good morning all
happy vacation day Roy
Ted, so sorry about your beloved cat, not a good time for our pets it seems.

cloudy out now, around 70, going up to 80 with more rain this afternoon.
PT early then not much planned other than building a stair hand railing.
We got about an inch and a half of rain yesterday so no need to water today.

there was no place to park at small appliance store yesterday, will try again this morning.

Hot coffee taste good this morning. 53° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 73° with mostly sunny skies. Got visit with my Aunt and son yesterday. People were out on lake enjoying the great weather. Campground was about 5 miles from Sons house. Did some painting on table and chairs. Do another coat of Paint and Varnish today. Have a large pile of tree limbs to chip in the afternoon.

wnsprd....
Also TLC...Dr. told me once you need to be patient or you become a patient again.
That about the sum of what I heard at the doctor's yesterday. All looks good. For some activities I asked about, the reply was "you better wait 8 weeks for that, not the standard 6."

Rained all afternoon and all night, over 3 inches...glad I didn't water the garden yesterday.

Prayers said, Buppies.

Went in Lowe's yesterday to get some jigsaw blades...all they had were "T" shank...I needed U...that tells how long ago I bought this Craftsman jigsaw. Was gonna pick up some new Flags...they had none that I could find. :(

Good morningIts 68 and supposed to go up about 10 degrees with intermittent rain. We got about 1-1/2” since Wednesday night.
I’ll have to go out and look at the rain gauge to confirm, but the Davis is usually correct.

Started another speaker yesterday, to go with the two currently in production. Be in the shop again today. Get to make music this evening.

I wonder how many regulars here have a Bridgeport in their shop, I suspect more than a few.

2.37” of rain since 5 PM yesterday, still raining and more coming. We have a flood advisory now. Water standing all over. I got a load of Texas white stone in the rain this morning, going to pick up scalloped brick at Lowe’s later.
Not sure the weather is going to allow for any work outside today though.

Buppies, I hope that hand heals quickly. My father in law did the same thing in our driveway about two years ago. It was a nasty wound.

I hope everyone has the best day you can.

Good Morning!!!! 71F @ 5:00AM. Sunny. High around 100F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.

Here about the big fireworks explosion in LA? Apparently they were disposing of illegal, home made fireworks using an "explosion proof" container, and something went horribly wrong. 17 people hurt, a truck costing hundreds of thousands of dollars was torn to shreds, and lots of surrounding collateral damage as well. I wouldn't have wanted to be in charge of that exercise!

Some luck at the plumbing supply yesterday, but a fair amount of confusion as well. Wasn't surprised, with three different types of pipe involved, and lots of turns and twists. Salesman said over the phone he'd have all the parts by the time I got there; he didn't. Also said that the 2" poly pipe reels would fit in the truck; they didn't. Said he'd drop them off on the way to another call; he didn't. I cut my trip to town short so I'd be home when he came, so I'll just take the trailer down there today or next week and pick everything else up while I'm finishing up the other errands. My record for runs to the hardware store in a day was six trips, and it was also a plumbing project.

Had a message on Facebook Marketplace after I got home, and a fella came by and bought the backpack blower. He got it started on the first pull, so no wrinkles there. Got my price for it, so the afternoon wasn't a total loss.

Today I need to smooth out the trench bottom and get a 2" layer of tamped sand in it. Probably won't finish before it gets too hot to work outside. But if I can get a little bit of the project done every day, it'll eventually get finished.

TGIF, gang! Hope everyone has a safe and sane 4th of July weekend. Happy Birthday, Uncle Sam!🎇

Good morning! 74˚F heading to the mid 90s. Partly cloudy, chance of rain this weekend. Lake level is just 3' low now.

LS so sorry for the loss of Kassie.
Buppies, take care of that hand and stay hydrated.

Ron that is the barn my Grandpa built, that is where my Dad kept his trailer. I need to make a run to that barn next week and put up at least the lower sheets of tin to keep the calves out. Mom's coffeemaker made a pop noise and will not come on. I found a Keurig replacement at Target for $89 but decided to search the web when I got home. Turns out Keurig has the same model on sale this weekend for $69 and I gave them my e-mail address and they gave me another $10 off so I saved $30.

Since Whipper is better, today she gets a trip to the vet to get her yearly vaccinations along with Gray2. She was supposed to get her vaccinations 3 weeks ago but the vet said she needed to be healthy before the vaccinations are given.

Bird I'm mowing my grass with the EGO at the highest level (5) now that it is growing so fast. I mow it about every 5-6 days so I don't have to bag.
The voluntary cantaloupe plant did not survive the bug attack, but a second one has just came up. Beans and okra are growing an inch a day.
Neighbor down the street got his palm tree planted and is ready for the next deep freeze. He has a zeroscape yard (no grass) but the landscapers spent all week removing and transplanting freeze killed plants and palm trees. I don't think he is saving any money because of his choice of plants. Looks nice though.

Also said that the 2" poly pipe reels would fit in the truck; they didn't.

RNG I'm kind of disappointed. I would have thought a guy with Red Neck in his handle could load anything in anything if he just had a little string.:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Keep up the good work.

RNG from my experience with a long lay the temperature is a vital factor. The temperature difference from the early morning to the heat of the afternoon will have an effect on the expansion and contraction of the pipe/tubing before you bury it. On my lay of 2" pipe I started in the morning and that afternoon it expanded and snaked out of the trench by the heat of the afternoon. I had to wait till the next morning when it got cooler and the pipe un-snaked and settled back in the trench before I could cover it.

59°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 81° today. Was nice to not need the AC on in the car on the way to work this morning. No more rain in the forecast until late next week.

I've been half-heartedly trying to learn American Sign Language (ASL) for many years now, going back to about 2004-ish when I worked with a deaf quality tech in the auto industry. Some of it I occasionally remember, mostly not, though. We have a deaf welder at work, and one other welder who knows sign language. This week, that other welder stopped showing up to work. He's been talking for years about quitting and moving out to central Missouri with his family, and it's looking like he finally did it. So, that leaves us with no one who can communicate clearly with the deaf welder. He manages OK with reading lips and charades-type stuff, but we sometimes have to resort to text on a phone for more detailed communication. So, last night I dove into some online lessons to reacquaint myself with the basics and try to expand my vocabulary. I must have gone through the fingerspelling alphabet and numbers alone over a dozen times, and my right hand and forearm are sore this morning.

Sorry to read about your loss, Ted. 15-1/2 years is a lot of great memories, though.

Good morning all.

Today is going to be amazing. Low humidity, full sun and low 80’s.

I will do some mowing at the Farm, trim some areas and clean up around the house.

Then, this evening, I will officiate an adult tennis tournament.

Long day but hopefully a good day.

Take care and Good Friday!

Wife is still having a good time visiting family in Little Rock. She is a traveling woman.
