Our Whole Food Market in Austin did not have it also.
Finding it is hard since the tree will freeze even in southern Florida it has to be exported. We finally found some canned and frozen jackfruit in an Asian World Market in Austin. The canned jackfruit is the best for these sandwiches. They are now my favorite sandwich.

...he could be sipping vegan wine next to a glowing, cozy fire.

Dave,

Is there a Meat-atarian Wine? I might like to try that LOL... :D

... MossFlower hope you get the news you've been hoping for and wood stove problem clears up

Buppies,

The good news is coming I'm pretty sure. I've never in my career had this many people talking to me bout work, one of them will pop soon...

The wood-stove is a whole 'nother mess... This house is a disaster and my instincts to bulldoze it were spot on, but too expensive... sigh... Unless one of my VA TBN neighbors can come over an weld shut the leaks I'm dealing with, plus help with sealing the door, it seems that regardless how well it works MOST of the time, it may just be too risky until I'm stone cold broke and power is out etc...

It is too easy to just decide my life stinks, seems to me it is just a whole different level of challenging than I've ever experienced before and that is the direction I am taking with this...

Thanks for thinking of me.

Be well all,
David

Good morning all. 26F this morning, cloudy light breeze. Forecast for some clearing and 41F. Christmas lights, found some more firewood to process, door handle on my truck, and try a bike ride. 40 is about the lower limit for my biking clothes.

Dave (Moss), on the wood heat, I use wood size/amount to control the fire in my fireplace as it is not airtight. I think if an outside draw can be rigged up it will help as well.

Ron glad you had a safe trip and now in TX.

Good Afternoon. 1400. partly cloudy, 78F with 63% humidity. Forecast high of 79F {which it was a few minutes ago when I first started reading the comments} with 10% chance of rain this afternoon, and a low of 53F tonight. I wore shorts and a T-shirt to work again. I'm going to keep on as long as the weather allows it.

My boss has a Doctor's appointment, so I have office relief this afternoon. That meant my trip to Marianna was a couple of hours earlier than usual. Last week I found a Lodge cast iron griddle for $3.00 in one of the thrift stores. No such treasures today.

Hope everyone is having a good day,

Larro

got a nice call from the doc's office, these ladies are so pleasant..., and my xray came back negative. No screws had fallen out of my "hardware" as they call it, and yes, I did have a lot of inflammation. Other than feeling slightly goofy, not sure what the muscle relaxant is doing but need to give it time. Still hurts but no steak knife in the neck feeling. I consider that a serious improvement.

I guess I need more time in the hot tub. Perhaps with my favorite floating rubber tractor.
Although perhaps it is time to think about upping my game. Before I completely fall apart.
It's been a year...
Let's see, rubber tractor or? :D

perhaps an adoring female on the other side of the hot tub wouldn't be so bad.
problem is so often they stop adoring...but perhaps that's just due to my very long list of
grievous personality faults. Your results may vary. And thankfully have.

Although I am dying to know if RSwyan's long suffering wife knows he calls her cupcake online.
Maybe that's the secret...

Got it by freezing rain and the roads are slippery. Cold at 28 degrees. Finished the twin hot water tanks so lets have a pic.

did you personally do that copper work? boy that looks nice. And good large ID pipe.
Nice long shower with that setup for sure.
do you have to have some kind of smoke/heat detection device nearby by some code? single/double wall fire rated sheetrock?
Code is so different from one place to another.

Yes I did the copper job.
I did this for my wife's jet tub.
Don't get where your going on that. Sorry. Its just a gas hot water tanks in the mechanical room. Its plumbed to run either, or and both tanks as needed.

ah, the mechanical room is likely built to code. I have the option of converting my electric hot water heaters to propane, but didn't know if that meant a special enclosure.

These newer tanks have enclosed burners. They don't get hot on outside walls

29F and cloudy, damp, wet ... the predicted "warm up" hasn't occurred quite like they said it was going to ...

Just got the furnace cranked up ... didn't load it this morning just prior to going to bed like I should have ... temp in the house is down to 65F ... it's crankin' now though.

HVAC guys called ... gas valve for the furnace is in, they will be out to install it tomorrow.

Need to make a trip to The Depot tonight to return some stuff and pick up some stainless fasteners for the light bars.

Also need to move the ballast block out of the shop (assuming the temp ever makes it above freezing) so I can pull the Kubota in and do the 1600 hour service.

Drew,

After some 30-odd years she knows me pretty well ...

How else can you explain her asking the other day - completely out of the blue - for me to delete the pictures of where a dog bit her on her butt a couple of years ago off my iPhone ?

The problem isn't so much calling her cupcake online, as it is calling her that (or anything else) to her face ... gotta kinda watch the circumstances and timing on those ...

(She absolutely hates being addressed as "Honey" ... by anyone ... but particularly complete strangers ... just a little too familiar ...)

murph,

Nice install ...

   / Good morning!!!! #27,300
Murph nice install there. Looks like you've worked with copper before. It's all PVC in my area. Why copper?

Rs watch where you put your foot. If I want to make my wife's blood boil all I have to say is "Woman" or better yet "Now woman".

Drew watch those good looking young women they can be both good and bad for you.
