Good morning!!!!

Good Morning!!!! 52F @ 5:15AM. Sunshine and clouds mixed. High 67F. Winds S at 10 to 15 mph.
Picked up another 0.2" of rain overnight, and from the looks of the radar map that'll be it for this storm. The 10-day is calling for another inch spread over Wednesday into Friday.

The rain has stopped any further work on the driveway, even repairs to the dump truck. I was able to get to town yesterday to pick up the flex conduit for the new phone line and Ethernet up to the cul-de-sac, but struck out on a battery for the little Yamaha motorcycle.

Tried to drive the van to town, but it died at the end of the driveway again. It was just sitting there idling while I checked something on my phone when the engine shut off. Hooked up the noid tester and it wasn't blinking while the engine cranked, so I tried another way of connecting it and the thing started right up. So now it might be I'm barking up the wrong tree with the noid tester, having just connected it wrong previously. Just to be sure, I bought another crank position sensor while I was in town. The Subaru dealer wanted a hundred and fifty bux for one he didn't even have in stock, but the NAPA store had one on hand for forty, so that's what I came home with. Of course the van started right up after I installed it. One of the most recent changes I made was to install the alarm system, and that included a disabler circuit that cuts power to the fuel pump. So today I'm going to disable the disabler and see if that fixes the problem.

good morning all
pretty mushy out and more showers this morning
over two inches of rain last night, looks like snow North of here, tail end of system coming through this morning with wind and showers

will go downtown later this morning when it warms up to 50 and will go food shopping for neighbor. Weird, not one thing on her list I buy.
She asked for chocolate ice cream, and I'll see if I can also find a treat, maybe one of those little cartons of Ben & Jerry's. For medicinal purposes of course.

yesterday I found one of the gutter downspouts had blown off and was sitting in the bushes. Wonder what I'll find this morning.
Looking to back of property there is a white/pink dogwood blooming peeking through the evergreens. Such a pretty time of year.

Roy what did you do different?
Never did hit every night...seems like there'll be a couple or three one night...maybe two; then none for a couple days...

A few days ago, some guy shows up down the block and rifles through the neighbors car.
Takes a few things, one of them is the garage opener.

Last night this guy shows up again. Neighbor is still up late that night.
Calls police, they come in silent.

The car is now impounded and the perp is in a holding cell!

Great work between police and neighbor!
That reminds me, Ken, that yesterday in town I saw two police cars with their lights flashing and someone sitting on the ground handcuffed. This morning I read that they'd caught someone who had been burglarizing businesses on the south side. When stopped, the thief had a high end mountain bike, and the garage remote controller to the home from which the bike was stolen. And that was the person I saw cuffed on the kerb. The perp was already on probation, and also had meth on his person. Hopefully this time he'll do some real time, but with bail set at only $20K, it's not likely. It's hard to stop that kind of behavior when there's no real punishment, even if you get caught red handed. I also read this morning that authorities are considering making an early CV19 inspired prison release program permanent. And learned that the program even included violent felons. What's this world coming to?

RNG, I meant to ask yesterday. The dodge dump truck, is that yours or the grading crews?

Good morning to all! Low of 37°, going up to 72°, but strong winds throughout the day with gusts approaching 60 mph. Windy all week with varying intensity...... Where is the rain?

The most we got was some extra humidity streaming up from the gulf for about 8 hours.... a little haze, that's it. The humidity reached a whopping 35%. This drought is bad.

The oldest son was off yesterday and helped finish (did the majority) of the metal on the section of fence that was ready. Only 11 more 8' sections to go. Unfortunately, I had miscalculated the materials needed to complete the rest, so going into town this morning to pick up the rest. I guess it's better to have to get more than to have extras sitting around....

Wifey is happy with the progress and is already planning the landscaping that will go along the fence run. Won't be too much, just a few trees and some large planters. Our own little oasis.....

The heart monitor comes off after today. I wonder if it picked up anything abnormal. I would hope that the Dr's office would call if it did.....

Roy, take it easy for sure. Hope the new meds take care of the issue.

You guys are super busy with posting.... need to catch up later.

Everyone have a great day!

34°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 60° today. Looks like we may be around 80° for this weekend. I'm OK with that.

Stopped by the house on after work yesterday to let the dogs out, then headed to Centralia. Traffic problems on the bridge getting out of STL set me back a bit, and I made it there just before they closed at 6pm. I was surprised to find the price considerably lower than the phone quote, and the guy told me they found a different distributor with lower prices. Saved me $30 off each tire. I was OK with that as well. The new tires for the zeroturn have a little more aggressive tread than the originals, which should help on the banks of the pond. Also made a stop at the Ace Hardware in Highland while I was out, and finally got home about 7:15. Long 13-1/2 hour day.

Finished the day farting around in the studio. Ordered the cabinet parts I shorted myself, then played around with some drum tracks on a couple of unfinished recording projects.

It sure is. There is an ongoing situation here in St. Louis with the current prosecuting attorney, who has long been accused of being soft on crime. She's been getting a lot of notoriety lately over the wrist slap she just got over improprieties in her failed case against former MO Governor Eric Greitens. One local radio station aired a story this morning that detailed a pattern of her improprieties. It's hard to imagine this woman still has a law license, much less a government job.

KMOX finds pattern of Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner's office withholding evidence in murder cases

The city of St. Louis has a reputation for violent crime. Little wonder why.

good news Ted on the heart monitor. Yes, no news is good news.

friends finally made it driving out to Washington from DE, lot of snow and high winds out West. I believe there was one pass requiring chains.
They've been here before, and their pictures have made me want to get a motorhome and go see this for myself.
Corn Palace. Mitchell South Dakota. Her grandmother was from Mitchell so a special place for her.
many of you have seen it
supposed to be a worthwhile stop
It costs $130,000 every year for them to cover the outside with murals made of corn.
Twelve different colors of corn are used, each cob cut in half lengthwise and then nailed into place as a mosaic.
