep hill.
I'm a real chicken when it comes to tractors and slopes, don't like them at all. I can see if you live near the mountains, like my brother does, he could use a mower like this for steep mowed areas on his VA property just near the Appalachian Trail. He uses an old Kubota front deck mower, also very low CG. Well thankfully now he pays help to mow.
We are getting too old for this hazardous stuff. Level ground is good. Tricycle wheel front tractors with bush hogs on steep slopes are not. Those tractors can be killers and I've seen
it with my own eyes. So if it keeps you safe, and you can afford it, yeah I'd spend the money if I had slopes I had to mow.
M7040, have fun poking around. Hope they have something interesting to look at.
