good morning all
23 going up to 43, windy day

whole day consumed by morning and afternoon zoom training meetings about being the Clerk (head) of Quaker Meeting. I took these classes 20 years ago but after all the upset
at last church meeting regarding masking, figured I'd better do it again. Have been reading for several hours getting prepared.
I had to chuckle at one of the big admonitions. Do not be a fixer. Let the committees do the work.
I think about our bunch of TBN folks here and being a fixer sort of comes with the territory. However skills on the mowers do not translate to skills in church...

Local Kubota dealer had four tractors in their lot yesterday, big improvement over zero.

It's the weekend, hope some of you are sleeping in.

Dump is still closed and, apparently, will no longer accept construction debris of any sort. That won't affect me, but it's gonna piss some people off. No reason given yet...

Got some work-related things to do, may as well jump on that...

Good morning! 24 now, high is supposed to be 32. Maybe some light snow today.

I have been up for a while as well. Bladder and hungry cats were my undoing.

@Looking4new, you are doing the right thing by running that diesel hard. Emissions diesels have to be run hard for the after treatment systems to work. The ECU runs the system based on throttle position and horsepower (heat). If the after treatment system doesn’t get hot, it doesn’t function. That leads to problems. IME, engines run hard and not abused, have the least amount of issues with emissions systems.

Guess I have learned way more about diesels with emissions systems than I ever wanted to know.

Not sure what mischief I will get into today. I will find something.

Good afternoon, another day that is a lot more enjoyable from the inside looking out. A quick trip to get more firewood gave great dollops of wannabe snow the ideal opportunity to slap me in the face

Cleaned the woodstove and started a nice warm fire...always looks so sharp after cleaning the front glass door.

Wng, what do you use to clean it with ?
Breathing on the glass to steam it up, followed by a few vigorous rubs with a sheet of crumpled newspaper is my first choice - only reason we buy the paper instead of reading it online !

Well, the prediction for <1" of snow was wrong...we're up to 1½" and snow is coming down hard and steady

Missed the PO run yesterday so can’t forget that this morning.

Continuing my shelving today. Possibly some convenience shelves at vanity. I didn’t do a medicine chest so some toiletries storage near sink would be helpful.

Nice and sunny today. 52° out currently. Was 26° at 8am when I took the pooch for her first walk of the day.

Got some friends coming over tonight for BBQ and a few adult beverages.

Got 14lbs of country ribs on the smoker. Hit them with some Butt Rub, and smoking with natural lump oak charcoal and mesquite firewood.

Will doctor them up with some sweet baby rays and tinfoil to finish them in the oven around 1:30.

Here in the west tip of KY Winter and spring are still duking it out and spring is winning more rounds. Thursday it was 60F with 6 inches of hard rain temps dropping below freezing after the moisture moved out so no ice storm like the prior Thursday.

I was in Mayfield a couple times this week but not down town and the tornado results still boggles my mind.
