Good morning!!!!

Got the 4” saw today, took about 10 minutes to assemble, no instructions of course, but easy. Adjuster the chain tension and oiled, sounds good. Once the batteries are charged we will try it out and let you all know.

I found 41% glyphosate in a brand called shop and save, at Hone Depot and Tractor Supply. At HD it’s $24.95 gal. At TS it’s on sale for 19.95 gal. I’ve been paying $44.95 for Farm Works at TS. needless to say I ordered a bunch.

Looks like the rain is done, we got 2.39” total in about 18 hours. 76° now and still cloudy.

Picked up the scalloped bricks and unloaded them from the trailer. Now I just have to spray the grass, put down fabric, trench in the bricks and put the stone in and rake it out, and I’ll be all finished.

Randy, sorry about your outside kitty.

Eeees hot. No cab. humidity almost pushes me out of the tractor seat.

Taking a break. Son and I first mowed the lawn and I got stuck on the weedeater for over an hour. Been on the tractor for a few hours. Slow going. Grass is high and thick.

nasty weather forecast has now really improved, sun trying to come out
might have to go take a walk in a bit and enjoy this July day.

I hope the fireworks companies are back in full production to get the holiday festivities looking nice.
And no more huge explosions like RNG mentioned.
Or as I remember from the Bruce Willis movie Fifth Element, Big Badda Boom
To anyone near that truck, Big Badda Boom indeed.

Big difference from a year ago when we were all trying to hide from each other.
I also hope most of the little towns can get back to having their parades.

those little augers can be used for all kinds of things. Maybe making a Texas size milkshake?
Preferably without the microbes.

looked up the GE stove I ordered today from small local store and turns out it was exactly one hundred dollars more
than at Lowes or Home Depot. Most of these folks in this very competitive business deliver and take away the old one at no cost.
But it always pays to ask. My local guy will do it all and just put in the new dishwasher a couple of months back.
When I lived outside this area I always used Sears for appliances. We all know what happened to them.
So now that I'm back home, I'm going to keep on paying a little more to support the local business, since
I owned two of them locally for many years. These are the people who will come out with a smile on a Sunday on the hottest day in August
and fix your refrigerator before your son's birthday ice cream cake melts.

8 to 10 week delay on a basic white electric stove. Have we fallen out of the First World?
Well this will be third thing I'm waiting on. Truck, mower, stove.
At some point one runs out of patience.
Thankfully I think I'm happy and reasonably well adjusted.
Others might not be...and I worry about the general psychological well being of our fellow citizens.
Good things folks are back to work, economy and inflation roaring away, but I still think recent years
have been emotionally extra hard on folks, the spirit of community tested in ways we've only known during war.
I'm hopeful the newly returned ability to give hugs will help that spirit of community.

The good thing is you don’t need those items and do have the luxury to wait. Not that it helps the patience.

Safety first

Able to get the existing bolts retightened using thin visegrips. Got that last hour of rough flail mowing.

Off to the PO as my new belts may have come in early. Then off to Fastenal this afternoon for new bolts. And treat Sophie to meal out.

Mine's a Lagun, but close enough. What's yours?

Mine’s a Bridgeport with power x axis only, but it does have DRO in all 3 axis’ as well as on the quill. I added a VFD a couple years ago. I found this one in a prototype shop for a drug company, and it was hardly used. My old one was pretty worn.

Hand is pretty messed up swelling bruises and several layers of skin gone looks nasty. Because of medications I take dehydration is always very close so lots of water and salt pills must be taken. I have literally gone blind for periods of time twice and two ambulance rides. Cool cars you folks have had.

66 Ford fairlane with 390 GT, 66 Mustang convertible 6 cylinder, TR6 1973, 1979 CJ 7 304 with 4 speed, Toyota four runners 5 I think. Now mostly into European cars one 911 2014 very nice. Wife and I like fast cars even today. Her car has 577hp mine 557hp

my favorite was an XF Jag with super charged V8 4 door 475hp. Three Range rovers and F type Jag convertible with 385 HP and an XJL. Stuck on Jag for a while
You might be interested in this story? The coolest Jaguar X-Type you've probably never heard of
