Good morning!!!!

got an email from head of house and grounds opining there was a cement film over the newly applied flagstones and grout.
Well that would be me...and yeah, we hadn't washed it off yet, giving it a week to dry. So that started to bug me and off I went back
to church and washed and lightly scrubbed the flagstones. Found a few errors to fix.
Tough audience...
but very appreciative.

getting warmer out, might leave the hole digging for early tomorrow morning.

Wednesday is six months after I ordered my new Ridgeline. I emailed sales manager and told him if he couldn't give me a build date by end of day
Wednesday, to cancel my order and refund my deposit.

The challenge of course is that nice used loaded 30k Ranger is now 40k.

67°F and .05 inches rain

Scag has its new seat belt. New carburetor has the old Craftsman running much better. More so than the tune up kit. Have a couple more things to address as I put it back together.

Small Happy Hour gathering this afternoon up at a neighbor’s. I’m grilling some Top Sirlion.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

78F and partly cloudy @ 12:30, they are calling for mainly cloudy with a high of 85F and only a 1% chance of precipitation. Highs in the 80's persist throughout the Ten Day, save for this coming Wednesday when the rain comes in.

Slept like a rock.

Plans for today:

Feed downstairs fish (overdue)

Refill bird feeders.

Water potted stuff around back.

Fill 65 gallon leg tank on pallet.

Finish up drilling planting holes for forsythias, and possibly other stuff ... assuming decisions can be made as to where.

Put on pallet forks and fish PHD stand out of the barn and bring it over to the house.

May move Country Mfg. dump cart and some other items out of there too, just to have more room to maneuver around inside and get things straightened up.

Still more spraying to do and tomorrow looks like a good day for it, so probably move sprayer around back and mix up another tank and get it filled.

Tomorrow is trash day, so hopefully can get The Woman to do a full clean out on the refrigerator and get all that hauled up to the can along with the normal stuff.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day ... (y)

Buckeye, glad trip went well. Did you bring any Buckeyes home?
.

Just the 3 pods I picked. Probably a little early. The pods will have 2-3 Buckeyes inside. I want to plant some to see if I can get a tree to grow.

Also picked up a few hickory nuts.

done my labs, enjoying my breakfast. Of course they told me this morning I didn't have to fast.... :sneaky:

Of course ... ;)

lovely day out this morning, but going to be warming up steadily.
Have three or four holes to dig, manually. Wish I had RS's auger...sure does make it easier and you always make a big enough hole, not the often
too small ones you dig by yourself.

Wish you were closer, I'd be happy to swing by and drill them for you.

Hope you can keep that "tough audience" happy ... ;)

Dennis, that cemetery looks super peaceful
.

It really needed mowed, but with all the rain lately grass is growing like crazy.
Needs some maintenance also, a few old stones have fallen over. Don’t believe it’s vandalism, just some of the old narrow ones.

Dad hasn’t gotten a stone for the grave, he wants us to get one after he goes.

Notice the bathroom out back. A one seater.

My sister called sheriff regarding trespassers on the farm. A deputy came out and rode back and had a look around. He suggested maybe they had marijuana growing somewhere. Very isolated area.
Or they could have been hunting ginseng out of season. Very popular here for people to look for it, along with morels in the spring.

The friend with the cellular camera, who discovered them, changed his camera to send pics immediately.

I wouldn't get very far with that two foot auger in the rocky soil here, RS. I forget, do you have a backhoe to help with that large chunk of sandstone?

I do: it's a Kubota BH4972B

But I'm hoping the rock isn't all that large and can be dug out with the stump/shrub bucket ... which is a lot easier to put on.

But I also remember the one me and old man dug out of the front yard ... it had a section about the size of football or a little less showing at the surface.

Ended up being over 3' long and probably better than 18" in diameter.

We dug that one out with just shovels and a pick.

Would not want to do that again ... :)

RS, great job on the holes...

Thanks.

at first I was wondering why you were planting oaks under a power line, but reread and learned they're for forsythias...nice choice.

Yeah ... they should stay small enough that they won't be a problem.

Some of our lilacs are blooming now...strange since they are spring time flowers...but we pruned some forsythia back earlier in the summer that were overgrowing on them during the spring.

Nice.

We have not had great luck with our lilacs here, not sure exactly what the problem is, but they don't seem to be thriving.

Possibly not enough sun and/or water.

Took yesterday as an R&R day...energy conservation.

Need those every one in a while ... (y)

Good morning! 73 now, near 85 later. Was a bit humid riding in this morning.

BEF that picture reminds me of so many little churches and cemeteries found on the back roads of SE Ohio. Thanks for posting.

Everyone stay safe out there!

Thanks, I posted it in the SE Ohio picture group I have on FB.
I posted a picture recently of an old train tunnel up your way, found the picture on another site.
