Good Morning!!!! 48F @ 5:15AM. A mix of clouds and sun. High around 60F. Winds light and variable.
Still no rain in the 10-day. All too much like Groundhog Day.
If I had to pick the ultimate muscle car, Fuddy952, that Chevelle would be at the top of the list. That's not a bad Nova, though.
How do they get the numbers out of the wool at shearing time, Eric?
Looks like you might have some good sledding hills there, Buppies.
I don't know the answer to your question, Bruce, but I do know that the Subaru engine makes almost 50% more horsepower than the stock VW engine. My guess is that once I wiggle enough wires, I'll find the cause of the starting problem. I have already found and fixed a LOT of poorly made connections.
There was a delivery notice Friday for a letter that required a signature, and when I traced it, it came from the same town as the flaky solar contractor. I got an email from him the same day demanding payment. I wished him good luck with that, at least until he fixes the problems he caused. He seems to be one of those people that think repeating a lie often enough turns it into the truth.
Swapping out the firewood pallet turned out to be a little easier than I thought it would, in that I only had to move two motorcycles. But when I went to hook up the hydraulic lines on the grapple again, one wouldn't lock. Ended up taking both halves off, and still couldn't get them to lock, so it wasn't a pressure problem. Finally managed to get enough leverage on the collar on the female side to get it to lock, but even after several trips through the parts washer, there must be something jammed in there that's binding. And when there's no male fitting in it, it doesn't seal back up all the way, either:
There's some fine print on the thing that says "Summit Hydraulics", so I'll call them today to see what they have to say about it.
All that horsing around pretty much finished the day, except for a beer on the back porch watching the sunset. Before it went down, I had a view of both it and the rising full moon. Somehow though, the moon never comes out as big as it looks whenever I try to take a picture of it.
Believe it or not, FedEx did deliver the last box of brake parts yesterday, but not before sending me an email to let me know they were delaying delivery until today. It seems one hand doesn't know what the other is doing at that company. Regardless, I know what I'll be doing today.
Hope everyone's week gets off to a great start.
