Good morning!!!!

RNG from my experience with a long lay the temperature is a vital factor. The temperature difference from the early morning to the heat of the afternoon will have an effect on the expansion and contraction of the pipe/tubing before you bury it. On my lay I started in the morning and that afternoon it expanded and snaked out of the trench by the heat of the afternoon. I had to wait till the next morning when it got cooler and the pipe un-snaked and settled back in the trench.
Thanks for the head's up, Don, it makes perfect sense. The 10-day is still showing temps in the low 100s every day, so I better plan on taking several mornings to bury sections while they're still cool, then stop before they warm up. The first inspection is an open trench leak check, so I'll leave the ends disconnected with plenty of spare pipe so as to dodge the snake...;)

Today is going to be amazing

We just have to make it so Mo.

Just picked a whole bucket of beets, good haul, all still pretty small so the greens still look ok
though clearly getting beat up by the recent heat. Have to go clean them in the sink and will take a pic before
I wrap them up. Going to my SIL who I hope will send some back to me in a Tupperware.

MMMM Beet Burgers.
We put the 3 beets with their greens in the instant pot, after they are done they go in the food processor with the other ingredients and then we make patties.

they look good Don and ingredients are pretty easy, think I have everything but white beans.
I tend to mix a little ground flax seed in these kinds of dishes.
Consistency is so important, chewy vs goopy. I tend to overcook them trying to not have them
taste too "wet"

68F and "mostly cloudy" but the sun is actually shining pretty brightly here. Headed up to a high of 71F. Almost seems more like late September than July ... not to worry though: it will be up in the 90's in a couple of days.

Got some more gluing of pvc done last night, also fed two containers of white worms.

Started two new cultures of banana worms a few days ago, those might be harvestable in the next day or two. Have one S. fryeri female that is currently holding that needs stripped.

I think refilling hopper and sunflower tube feeders is on the menu first thing.

Then more pvc gluing.

Followed by getting the lawn down here around the house mowed.

Still need to finish backfilling neighbor's electrical trench.

After that, who knows ... ? ... there are so many possibilities to choose from ...

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day.

69°F and .07 inches rain. Sun shiny morning.

Guys lost again at H&F last night, but still lead series 7-6. The gals are really looking forward to next week. The stuffed salmon was delicious and John and I got to spend the night with a winner.

Hoping I can get another hour or so from my existing flail belts, but will mount my new ABC fire extinguisher first.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

You can always just add a bit more oats if they are too wet.

Aerating the compost bin. Go forth and multiply microbes.

those little augers can be used for all kinds of things. Maybe making a Texas size milkshake?
Preferably without the microbes.

looked up the GE stove I ordered today from small local store and turns out it was exactly one hundred dollars more
than at Lowes or Home Depot. Most of these folks in this very competitive business deliver and take away the old one at no cost.
But it always pays to ask. My local guy will do it all and just put in the new dishwasher a couple of months back.
When I lived outside this area I always used Sears for appliances. We all know what happened to them.
So now that I'm back home, I'm going to keep on paying a little more to support the local business, since
I owned two of them locally for many years. These are the people who will come out with a smile on a Sunday on the hottest day in August
and fix your refrigerator before your son's birthday ice cream cake melts.

8 to 10 week delay on a basic white electric stove. Have we fallen out of the First World?
Well this will be third thing I'm waiting on. Truck, mower, stove.
At some point one runs out of patience.
Thankfully I think I'm happy and reasonably well adjusted.
Others might not be...and I worry about the general psychological well being of our fellow citizens.
Good things folks are back to work, economy and inflation roaring away, but I still think recent years
have been emotionally extra hard on folks, the spirit of community tested in ways we've only known during war.
I'm hopeful the newly returned ability to give hugs will help that spirit of community.

Good morningIts 68 and supposed to go up about 10 degrees with intermittent rain. We got about 1-1/2” since Wednesday night.
I’ll have to go out and look at the rain gauge to confirm, but the Davis is usually correct.

Started another speaker yesterday, to go with the two currently in production. Be in the shop again today. Get to make music this evening.

I wonder how many regulars here have a Bridgeport in their shop, I suspect more than a few.
I would like one, but I have 2 manual mills at work, both complemented with Kurt pneumatic tool drawbar devices. Also have the digital readouts.
Kurt Power Lock Drawbar BR1000 for Bridgeport Series I STD 2J, R8 Variable Speed - 61-421-250

And they have variable frequency drives to make it super easy to change rpm. Neatest things since sliced bread.
VFD'S - American Rotary

And since I'm the only worker bee left in the shop, I have a reasonable amount of autonomy.

Just had my chocolate Texas Pecan decaf latte. It's my favorite.

Need to get out to mow....just waiting for some of the dew to dry off. Uhhhgh, it's humid. I fired up the tractors last night just to check them out. It's been a couple of months since the bigger one has been used. It has a bad habit of losing prime in the fuel line, but after a bit of cranking, she was running smooth. Me and the son went to Bucees gas station to fill up 3 jugs of diesel. $2.67/gallon....cheapest price in town. We got a couple of Slurpees, 1 for him and 1 for daughter at home.

Oldest daughter still at beach. I checked, and the beach has a high fecal bacteria count, so I warned her about it.....along with flesh eating virus...and red tide....and jelly fish.........they are supposed to come home today.

A lot of people don't realize it, (I may have discussed this before) but the Gulf of Mexico has, Killer whales, Sperm Whales, and it is a breeding ground for Atlantic tuna. there are some cool videos if you google them.

4th of July here, they are having a big bull riding rodeo, along with "Bull Poker". The heat might determine if I go or not....

Billy, I pray you are a patient patient. Somehow resist your temptations to do tasks, and take it easy. You can have plenty of fun/work/exercise later, if you first let your body heal.
