Wow, lots to catch up on....
Race bike is starting to come together. Going to be cutting/drilling/bending aluminum sheet for radiator brackets, electronics pan, and seat mount brackets. Found fuel pump brackets at Speedway Motors along with fuel line fittings that fit. And company in Iowa that makes the radiator has hoses that fit, instead of a cobbled up mess! Also figured out that the fuel system was not really plumbed correctly. It will be now.
Get your steel shoe out of the closet and dusted off!

keep those plugs going Wng, else 3M shares are sure to slip now mask usage has declined
The noise cancelling headphones I use with the Iseki have been playing up recently, so I looked around and decided to treat myself to some end-of-line Sony ones as replacements. Not since I splashed out many weeks of accumulated Saturday job earnings on a pair of Marantz headphones back in the early 70's, have my ears been cosseted by such nice feeling ear cushions. The inbuilt equalizer has allowed me to tune them to have similar performance to my hearing aids - it was an unexpected surprise to hop out of the cab to open a gate and be able to listen to birdsong.
Just to hear the vinyl snap crackle and pop at loud volumes! Koss and AKG for me.
Some of the best headphones I ever bought years and years ago Koss pro 4AA in fact they still sound good and by the way I am a pack rat
I tried (unsuccessfully) to incorporate the Koss speakers into my full face helmet back in the early 80's....I so wanted to play my Sony cassette walkman in my helmet. I think I ruined one of the speaker's wire attachment points or something....long time ago.
No doubt the chain is burred. Once the sprocket is worn, chain tension varies so much it jumps off the bar frequently, burring the drivers. And since the sprockets are made of powdered metal, they're much softer than the chain steel. Bad materials choice on Makita's part. At five bux a piece, it's not that expensive to replace them, but if they don't even last a day, I'll end up going back to my Stihl.
My friend tig welded some hard material into the grooves, then ground them flat with a dremel type stone.
You’ve obviously never had my homemade biscuits or southern style cornbread.
Long ago, America started putting vitamins A+D into bread and milk IIRC. A small amount of vit A helps keep your eyes healthy and other things better too. 3rd world countries still have simple health problems because of lack of these two vital vitamins....that being said, I love bread. Especially soft warm homemade straight out of the oven.
LONG WEEKEND- filled with family, friends, faith and fellowship. I was off Friday thru today (Monday). Busy busy. I needed to go to my home town down south to pick up my mother. Invited my daughter, and she invited her teenage girlfriend.... On the way down I called my buddy and said I'd like to visit with him for a few hours if he had time. Warned him I had 2 teenagers with me. He laughed. I asked the girls what they wanted to eat, and they both replied in unison "SEAFOOD". Called my buddy back, and asked if he wanted to eat seafood and he said "yes, let's go to Cathy's in Port O'connor Texas". I hung up and told the girls where we were going and daughters friend was so happy, she nearly cried. She explained her grandfather had an RV down there, and since she was 4, they'd go eat at Cathy's. She hadn't eaten there in a long time since Harvey destroyed the RV and grandpaw is now in a resthome. We all had a good time, came back to Victoria and picked up mom 320 mile round trip, Got home just before dark, got the hangry wifey some pizza, and then got on the STEINER BEAST!!! Man, that thing is a mowing machine! It could be a little bit faster in slow gear, or slower in high gear. But it gets the job done! I did have two hiccups. My daughter had mowed on the other rider 10 days ago or so, and I thought I heard her hit a rock.....well, it was dark when I was mowing and I hit it again. Wow, almost the size of a baseball. I was so fortunate, it hit the underpinning down low on my home. It hit with enough force, it could have easily went through any window, had it hit one. Other hiccup was I was nearly done, and decided to mow along our county road in the "bar ditch"....I got about 40 feet and she ran out of diesel. It gave no warning. Just like turning off the key. Of course I had NO diesel in any can, so I had to head down to the gas station and get some $4.45/gallon at about 9:45 pm. I was worried about how much trouble I would have getting it primed. I turned the key and let the electric fuel pump run about 30 seconds and then turned it the rest of the way and after about 5 seconds, the Kubota 905 cranked up. I was worried because this ditch will flood if we get a heavy rainstorm and I didn't want to leave it there all night.
Saturday, I needed to change the oil in 2 cars. I got one side jacked up, but noticed my floor jack was low on hydraulic oil, as it wouldn't jack very high. So I turned the jack over and pulled out the little rubber plug where you add oil. The rubber plug tore in half.

Ordered some more 8mm ones on Amazon. So I had to park the 28 year old jack, and use the Impala's stock jack with my 1/2" drive Milwaukee impact. Sprayed some lube on it's threads. Works almost better than the floor jack. I need to put some fresh O-rings on the roll around floor jack. It only came with 1 oring stock, and I put a 2nd oring groove on the piston years ago to help it seal better. The orings need replacement. Got both cars done with Mobil 1 extended life and AC Delco oil filters for $35 each including tax. I believe our local shop charges about $100 for a synthetic oil change. Watered the garden. Put the baby chickens in the outside pen I built. They were already able to jump out of an 18" high box.....and poop on my son's bedroom carpet....twice and they were put outside. The pen is totally covered with chicken wire except the bottom.
Easter Sunday - got up and went with wifey, son, and daughter to church at 8 am to eat the breakfast that the men's group prepares. The 3 of them attended 9 am service. Then we all helped out putting out over 700 Easter eggs for kids at church. I then took my mom to 11 am service. She's 92 and doesn't care for the upbeat contemporary music. Note to self, take her to 9am next year, if she's still with us. My wifey made this huge, wonderful homemade chicken pot pie in a big aluminum tin. It was great! Also a nice strawberry "fluff" dessert. Around 5pm I headed back south to take my mom home. I was so tired, I spent the night at her house, and did not get much sleep for a 3rd night in a row.
Nice speaker cabinets guys. Popgadget, I know they are for bass, but about how high of frequency will they play? They look like they are just a horn/tweeter away from being some high quality studio monitors. Paul, I'm glad you like yours too.
Monday- I got up this morning, had breakfast with a friend down sputh and then came home. My daughter had taken the cover screws out of the Lincoln "A/C tombstone" welder. It was given to me a few years back. I was right, it had multiple mud dauber nests in it. Got it cleaned up and put back together, but haven't tried it out yet. Hope it works. Could use a nice paint job, if it works...
Resting up now and catching up on TBN. Sounds like many had a good weekend.
Tomorrow back to work and back to school for the kids.
Prayers for our team, our country, and for Ukraine.
