RS, if you look in the cats' belly you may find your missing bird.o_O

Entirely possible ... we have several neighborhood cats that stop by for visits occasionally.

Wouldn't be any of ours though, as the only time they are outside is when they escape the house and then it's typically only for a very short period of time.

I found out yesterday that my orange kitten (Tom-tree Kat [Tom for short]) likes cooked carrots, but today he turned his nose up at asparagus. He really likes peanut butter, mashed potatoes and yogurt. He also likes spaghetti sauce, I give him a saucer of milk after the sauce seeing as I like it a little hot/spicy.

LOL ... (y)

We used to have a female beagle (RIP) that would stand up on her hind legs to pick ripe wild black raspberries off the vines when we'd take her out for a walk. Too funny.

Sun and clouds, around 80, nice breeze.
Got my grass mowed yesterday, a lot of little things today. Had to get insurance certificates for car show later this summer and odds and ends. Sitting on the deck with Gracie, had put the awning out, morning sun was vicious. Not sure what I’m going to do this afternoon. Might put the bucket on and move some brush.
Have a good day and we’ll wishes to all who are ailing.

Coming on 2 a.m. Can't sleep so up having a cuppa. Steroids tend to keep me awake but at least they deal with the pain well. Dogs just created a commotion and woke the wife. They know I'm up so had to let them out. They just HAVE to be with me 24/7. Good company though. Not cold at all. Unreal weather for winter. Don't need the heat on at all even this time of night. Farm sale is progressing well. Shouldn't be too long before I can order my new shed for here. Looking forward to that for sure. Lots of plans for the future.
May do some mowing in the morning if the wife doesn't hang out the washing. Got in trouble last time. :( Yep, it's winter and I'm still mowing. Even the grass is climate confused.
New Bunnings store opening 30 minutes from here on the 10th. Save me driving through the city to get stuff.
Wife is planning her new kitchen. Then it will be the bathroom. Going to be busy busy from here on.

As far as it working, I haven't used it yet so.
C'mon RS, the anticipation is mounting!! ;)
Besides you have to test it before its one week warranty runs out.

put a good soaking of fish emulsion on the garden, both foliar and liquid.
Took me a while washing my hands to get that smell off...

sitting here with cold pad on shoulder, quite content.
Helga's deep finger massage must have done some good.

Wngsprd got me hungry for homemade corn chips.
They were blended and spread on the dehydrator racks. Another 9 hours and they will be crunchy.
Frozen corn, red bell pepper, onion, cilantro and spices.

Looking like this Friday at the earliest.

Besides you have to test it before its one week warranty runs out.

(Actually, it supposedly is a Lifetime Warranty ... although they don't say the lifetime of what ... and they say that it is not for use with any type of lime products ... WTH ??? ...)

Reminds me of the Vietnamese Fish Sauce The Woman used to use:

Three Crabs Brand Viet Huong Vietnamese Fish Sauce, 24-Ounce Bottle

Tasted great but the smell was really something else ...

sitting here with cold pad on shoulder, quite content.
Helga's deep finger massage must have done some good.

Glad to hear Helga didn't beat you up too bad.

I just had to take a break and get off my feet myself due to hip pain ... :(

Baby rabbits everywhere
Simply the coolest thing possible to have Ken, as long as your garden is well fenced.
Mine wasn't in NC, a few holes were chewed through, and lo and behold when I moved some
straw out shot six little baby rabbits in all different directions. They did not follow each other,
programmed perhaps to scatter in emergency. I then had to shoo them out a hole in the fence and for
sure fixed the fence. That happened twice, provided soft fluffy berthing accommodations to I think
an even dozen little bunnies. There were little bunnies running all around under the tomatoes and peppers
and I quickly learned the hose on gentle stream was a good form of prod and direction maker.
They used to frolic in my front lawn. I was glad to have them, they never ate my flowers. Smart rabbits.
I think it was here on TBN years ago that someone posted the way to keep the rabbits out of your garden is to sprinkle blood meal around the perimeter of the garden; that the rabbits won't cross it. That worked for me. Of course, I sprinkled more AFTER EACH RAIN. And the grass around the garden sure grew pretty, too, and had to be mowed frequently.:D

Hopper feeder and two sunflower tube feeders refilled, 10 mealworms each put out both front and back.

Cleaned spreader loaded in van.

Mealworm run to Eddie's done, fueled up Woman's vehicle for her while I was out.

Spreader returned to friend.

Rain now coming down at a good clip.

You can have your rabbits all to yourself. I used to shoot hundreds of the pests. Best evening shoot was 64 of the wascally wabbits. Seems they are making a comeback in some places. This area never had rabbits until recently and now they are destroying market garden crops. In NZ they are a real problem.
