Just the 3 pods I picked. Probably a little early. The pods will have 2-3 Buckeyes inside. I want to plant some to see if I can get a tree to grow.

Also picked up a few hickory nuts.

Buckeyes are suppose to bring you luck. One football team must not have picked any up.

A short little vid of the earthworks on the new barn site. The guy in the Yanmar requested a copy. He was very interested in the drone. There was close to a meter fall on the site. It was pretty easy digging overall.

My sister called sheriff regarding trespassers on the farm. A deputy came out and rode back and had a look around. He suggested maybe they had marijuana growing somewhere.

That's common in our area but it's call hippie hay.

Just came in for a quick cool down - I'm soaked and sweating like a pig.

Neighbor who brought us the peach trees was down a little bit ago, brought us some Rose of Sharon that she thinned out, still has more to go apparently ... so even more holes to drill ...

She gets a redbud tree and some of the large blue-green hostas in return.

Finished up the rest of the holes for the forsythia, also got two more holes drilled for the redbud volunteers that will get transplanted. One of them over on the west side by the magnolia was particularly tough and took quite a while - was like drilling in concrete.

Moved sprayer around back and brought over 65 gallon tank for refilling.

Also gathered up tree trimmings along road that I cut yesterday and hauled those up to the burn pile:

Time to go refill feeders and start filling the watering tank.

Was right around 19:00.

Fresh corn on the cob, oven-baked pork chops served over rice using a recipe that uses Lipton Onion Soup mix and Coca-Cola.

Good evening all. 64F for the start, clear sky, light breeze. Light wind today, sky became partly cloudy and high temp was 87F, HI 93F and DP 67F. Rain gone for Tuesday / Wednesday, now a week out again. Choir had meeting this morning, half have dropped out, most are not coming back at all. We will try to move practice to Tuesday night to get more participation. Bike ride next then lunch and nap. Trying to help wife find her meatloaf recipe, no joy so looked at about 10 recipes in various cookbooks and on line to piece one together.
Covid update: Cooke 3810 confirmed cases, 94 active cases, Montague 2278 confirmed cases, 82 active cases, Grayson, 13773 confirmed cases, 335 active cases. Cooke 0, Montague 0, Grayson 0, new cases.
