Good morning!!!!

FINALLY got caught up with the reading here. Whew! Now I need a nap.

Read some conversation from a couple weeks ago about mowing on steep slopes, and I've always been fascinated by those guys, too. Recently, I've been seeing some mowers along I-70 through north St. Louis city that I'd never seen before. Did a little Googling this evening and found that they are Kut Kwick SlopeMaster mowers. Never heard of them before. Pretty interesting with wide dual tires and lower center of gravity than a tractor. Not sure if they belong to the city or the state of Missouri, but there sure seems to be quite a few of them.

Good mid (Wednesday) arvo. The overnight Low was -0.4C (around 0230) but then quickly rose to 8.4C for the morning. It's overcast, no rain, and fairly calm with a High of 13C.

I've been to town for groceries and a few scripts, although I've a later Dr.'s appointment; nothing's wrong, just need some new scripts and to get a note/letter for my scripts as, at the end of September I'm travelling to Canada to visit family. I'm only going for a fortnight (Sister & Aunt live in Burlington, Ontario).

As I've already mentioned, tomorrow is AGFEST, so I may be late on here or delayed to Friday.

Take care all.

good morning all
looks like a nice sunny Wednesday, about 90 out
off early to go watch tree company take down large tree in graveyard at church.
They will need some big equipment, tree is right near ancient stone wall, everything needs to be lifted out, nothing can
fall into graveyard. taking my Kindle and camera.

That KutKwik looks like something Gravely would make, heavy duty for sure. Looks like a competitor to the one I just saw at grange fair, though not articulated.

speaking of Gravely, lots of fun planned for tomorrow. Hooking up trailer and heading towards Fort Dix NJ tomorrow to retrieve "my" Gravely 8199 from friend's mother's farm, where
it wound up when my farm was sold. I was not going to let that favorite machine get away; gave it to a best friend. Now I'm healthy again, but no place to store it.
I'm going to go over it carefully and give it a good grease job. With its big comfy orthopedic seat, a new 23hp Vanguard engine, it's just a marvelous machine, now sitting doing nothing.
I really worked that tiny tractor on the NC farm, did all kinds of jobs. This was my weeding rig for going between potato rows.
It really should go to a home where it will be used more.

Zero turns took over the market and a high end garden tractor like this couldn't compete against the
mass production of big box John Deeres and Toros. It's the kind of old fashioned but still very capable machinery that just won't die if you maintain it.
All that weight over the rear axle like a VW Bug means remarkable traction. I got it stuck a few times until I put those ag tires on it. With the ribbed tires in front,
it has a nice mini agricultural look. But no poser, it knows how to work. Third pic is my BIL enjoying a little dirt time. He's the guy who did my avatar.
Note the white plastic on the deck edge. For mowing near gravestones...

I had four tractors on that farm and I think I still liked this best. Well the big Massey really was fun...

I was thinking Lou would like the design and simplicity.
And a hand clutch just like the JD B I grew up with.
I've missed it...

guess I'll be mowing the lawn this afternoon. Everything is super green out.
