Weather not being cooperative. 1140 and raining so even if it stopped it wouldn’t dry out enough no matter how sunny.
So, slowing wiring outlets in the caretaker unit.

Yes, RNG, she has seen the progress since 1st visit. A bit of background. She is a disabled Army Vet, in some sort of VA program. Don’t have a lot of details and this day and age unsure what I can even ask directly. She came highly recommended by my neighbor, having picked coffee for him last year. Her current housing situation is changing this fall, hence the attractiveness of my offer. She goes back to DC for VA so flexibility is a factor. Fortunately her Mom works for the airlines so she gets flight benefits. Have to say, I’m impressed with her work ethic so far. Today she sent a text saying she’d like to learn/help do some of the studio construction stuff. Have to think about that as I pretty much plan my work as a solo performer except Sophie lending a hand when needed. We have also discussed she may take advantage of our space and do some ag stuff on her own based on some university ag courses. She’s doubtful of being able to return to what we might consider full time regular appointment other than supplementing her VA. She and Sophie get along quite well and she is an animal person, even being corrective with my sometimes rambunctious pup.

Morning all, been a busy weekend, got tree all cut up using 20" bar.
Split some rounds, many to go.
Pool almost fully cleaned. Bought a pump 2 years ago during last flood event. Works good but slow going. About 7 hours to get 90% of the dirt and debris out.
Got AC for apartment fixed. 2 bad connectors, replaced and fan started, compressor going, all good. Looks like when they installed it they used cheap spade connectors.
Sons birthday tomorrow-he is going to Princeton today to meet up with some friends

Mostly - happy anniversary and many more
Gumbo and Jambalaya are only way I eat Okra
Corn husked and wrapped in tin foil on the grill for 10-15 minutes, upper shelf on the grill for us.
Pennwalk- I have the M18 trimmer and pole saw. I like both but they max out at 1 hour or less with the 8AH XC battery.
Welcome to GM Willy
Eric-still miss my Old Peugeot and my old Fuji race bikes. Peugeot was stolen and Fuji rusted under my fathers care. I still have 5 bikes.
Sodamo- possible tenant sounds good, hope it all works out for you and her

stay safe and be well

20" bar makes a big difference, but still need more power. This is typical size for the last 7 Ash we took down.

Last nights music event.

We had a good time. Band really did do a good job of being a tribute band. Did the show in 2 segments, Bon Scott era, the Brian Johnson era. Big crowd for the local area.

The drummer which I have known for a long time came up to say hello on break. My wife was shocked he found time to say hello.

Maybe be an odd connection, friend of mine from Indy knew Bon Scott. He assures me the stories are true.

Been a lazy day. Weather has been nice. Some rain over night.

Worked on the race bike some today. It May run sooner rather than later…

EveRhône stay safe out there

Fairly lazy day here as well.

Got Menards order placed and it is ready for pick up ... then promptly discovered another item I had forgotten to order (glass block mortar ...)

Took Chapin spreader and core aerator around back to hose off, will do tomorrow.

Started constructing path through the woods for The Woman over to her friend's house. Got that about half done up to the creek ... but it wasn't like there was all the much to do ... drop landscape rake and go ... ;)

Refueled Kubota.

Used grapple to tear out upper landscape timber retaining wall and took that up to the burn pile.

Then I took grapple off and stored it in the pole barn, put light material bucket back on.

Finished adding screened compost to hosta bed behind shop. It needs mulched ... but I won't do that until I've pressure washed the back wall. Hostas there are really taking off ... (y)

Need to mix up gallon or so of Trimec tomorrow in the hand pump sprayer and spray the lawn next to that planting bed behind the shop to see if I can keep the Creeping Charlie and other nasties at bay.

Was 70F and fair @ 20:30, high hit 78F today. Showers early and then a nice warm up and breeze out of the northwest. Heading down to a low of 57F. Based on surrounding stations, it looks like we might have gotten 0.25" to 0.50" of rain overnight ...

24 Hour average soil temp is down to 70.2F.

Ten Day looking good, highs in the upper 70's/low 80's and only one day with a chance of rain over 50% ... (y)

Headed down to feed the fish and downstairs cat here in a few.

Hope everyone had a great day.

Good evening all. 74F for the start, light breeze, mostly clear sky. Sky clouded up, win light to moderate, and high temp was 87F HI 94F and DP 71F. Front came through, no rain, lower humidity starting tomorrow. Low humidity forecast to last a week. Chapel to start the day, then made wife's breakfast, then conserved energy for rear of day. No nap :(
Covid update: Cooke 3693 confirmed cases, 78 active cases, Montague 2183 confirmed cases, 86 active cases, Grayson, 13482 confirmed cases, 351 active cases. Cooke 0, Montague 0, Grayson 0, new cases.

good morning all and happy labor day.
looks to be a nice day, sunny and up to low 80's.
I might be back grouting flagstone today at church if the other guys show up.
this time I'm wearing heavy blue jeans; two hours on my bare knees last time left for sore knees.
That plus a sweat band and I'm good to go.

Ken, was thinking about those huge log rounds you are working on, hope your back is ok.
Did I see a grapple on your Massey?

Waiting for first cup of coffee to cool. 57° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 76° with lots of sunshine. Grass got mowed yesterday. Off to Menards to pick up some lumber for installing door I made a couple weeks ago. Not sure I will get started on that project today.
Hummingbirds are at feeder almost all the time. Must be getting ready to head south.

Rich, good tribute band picture.

Ken, that a lot of wood to cut and move.

Popgadget, looks like the whole herd is visiting you.

Wngsprd, good you got your trial hike in.

Everyone stay safe healthy.

Good Morning All.

58° right now...high in the low 70's and maybe some storms...

Neighbor's son came over and put those forks on the frame. I was out back with Margeaux...didn't even know he was here. I owe that boy a beer!!
Couple hours, I'm going to remove the pallet forks and get the bucket back on the loader.
No real plans today...just take it as it comes, I reckon

Enjoy your Labor Day, Team!!

73 and rain...gonna get sunny and up to 85.

Ken, that's quite the big tree. Lots of hard work there.

Ron, my wife and I noticed fewer hummingbirds yesterday, so think many of the males have left. I used your technique on corn last night on the grill...it was perfect! I also grilled some zucchini and 3 types of heirloom okra.

Did some pole saw work (Don, it was cedar amputation, not cedarcide) and ran my battery dead on the string trimmer after a few hours.

Enjoy your day!
