Finally decided to try a set of Bluetooth hearing protectors (3M, Eric). Man, are they nice...much better sound protection than my old cracking ones, and the Bluetooth worked well...I was surprised how well I could hear the music, not turned up loud, while doing the 2nd complete mow of the season

(y) keep those plugs going Wng, else 3M shares are sure to slip now mask usage has declined :)

The noise cancelling headphones I use with the Iseki have been playing up recently, so I looked around and decided to treat myself to some end-of-line Sony ones as replacements. Not since I splashed out many weeks of accumulated Saturday job earnings on a pair of Marantz headphones back in the early 70's, have my ears been cosseted by such nice feeling ear cushions. The inbuilt equalizer has allowed me to tune them to have similar performance to my hearing aids - it was an unexpected surprise to hop out of the cab to open a gate and be able to listen to birdsong.

good morning all
thermometer says 28, not good for some plants, colder than predicted
nice day around 52 and then over an inch of rain tonight.
15 inches in a month is just amazing David. Too bad you can't pipe some to NM...

early appt with endocrinologist, then getting fitted for a mouth guard at dentist.
After all of that, likely a quiet afternoon, doing wash and planning for nice weather ahead.

Good morning, low temp is 26 and going to a high of 46°F. Wind E 6 mph. Partly cloudy.

Easter dinner/supper was turkey with dressing inside the bird for me. Son only stuffs the neck and that is plenty for just me.
Todays dinner/supper for them is lamb (have I mentioned how much I don't like lamb), left over turkey for me. I only like the dark meat which works out perfect as they only like the white meat. I will have the drumbstick for breakfast and the thigh for supper.

Tomorrow I will be out of here by 6 A.M. so no posts until I get back on Saturday or Sunday. I will load up the Dodge today. Not much to load, just a carton of cigarettes (**** to you Brits), my kit bag and phone.

Speaking of foods from other countries, my daughter in law turned me on to mushy peas. I like them better than north American peas, they stay on the knife better.
I eat my peas with honey, I've done it all my life, it makes the peas taste funny, but it keeps them on the knife. 🤣 🤣

Have a safe day all

Good Morning.
It’s 29 with frost on the ground, and a high of 50. This morning’s clear skies will turn to ran by late afternoon.

Had a great breakfast and visit with the family yesterday, then over to the shop go make more speaker progress. I’ve got 4 of them completed to the point where they just need to be tested and have the grills installed.

Someone came from Wilkes Barre, about two hours away to buy the 3 Point post hole digger that I listed on Facebook Marketplace about 4 days ago. I have had pretty good luck both buying and selling on that platform.

Today, I’ll get the speakers completed and start packing and shipping them. One is only going to NJ, and will get picked up.

I might have to go up to Allentown this morning, but hopefully I can handle it by phone.

Good morning! 58˚F, a weak cold front brought the temps down 20˚ the high will be only in the mid 70s, nice while it last, but as always in a few days the prevailing south winds from the Gulf of Mexico will bring Summer temps back.
We have only had an inch of rain the last month my water usage alert already went off on the 15th so for the rest of the month the water our rate per gallon will be higher.

The challenge for today is to try to connect my wife's laptop to the projector and borrow some bluetooth speakers for a WFPB meeting later this week. Also have to check to make sure the wifi signal in the amenity building is working on her equipment is fast enough to stream.

Good Morning!!!! 45F @ 5:00AM. Partly cloudy skies this morning will become overcast during the afternoon. High 69F. Winds SSE at 10 to 20 mph.
Looks like rain will start again tonight, continuing on and off through Friday. Yet in all that time, only an inch will accumulate. I'd gladly send it all to New Mexico and Texas if I could.

I managed to get one burn pile fired off yesterday, but it was slow going. It seems the tarp that was covering part of it half way blew off, and the rest of it was pretty soggy after two inches of rain. After most of an hour, only part of it was smoldering. A while back I asked the dozer operator where he recycles his used oil, and he said he uses it on his burn piles. I had a few gallons of Kubota's super expensive Super UDT2 left from the last oil change on the tractor, so dumped it on and things immediately improved. At twenty-five bux a gallon, I was happy to get a bit more use out of it.

Once the pile burned down, I started limbing the downed trees from another pile, and kept the fire going for the rest of the day. I put a dent in that other pile, but not much of one, so I'll keep at it today. I was using the little electric Makita chainsaw, and toward the end of the day the chain tension was jumping all over the place again. I'm guessing that the sprocket is worn out again, this time after only three battery changes.

Hope everyone's week gets off to a smooth start...
